I can totally see the problem, no worries. Though I would've put "step on" rather than "step to" in that case.

People normally aren't close to the same unless they are one of the more lazy kinds, if you measure someone from edge of their shoulder to the other edge, then measure one side, there is normally a fairy notable difference that can matter a lot but otherwise.

The post makes it sound like the action was already completed, not in the process of, that the shoe had already landed on the beam in Chimera's path, who is going slowly by the way, right at the spot she was already stepping to. which from reading posts, this throw was made from the starting point.

I would simply leave it to Demonic angel's decision since it's her character, but things are just confusing me which is why pretty much the only reason I'm speaking about it, thanks to the post and angle of the throw.

For a thin person, the waist from the sides is a bit more than 2/3 the size of the waist from the front.

For a medium-sized person, they're almost equal. This is excluding shoulders for obvious reasons; it applies to the center of body mass.
