Enyo was fine in the city and could get along with anyone anywhere but if you asked her where her favorite place was on Earth she would say it was in the grove near the entrance to her mountain. That is where she was at the moment. She looked around and made sure she was alone and she stripped her clothes off and dove into the water. She came up nearer the waterfall and swam around for a while. The waters were naturally healing here and she loved how rejuvenated she always felt after swimming here. Things had been crazy at the HQ and she just wanted to relax and get her focus back.

Shiver looked at Sigma and grinned. "uh Thank you. And yeah he can be kind of an ass. There are quite a few people at the HQ. Besides the powered there are mechanics, maintenance, medical and kitchen staff, and then there is R&D and security. I'm sure it won't take long for you to find yourself some friends. Everyone is pretty friendly." Shiver smiled and asked her "So what are your powers?"

Looked down at his new boots, he used his elbows to prop himself up Well..they have a bit of a kick to them... Rey said to himself until he heard someone come in. He looked over and pointed It's you! it's Mikey!.....uh....I guess I'm fine physically...but my pride was kicked in the nuts the moment you came in here seeing me like this...but I don't think anything is broken...so...could you be a pal and help this frail tech nerd up? and you need anything buddy? he said the moment Amelia spoke up to him.

Amelia arrived out back of Glitch's shop and simply sighs before popping him lightly on his bruised head.

With a pop to his bruised head to go along with his hurting pride, Rey looked over at Amelia while rubbing where she popped him Yeah yeah...I love you too...I loss most of my senses back when I was a kid. I'd take that advice from the famous dead black civil rights guy but....I think I'm already too far gone babes... he said checking around his body, brushing himself off.

Feeling the bit of energy Amelia flowed into him, he smirked about the idea that he wanted to show her. Ah yes! well Amie...I was going to give you these boots that blasted me through an oblivion but I think it would be too morbid even if you can heal very well...but it still needs testing.

Motioning his hand for Amelia and Mike to follow, he was strutting to his lab Amie...I have something I think would be quite useful...something that...well...if put to proper use...we can have a portable aid where we don't have too long to wait for healing from you until we get to you. An alternative...feast your eyes on this! I call this... "The First Aid Grenade" he said pulling out.

Glitch continued I'm still working on the name...but...anywho...how this bad boy works is...you'll place your healing energy in this capsule here and if one of us have this and are half the world away and are injured with...let's say....2 broken ribs...or internal bleeding or was in need of stitching...with the use of this, all they need to do is pull this out and click the button allowing the energy to flow onto their injury and depending on the severity of the injury...they could end up fully healed or....healed enough to walk and survive until they can get to you for full healing.

he wondered what she's think of such a creation. He didn't know if it would make her feel replaced...but this creation cannot work without her assistance so she would be very useful as far as giving the capsule full charge and being used later.

Julia Winters

Julia was nervous she was told just hours ago that she was going to be moving to a new home. A compound run by the government with superheroes running around. Would she fit in? What if they didn't like her? As these thoughts ran through her head she didn't notice when the company car pulled over to a stop. The guard ridding with Julia waited a few minutes, before shaking her arm hard enough to jog her out of her thoughts. "huh? oh, sorry." She looked out the window eyes widening in surprise. She wasn't quite sure what to expect, and this wasn't the largest building she'd ever been to. But, still the size was rather impressive. But, it was the security that made her shiver in discomfort. "Jeeze haven't had this many guards around me since my eighteenth birthday." The guard with her talked with the HQ security for a while informing them to contact the compounds leader.
After seeing the man get onto the radio with someone the gates of the wall opened up. Allowing them to drive to the front door, and then let Julia out. They drove away leaving her standing there alone with several guards staring at her. She moved a bit in discomfort averting her eyes to the ground. Hoping that whomever was supposed to meet her wasn't nearly this intimidating. Though as she thought about it she began to whimper a little. This was a government facility. She began to imagine the leader as a huge six foot tall heavily muscled man that looked more like a bear than a human. What if they were a bear? This was a facility with superheroes after all. So the guy had to be tough to deal with everyone, right?

The Hq's security had paged Shiver of Julia's arrival. That she was waiting patiently at the front door, and seemed rather hesitant to walk inside.

Enyo stays in the water for an extended amount of time. As she gets out of the water one would see bruising all over her back and arms. She puts her clothes on and if you got closer to her you would see a black eye. She wasn't sure what to do in this situation. She liked him and she couldn't hit him back, if she did it might kill him. He didn't like her to be super powered unless he was showing her off. Enyo put on a longer more covering version of what she normally wears and left her hair down so it would cover all that would otherwise be visible. She sped more slowly back to the HQ. She went up to train in the gym.

Shiver teleported to the girl and said, "Hello, you must be Julia! I just looked at your file. Very interesting. Come on and let's get you settled." She grabbed Julia's bags and walked past her. Putting them down outside the office she pulled a key card off of the wall and it gave her room 8. "You'll like the rooms. Really they are more like small apartments. You only have a partial kitchen no stove so if you like to bake you have to do it in the HQ kitchen. You do have a walk in closet, a full sized bathroom including separate showers and a tub, your own living room for entertaining and tv card games whatever you like to do and a large bedroom. All the beds are standard sized queens so you should have a lot of room even if you are one of those people who flips and flops all night."

Shiver showed her how to program her into the room. From now on all you will have to do is use your handprint to get in. "If there were an emergency Tia and I are the only other ones who could get into your room and that is because we are management. Fair warning, I teleport so I would be less likely to try the door. Here is your comlink." She showed her how to work it and opened the door to her room. "Missions are three shifts a day in rotation. There are people all around here. Just introduce yourself." Shiver groaned. "I have to get back to the office. I'm also interviewing secretaries if the Agency's girl doesn't get here today." She smiled and said "See you in a little bit, go explore the building. There is a map by the elevators."

Evergreen looks at the device and visibly pales her expression neutral. For two perhaps three minutes she doesn't even dare breath as she slowly brings herself back under control before speaking.

"Rey I know you meant well and for that I applaud you but your invention scares the hell out of me.

If it can make my energy transportable then it could make others as well.

All my existence I've heard people say from time to time that if my power could be bottled that they could name their price from those of power and prestige and fear their own mortality."

Then she suddenly hugs him and kisses him passionately breaking it reluctantly. Her eyes seem to focus so deeply on his as if she were reading his soul.

"I love that you like me seek to help everyone around us. I love that you look beyond my age an ability and see only a woman.

Maybe I'm being selfish and making this larger than it seems but I find it more common than not that those greedy for power can justify any crime and such a device well it might mean the difference between a despot surviving the death that would have freed his people

Julia screeched when Shiver just suddenly appeared out of thin air. Her skin quickly having turned from organic to metal due to her terrible fright she'd been unable to control her body. Having thought she were in legitimate danger, due to her thought process."Dear lord WHY! Why in the name of all that is holy would you scare a newcomer like that? Do you get your jollies from that you sicko!" She sighed out deeply trying to calm herself down her rapid breaths echoing softly like her voice. She soon calmed down enough to return to her normal state. She watched Shiver walk off rapidly talking at her. Clearly this woman was in a rush. So slowly walked behind this stranger who'd yet to identify herself. Good gravy, what did they stick me into the middle of? They could have at least told me the compounds leader was a manic. The company hadn't told her anything about the compound, and the people that were housed within. Figuring as a tool she didn't need to know such important information. So the first impression Julia got was of this weirdo girl who couldn't pronounce her name right. That apparently enjoyed scaring the daylights out of newcomers.
Hearing, and seeing her new living quarters felt like she were in a dream. While in the companies care she lived in a 8x8 foot room with a sofa bed, and desk. She'd love to finally be able to cook her own food. To even bake a cake or two it'd been years since she'd eaten food with any sense of the word flavor. "Wow, I don't think I've ever seen someplace so nice before." She then quickly turned to look at Shiver with a dead panned expression. "Please for the love of all that is holy! Don't just go teleporting into my room unannounced." She looked at the comlink curiously, and nodded her understanding of the mission rotation. Then watched the manic walk away, and she sighed out in relief of her her leaving.
"I swear I don't think I've ever met anyone more scatterbrained than that girl. But, she does have a point. I should explore the building. Maybe find that big kitchen she talked about." She looked at the map making a mental note of some of the places she wanted to visit most. Then walked out of her room after putting her clothes away into her closet, and drawers. She walked over to the lounge first looking around curiously. She had decided to look into all of the rooms first then head down to the kitchen to bake something. She took the elevator up to research, and development. She'd always been curious what it looked like in a room like that. She was never allowed to explore while in the companies care. She was only allowed into two rooms her bedroom, and the training hall.
Hearing from some of the security guards, and seeing the construction crew. Julia decided it was best to steer clear of R&D until it was fixed.
Julia went into the kitchen, and made herself a stack of fresh buttermilk pancakes. But, inside the cakes was a surprise, BACON! Julia had made bacon pancakes she'd always read about them, and wanted to try them. Now that she could she was salivating with delight. She'd even poured warm maple syrup on top. With her meal in hand she sat down at the counter eating while humming a happy tune.

The smile Rey had on his face started to diminish when his darling Amelia started to express how she felt about the device he made for her. He was a little disappointed but also concerned for her feelings knowing he wouldn't do anything that she felt uncomfortable with. Taking the hug and passionate kiss and returning them back to her, Rey looked back into Amelia's eyes before averting them.

He really cared about her feelings and she gave good points of reasoning about what could happen, mostly from her experiences in the pass. He couldn't deny that his device could bring about potential problems. He spoke up Amie...I....understand how you feel...well where you're coming from but what if....something happens to me like last time....and...you're not around this time? What if you come back and you see me dead because I couldn't get to you in time or you get to me too late? You know I don't want to do or cause you to feel uncomfortable.

Holding the device out This was just in case if we couldn't get to you in time...only something our people here in this HQ, who cannot heal themselves, would use...but I understand that this can be a potential disaster....I would like to put this to use...but this is just a prototype and if I could ask you one thing, would you allow me to try this? I'll just use it on myself and if you still don't approve, I'll scrap the idea..

WILD GIRL

Drifter slowly came to a landing inside of the Head Quarter's Compound nodding at a cute mundane grunt with strawberry blonde hair named Trent.

She knew he fancied her but the idea of retro sliding with a Homo Sapien was still not appealing to her. She was a primary and she'd heard countless times that her procreative partner should be at the very least an elemental. In the beginning when she was 15 it had gallery her to be thought of as breeding stock but as she'd grown older she'd come first to the conclusion that the squints were right in so far as describing her as the next stage of evolution.

She and the other Meta were the beginning of a new stage of evolution or a failed branch which might be forgotten as little more than a footnote an perhaps later nothing more than a myth. Jess didn't plan on being the last of her kind, she was a female of Homo Metus or whatever her kind became called in he future.

Still she smiled and waved to him before she floated past an into the building where her final destination was the lounge.

The coolers opened as she approached displaying their plethora of choices of ready made consumables

She quickly made her selection and was followed by three heaping plates that would have paused the appetite of a powerlifter.

Soon though she lay back on the couch not caring for what was playing on the TV as she was fed by ghostly magnetic hands

Roman Jaeger - AKA Velocity

Roman was in the gym, in the middle of a handstand. He lowered himself so that his arms were bent at a ninety degree angle. He repeated performed push-ups, not struggling in the least. His powers didn't require him to keep in shape. It was a given.

When the door opened, he saw Enyo walk in. Using his speed, he flipped to his feet, picking up his shirt and slid it over his barechest. He didn't say anything as she walked through the training floor. He stood on the mat, but then noticed her back as her tunic swayed a little as she moved. Bruises covered the back, but they didn't look like simple bruises. They looked like intentional hits. He'd been a boxer for years and received plenty of hits and so he knew what kind of marks were left behind.

"Your back is bruised..." He observed, speaking up in a deep baritone. "You okay?" He asked, looking across the room to her.

Enyo stopped and looked at Velocity. Her black eye visible to him. He had been kind to her and she needed some advice.

"I need some advice. Maybe you could help me?"

"Do you remember the other night at the gala? I introduced you to my date. Well we've been dating since then and he seems to think it's ok to hit me when he is frustrated or if he perceives the slightest infraction against him. I think he believes it's ok because I have powers. If I were to hit him with my superior strength I could potentially kill him. I've since decided I don't want to be with him and I'm not sure how to end it."

Enyo looked ashamed for allowing this to happen to her. She is very confused and upset. She wipes a tear away. "What should I do?"

Roman looked at Enyo, frown lines visible spreading across his features when she spoke of the abuse. He felt a little bit of anger rise inside his chest. "Any guy that believes it is alright to strike a woman out of anger is a pathetic excuse for a man."

"Tell him that, and leave him. If he tries to hit you, should break his arm." He said, no hint of exaggeration in his tone. "And if you don't think you can to do it..." He trailed, looking her in the eye. "I'll break both of them for you." He said, raising an eyebrow and waiting for Enyo's response.

Enyo nodded her head and tried not to cry. She was ashamed that she had allowed this man unpowered as he was have that kind of control over her when she was considered the Ultmate fighter on the planet by so many.

She started to cry. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have bothered you but I will handle it."

She nodded, "Could you imagine if he had been hitting a normal woman? How bad would she be? I need to do more but how?" Enyo thought a minute as she dried her tears.

"What if I went to his boss at the fire station? Would that maybe help protect the next girl?"

Omega stood by awkwardly as Glitch and Amelia had their heart to heart moment. He kept quiet, but with one of his eyebrows raised, you wouldn't need to be a mind reader to know how much he wanted to fast forward this moment.

He could have left, but the last time he left Glitch to come back later, he forgot. It's the reason why it took him so long to return. So, he waited it out. And waited. And waited... Fuck, I'm here. Might as well contribute to this conversation. They're not being lovey dovey anymore, so I can definitely jump in.

"You should give him a shot. Besides, I'm sure there's a way to limit these things after we figure out if they work, but we can't there if he doesn't try it out... right?" Omega commented as he crossed his arms and nodded to Glitch seriously. "Don"the make me regret this." He said before he felt the presence of another somewhere in the R&D area. It was not like it was uncommon for there to be others here, but he wanted to be sure. Who the hell? Weird, but not hostile. He thought to himself. He did not want to bring any unnecessary panic or distraction so he kept the newcomer's presence to himself.

Sigma smiled at Shiver, and it actually made her a bit more comfortable being at the HQ. Not only that, but she now had someone else who thought of Omega as scum. When Shiver teleported away, Sigma smiled happily as she discovered that she was not the only teleporter.

"So cool." She said before teleporting into the lounge to see Jess eating. She hadn't spoke to the girl you, but she thought she remembered seeing her fly off like a missile. "Hey, what are you watching? And is that TK that you're using. I guess Omega isn't so special after all." Sigma said as she teleported onto a plush chair. "I'm Sigma, you?" Sigma said before noticing a female enter the kitchen. She'd get to her next.

Julia Winters

Julia looked over hearing talking going on she was so lost in her cooking, and pancakes she'd not realized there were people around. Though seeing the girl teleporting around she was not amused. That was something she could do without, especially if she were like Shiver. She'd learned some of the peoples names from asking some of the staff about the people who lived here. She finished her stack of pancakes, and went to clean up her mess. She brushed some of her blond hair behind her ear, and sighed deeply. As her mother always told her: "Making one friend a day means you've had a good day."
She slowly made her way over to the two girls, and quietly sat down on an empty chair. The seat sucked her in, and she smiled having forgotten what real comfort was. She slowly dozed off due to her heavy meal, and the sheer comfort of her chair.

"It is very frustrating to think at my present success rate that I will never find true friendship or much less a lover.

Jess smiles placidly at the other Meta Female before she detects and odd magnetic aura surrounding the other new female.

Amelia bites her lip and struggles with a fear she's held since she was young and inexperienced an was held prisoner. The king's alchemist then had called her the stone in mortal form and the things done to cause her to confess her secret still haunting.

I understand your concerns but in all honesty must say that in my life all my lovers have been short lived in comparison to my own.

For a moment Rey was watching on wat Amelia until Omega spoke up, reminding that he forgot Omega was still with them. He turned hearing out Mike's suggestion or support towards Rey's cause and he nodded to Mike when he told him not to let him regret his suggestion.
I almost forgot you was here Mikey....sorry about the wait and the soap opera you're witnessing but...give me one moment and I'll help you, my friend.

he turned to Amelia and gave it a thought. He smiled Alright...and thank you for letting me try this. This is the only one I have so I'll keep it on me at all times. or safely away.

When she mentioned about the mortality of her lovers and her lonesome for what she's going to deal with in the future and the fact that she'll remember him, it was like a "what if" statement when someone speaks of inevitability. His mind constantly worked on improvements of the world...life even... and well...last thing he wanted to do is cause more grief so...like always....Rey came up with another idea in his head.

A smile formed What if you don't have to just keep me in fond memory?....what if....you don't have to be alone in the centuries to come?....I'm going to make sure there's no misuse of your power nor harm come your way...but you know....your words always give me an idea on something that I'd like to work on.

He looked over at Mike and grinned nodding Oh and Mikey, what was it that you were needing? he asked, attempting to talk to both.

Shiver grabbed the faxes and the missions sheet for the day. She called Julia on her comlink. "Julia we are going out on a mission in 30 minutes so get ready and wear appropriate attire for fighting. Meet me at the office in 30."

Shiver went into the kitchen and made herself a couple of sandwiches and guzzled a soda. She was anxious to get out of the HQ. She was so disgusted with all the paperwork. Bell's girl was supposed to be here this afternoon. Shiver was going to have a fit if she wasn't. Bell reminded her how well they had to vet her before letting her into the HQ. She had to be well...nothing short of perfect. Shiver teleported back to her office and waited for Gadget.
