Red Strike (Ro'Kun)

Ro'Kun woke up in his bed with his hair disheveled, pizza on his shirt, marker on his face, and his fingers smelled like coca cola for some reason. "Wild party..." he said, sitting up and rubbing his head. He hopped up, the pizza falling to the floor. 'Huh...' he remarked, and went to shower and change. As he stepped out of the shower, he heard his comm go off.

"Cal, Omega. That military truck just hijacked Shiver, follow it and report back to me asap!" he heard Tia say. Ro'Kun stopped midstride. "...These fucking boyfriends!" he said to himself. Were they not watching Shiver, or were they too busy watching her ass to notice her hands were cuffed?

Ok...calm down Ro. Don't blame them. All you gotta do...
"Fuck it." he said, leaving his room, his shirt on his shoulder and not even on his chest yet. He made his way over to Tia's office. "Hey."

"Omega"

As Omega received Tia's message, he shook his head took to the sky.

"Tia, your cousin should really consider being full time damsel in distress. She's a natural." He said in a bothered tone. "I think I found the truck. No others would be speeding through the city like one with a captured meta inside." Omega then chuckled as he landed in front of the truck and stopped seemingly with one hand. The grill of the truck crumpled and dented against his palm as the back wheels flew up before slamming back down to the ground. The impact caused the drivers head crash into the deployed airbags, knocking him out, which only left the passenger.

"Too easy guys... Hey passenger! Get out!" Omega said as he made the doors open before the man was violently pulled out and dragged against the pavement. "Shiver!" Omega rounded the vehicle as he called. Using his TK and strength in unison he punched a huge hole into the truck. "Why didn't you teleport out?" He asked in confusion.

"Sigma"

"THE MOST POWERFUL META IN CONSPIRACY?!" Sigma shouted in complete shock and slight outrage within the confines of her room. "Is he high?!" Sigma yelled again. "Ugh... Look at that idiot taking questions in his stupid body armor. I swear his existence gets on my nerves sometimes.

It was not long until Sigma teleported to the gym in very short black compression shorts, a black sports bra and running sneakers. Sigma was more of a show off than Omega was, but she focused more so on her looks than anything. She jumped up on the pull-up bars first, but immediately hopped down before teleporting to her room to grab her phone and speakers.

"Now I can start." She said after appearing in the gym with her things. She began playing My Chick Bad by Ludacris. "Mmmm, time to get this body workin'" Sigma said as she started working out.

Shiver

Shiver flew up against the far wall an then was bounced off of the roof and side walls of the interior trailer. She was fairly positive that she had a concussion as she woke up to see that she was in the truck still and the back door opened up and Omega asked her why she didn't teleport out. Her hands were bound behind her.

"My head is throbbing. Are you the reason behind that? Do you honestly think that I didn't try to teleport out? The cuffs he has me in shut down all of my powers." Blood ran down the side of her head. It shone very clearly in her white hair. "So much for impenetrable. That must be down too."

She was having trouble staying awake. "Get these things off of me. Take them to Glitch. If they can take our powers away they will kill us and use our powers for wars and other crap." Shiver was barely awake.

Shiver passed out from her concussion as the military approached and they gave Omega the choice. He could go away on his own or he could be shot. The research department of the DOD wanted Shiver for her "help" in making the world go 'green' on energy. In other words they wanted to make her a slave so they could run off of her energy.

There were too many trucks and armed men for Omega to get them both out of there safely. "This is Tia. Everyone to the HQ immediately. We have a serious problem." The helicopters and media were above him and he was having his second debut on tv for the day. "Michael, you have to leave her and come back or they will kill you. Their orders are shoot to kill."

It was breaking Tia's heart to say this. They were going to have to outsmart the government. The best she could get from the Colonel was that they wanted to 'learn' what the supers could do and free electricity that the government could hold the supply on was too tempting to let go.

Cal had been putting people in a safe zone (Area where the wires could not reach). When he heard shiver shriek. He turned, but for the first time in a long time, he was too slow. He stayed out of the line of sight for the truck and omega. He wanted to make sure he could help when he heard Tia's voice. "This doesn't seem right...just one truck I'll stay behind and suit up fully" in a whirlwind of red cal changed into his red suit and boots...where his regular clothes went is uncertain...but he probably is down one outfit and a pair of converse.

He watched omega break Shivers out and as he suspected more trucks pulled up. Without much hesitation he rushed into the middle and looked at the two. He had goggles on, a clear sign he was prepared to reach full speeds. "I can't carry you both...so I can either create a distraction or get Shivers out of here" he knew Tia could hear him through the com and wondered what she would say. He shook his head and turned so his front was to the men and trucks. He wasn't the fastest, but it was enough.

Tia

"Cal, Michael come back. We can't fight the military while on national television. The world would be after us! We have no choice right now you have to come back without her. We will get her as soon as we can!" They could hear the tears in Tia's voice. Shiver was her only family left and this was killing her.

Tia went into her room and changed her clothes. She had to look like Inertia when the media showed up. The HQ already had tv news vans parked outside it. "Everyone meet me in the lounge in ten minutes!"

"Omega"

Omega looked around at the opposition around he and his two teammates. The situation was not favorable and if he didn't make a decision right there and then, the consequences would be directed. He heard Tia's voice, but he failed to comprehend a word she was saying. It was like slur of words as he focused on his surroundings. As he felt everything around him. His eyes landed on the speedster. He looked Calvin in the eyes and nodded. Take her. Now! His thoughts were illustrated on his face as he squared up with his back against the truck.

"Go!" Omega whispered. The second that Calvin zipped off, Omega created a telekinetic shockwave that knocked vehicles and soldiers into more vehicles and soldiers. "You think your rifles and trucks can last against me?!" Omega shouted as rounds were fired at him. dust and debris kicked up from the large round fired from the mounted machine guns. As the debris cleared, fired rounds from all directions were seen floating around Omega. "Too easy gents."

However he was not untouched. His defense still had holes in it. Bullet wounds were easily seen from punctures on his suit. As Omega's body healed, the floating rounds around him began to encircle him before a soft chuckle escaped him. Without warning a second shockwave was unleashed onto the soldiers, with bullets now flying in their direction. Soldiers were left in fatal condition and vehicles being put into the state of catching fire only made things worse. With this second hit, he flew up and didn't bother to stop. He used his TK to create field around his body to protect himself where his suit was penetrated from the high altitudes. He wished he would have asked Jessica what this was like. He went higher and higher till he felt no one could reach him. Somewhere safe. "Tia you must have been crazy to think we would give Shiver up to the military. Call your boss. Now!" Omega ordered.

Visi-Play / Beast Mode

It wasn't long since Miles brought the things back to the R&D lab for Rey but Rey was not there. Honestly, the guy could never stay in one place. This was suppose to be a surprise but it would be for nothing if he didn't show up. After getting everything returned, he left a note letting Rey know he, Tia and Tito managed to get his things back and without his help as well.

Only a few minutes passed when Miles turned his comm on to hear some issues going on. Ti was calling for others to come back and he missed out on what was going on. Miles went to meet with Tia in the lounge hearing her crying and wondering what's happened.

Tito was at home watching what was going on with the military and the Metas who must've been the glorified freaks that Miles worked with. Tito shook his head Tch....Miles....you and your people are going to cause us metas so much hell... he said to himself.

"Tito! why didn't you join up with them!? don't you think it would be so cool to join a group like that....to be a reeeeeeaaaal hero....I would love to be a reeeeaaaaal hero. I would totally kick the military's ass!" Tito's face went smug from the annoyance of this girl who he met a while back Last thing we need is a silly, clumsy ass like you becoming a hero....you'll destroy everything you touch....hell I don't like you being around me with the power you have...you're too inexperienced and you show off too much...you'll harm more than help....so if you would SHUT YO ASS UP AND LET ME LISTEN TO THE TV! he said to the woman.

Cal saw the look on omega's face and knew what it meant. He acted quickly, his body vibrating as he sped himself up. He watched as the world around him slowed and cracked his knuckles. He went to one man and grabbed his gun before heading back to omega and dropping it close by in case he needs it. He then went to shiver, picked her up and took off before the choas began.

He ran straight for hq not even stopping for a delicious...okay he did stop at a hot dog stand and took one hot dog. Only one before he picked shiver back up and continued. Once he reached hq he put her down and stopped...this sudden stop resulted in him falling on his face on the floor near Tia. He gave her a thumbs up and stayed down knowing that he was probably in trouble.

He stood up and avoided eye contact. "Hey T...uhm...look who I grabbed...I should probably grab the other one.." awkward neck rubbing commenced.

New Look

Jess didn't hear or feel anything outside of her own pain as she remembered things she'd long ago hidden from herself.

"Right my sweet Robin mommy has to go and talk to the men in her old service to get us off the dole. Ms. Carter will watch you till mommy returns an I want to hear you were a good girl so be a dear and be a good girl." said Amelia Winchester to Jesse her eyes moist with tears and.....and anger?

Strange that only now sitting at the center of destruction in what had been the first nice room she'd ever known that she remembered her mom was angry when she left for the last time.

Then there was how they came for her in the middle of the night like an assault raid. Six men in black tactical gear had burst into Ms. Carter's bedroom where Jesse had been sleeping in a trundle bed as she always did when the woman watched her.

She now remembered the old woman screaming then it all went black...wait no Jesse remembered a sharp pain like a poorly wielded needle. Then she recalled in a hazy way floating in bright lights as people with no faces talked around her.

She's either dormant or a failure...
The major's genetic pattern was perfect......
Like wine we may need to age her..
Put her in the D-ring group where we can keep...

How many days past when she was in hospital Jessica couldn't say but she remembered waking to the sound of some Irish man singing Scarborough. Fair and then the sister hovering over her. When she asked about her mommy the sister looked sorry....no guilty or worried it was to hazy to recall

Later came Doctor Melton who followed her into the project and it was he who told Jesse that her mom had died.

"MOMMY! screamed Drifter as her tap into the magnetic field spiked. The room vibrated as if an earthquake had the building in it's grip

Tia hit her comlink. "Evergreen I need you in the office asap. It's Shiver. She is having a seizure!" Tia moved around Cal who looked up worried. Tia checked her mouth and laid her on her side. She was struggling with the handcuffs that were on Shiver. "Why can't I get these fucking things off of her? Glitch! bring something to get these impossible handcuffs off of her! Cal stay with her, please."

Tia was so worried about her she didn't know what to do with the military, who had for a moment slipped her mind. The noise from military helicopters above the HQ set the HQ alarms off and everyone in the compound was running to their emergency positions.

"Where the hell is Omega?!!! I swear to the Gods! He needs to get here before they kill him and us!"

Glitch

Glitch not too long left from where Amelia was, He was much happier and more lively now but when called by Tia, he rushed to where Shiver and the others were but made a quick stop to get his bag of tools and specialty tools and rushed to meet with Cal, Tia and Shiver.

Rushing into the office with Miles right behind, Rey brought his tools. Whoa whoa, what the hell happened? he asked, taking a look at the cuffs. What the hell? hmm... pulling out various tools to try and get them off. He grabbed a laser pick and while touching the cuff, he tried to detect if he could use his ability to unlock them but of coarse, his abilities were ineffective. after a few minutes of screwing around and 5 tools later, Rey was finally able to get the cuffs off

Rey was sweating trying to be delicate while getting them off and held the cuffs What kind of tech did they use to make this...I'll need to study this thing....I'm assuming to negates powers? he asked.

Doctor

Evergreen gears the call to the lounge and at first doesn't think it need concern her as a doctor till she hears her name mentioned
So curious she heads up to the lounge only to find that she is needed and that someone has built a negative device that blocks ability.

In the extreme she could just separate surgically Shiver's hands from her wrists then reattach them. But she thinks that should be last resort

Then Rey shows how brilliant he is by popping the evil things off allowing Amelia to begin healing Shiver

Tia

Tia waited impatiently as Glitch worked to get the cuffs off. "Thank you and yes we need to be able to combat these cuffs in the future. Doc!" Shiver's seizure had stopped but she wasn't conscious. Tia stepped aside and let the doctor in. Ro'kun was still there and standing aside letting everyone through. Cal was with Shiver and so was the doc. Tia answered the phone and heard Bell yelling about fighting with the military. "Yes, I know! Of course he wasn't authorized to do that!" Tia was pacing back and forth as the military got ready to blast the compound.

Tia went outside and she looked up at the helicopters both military and the news choppers. She went up to the 6th floor and looked outside the compound. They had brought tanks and trucks and snipers. Tia noticed this as one of them shot her in the chest. It was a bullet made of the same stuff as the cuffs were. Tia screamed and tried to blow him up. She realized instantly what they had done. She shoved her fingers into the wound and pulled the bullet out.

Then Tia pushed her hands out away from her body and froze the entire military and civilian scene. Choppers were stuck in midair like in a weird movie. People were stuck mid word, mid step and every other thing. Tia phased and let herself fall through the building 6 stories. "We are in big trouble out there. They are bringing the big guns. There is a tank out there! Worse than that is that they are shooting bullets made from that alloy or whatever it is that cancels our powers."

Cal seemed out of it. He did not know how to react to someone he cared about having a seizure. It took him quite a few moments to snap out of it and talk to the person talking to him. "She was taken by some guys and had those put on...the vehicle had the same type of tech" he shook his head trying to further get himself back. He watched as the handcuffs come off.and looked at evergreen.

"I had to hold her...differently so she might have some whip lash" he made his way over to Tia and gently grasped her shoulders. "T...I'm ready to fight with you. What's the plan?"

Visi-Play / Glitch

Rey listened to the explanations by both Tia and Cal and nodded while looking at the cuffs. He had a new task at hand when Miles using his vision to notice the military was outside ready to blast the place. Tia went to check and after getting shot and healed after getting the bullet out, Miles didn't wait for her to explain as he was on his way out so to defend the building So they think they could just shoot you and get away with it huh?

Rey noticed the military preparing to fire. The announcement sounded.

~ "Warning, pending attack detected. Warning, pending attack detected. Activating defensive systems." ~

parts of the ground opened up on the compound as double barrel plasma cannons came out along with laser blasters and flying drones emerged from around the building. The HQ Defense systems started to target the bigger guns and the drones were targeting the helicopters and soldiers. If it was a fight the military wanted, the HQ was going to give them one.

Rey smiled Ah! my baby is working just fine now....let's see what the military wanta to do now. I'm gonna study these cuffs while our HQ kick their asses. he said walking off.

"Omega"

"Sol... how bad is it?" Omega said as he floated in the Stratosphere. What he had done was extremely against his contract with Conspiracy. Disobeying orders, and ignoring the rules of engagement that he had agreed upon. "Damn it."

"The HQ is surrounded by the United States Army. Weapons are ready to engage on the opposing side."

"Ok, what about the media?"

"Also present. Footage of your self defense is repeatedly shown."

"Self defense?! More like plain old offense. I wrecked them. You think I can take them on again?" Omega asked as he looked down at the Earth. "Has the president made a statement?"

"Negative. The Army is equipped with... anti-meta munitions. The president has not made a statement as of yet on whether this action has been approved by Congress." Sol explained. Omega groaned before trying comms again.

"Omega to HQ, see if you can make a bargain. They can take me instead. I won't fight. Until then, I'm not coming down from my really high perch... unless I get hungry or something." Omega said.

"Sigma"

Sigma teleported next to Tia with her arms crossed, still in her sports bra and compression shorts.

"What the hell is going on outside? I was jamming out and then..." Sigma caught the news on a monitor. "Asshole! Tia we have to wave the white flag. We can't fight the Army, it's basically fighting the country we live in. We can't!" Sigma said in retaliation to Cal.

Warrior

The assembly of military and civil equipment somehow penetrated the pain and gave it focus snapping Jesse out of her mental chaos. She rose off her floor allowing her spatial awareness to expand as it collected a cloud of ball bearing, pins, geometric forms, wire and odd scraps of steel.

These items weighed collectively over a quarter ton and began a show rotation englobing her as if she were a sun surrounded by an angry asteroid swarm. She couldn't read the communications buzzing around her but Drifter's military training had her on full alert because of their potential meaning.

Under the circumstances Jesse decided to go radio silent as she formulated a plan as to how she must proceed.

Soon she left the building and pulled a pop up ping using a low level EMP wave so she didn't cause any of the civilian aircraft to crash. She climbed with a sudden acceleration and staggered velocity shifts and course correction no aircraft could match or predict.

It didn't mean she was completely free of weapons fire ad from several positions mundane grunts tried to use their weapons on her an struck her rapidly spinning protective steel cloud causing strange effects which she observed with great interest.

Drifter then went into a shifting corkscrew decent sending out rapid EMP pulses so she'd have a complete tactical map when she landed. But before she was half way down two of the helicopters fired missiles at her as if she were an ordinary combatant so she sent 20 ball bearings at each focusing them with her mind proving the superior fire control computer.

She was down and back in the building half a second after they detonated shredded by a focused stainless steel ball shotgun.

~The situation is poor and requires thinking outside the box~ she thought her eyes glowing with emotion.

Head Quarters was not built as far as she knew to withstand a combined assault and while she and the other Meta were a powerful force the Mundanes wouldn't attack them unless they thought they held some advantage.

That's when she remembered the ballistic rounds and how they disrupted her control over the section of her globe shield.

~Weapons that negate powers~ she thought applying her training to the problem.

They disrupted her ability but even they couldn't violate the laws of physics; once in motion objects followed the laws of nature.

Enyo

ENYO

Enyo came out in full dress battle gear cursed swords included. Alone she looked formidible, with the swords she looked really bad ass! No normal human on the planet would go near her with anything but kindness. "Woah, I thought the army was on our side. What happened? She had taken a nap and when she woke up all hell had broken loose."

Enyo went outside on the roof with Miles and the snipers laid off as they knew Enyo was a speedster too and that those blades were attached to a curse. She looked around outside the HQ. Miles? What in Hades happened?" She could see the heavy artillery and everything that that entailed. "Velocity you might want to come up to the roof. Bring Pixie, She might be able to enlighten us."

She hit her comlink. "Omega, I don't know what you are doing but So help me I will fire you before I even give you your promotion. You need to get back here now!"

Tia was seriously wondering if she was making a mistake by bringing him into management. She went on top of the roof to see what Miles was doing Enyo was up there already. Shiver finally appeared on her own. As she teleported in Enyo hugged her fiercely. Then she pointed at the mess below.

"Holy shit storms!" Shiver said under her breath. "Cal? Come up here you won't believe this?"
