MON: Monster Ops Neutralization
Hi ho! Smith here! How are you girls settling in to your new digs? Everything working out okay with the move? I hope you don't mind, but I snuck in and helped myself to your couch and what was in the fridge (your coffee is terrible by the way, buy new beans).
Never mind that though, because I've got a new assignment for you girls~
Meet Kyosuke Keita. Male, blood type O, 19 years old. You can feel free to address him in any order or by whatever name you want, he won't care. He's a local college student and forensics intern who's been put under our protection after he made a little... mistake that got him put on Night Parade’s hit list. You know, the extraspecies mafia? His lab was the one that processed the samples we sent in from the last crime scene (the messy one with the orcs), and he was the one who stayed up all night analyzing them. Because of him, we managed to finger our perp. There's just one problem. Those samples were supposed to be unsalvageable.
See, Boss Kairou doesn't like it when people drop loose ends for us to find. He's a meticulous man with a well-paid sanitation commission, and he likes his crime scenes to be as squeaky clean as possible so no evidence gets left behind. We haven't been able to catch him up until now, and we didn't even know the first thing about him until one of the little fish we caught with Kyosuke's analysis coughed it up. He's none too happy that Kyosuke ratted him out, and he's already tried to kill him once by setting up a bomb in his lab. Thankfully, Kyosuke was off work that day. We managed to evacuate the building quickly enough to avoid any fatalities, but the bomb still went off, injuring most of the lab members (some of them critically) and causing thousands of dollars in property damage. After an incident like that, we had to have him placed under protective custody.
That's where you girls come in. As of right now, I'm assigning you to be his personal bodyguards! Now, Kyo-chan is sensitive and a little shy, so I don't want you being too rough with him, okay?~ He's kind of a wimp and he's not used to extraspecies. You might break him, and we all know what would happen to you then~
And I don't want you taking this job lightly either. Listen. Kyo-chan found the evidence in what was supposed to be an impossible to solve crime scene. His cooperation is crucial in helping us nail Boss Kairou. That means Boss Kairou is after his ass. He wants him dead more than those fetishist pigs want their orc x princess and orc x knight doujinshi. If you don't take good care of him, he could end up dead or worse.
Unfortunately, despite the first MON test group's wild success, we're still just as understaffed and underpaid as ever, meaning I don't have the authorization to provide you with the additional manpower or equipment you're going to need for this mission in the long run. So how this works is you're going to have to pull double-duty balancing your normal assignments with protecting him, okay?~ If you need to investigate a crime scene, he comes along. If you need to tail a perp or pull an all-nighter on a stake-out, he comes along. If you get into a firefight, he comes along (and if he gets hurt or dies in the line of duty, heads that aren't mine are going to roll).
I know I'm asking a lot of you, but frankly, I just don't get paid enough to take on this kind of responsibility myself, so I'm leaving it all up to you! Good luck girls, and thanks in advance for all your hard work!

Dossiers
Important Worldbuilding and OOC Stuff!
- Interspecies Exchange Bill: This part is a bit difficult to explain due to all the different facets of the bill, so I'll just link to the wiki page about it. The basics are this though. Aside from cultural exchange, the bill is designed to protect the rights of both humans and extraspecies, meaning violence towards humans by extraspecies and vice versa is a crime punishable by severe fines, jail time, and in the case of various extraspecies, deportation. It's your job to enforce this, at least until further amendments to the bill start addressing this problem. As extraspecies yourselves, you can take a more direct approach to crimes involving extraspecies, which the normal police can only skirt around due to fear of breaking the law.
- MON: This is you. The Monster Ops: Neutralization squad. You solve problems that are untouchable by the normal police due to the Interspecies Exchange Bill because you're the only ones qualified to do so. You don't have much funding right now, especially now that the money is being split between two teams but has only increased by 50% from before. Do your job well though and your superiors might consider additional funding to promote the MON program as a vital part of the Interspecies Exchange Program and amend it into future legislation. Fuck things up and not only will your head be on the chopping block but so will Ms. Smith's, and potentially the future of the MON program and even Interspecies Exchange (depending on just how bad you fuck up).
- Hyakki Yagyō a.k.a Night Parade: Or as it's being called, the extraspecies mafia. These guys are a surprisingly intricate criminal syndicate of extraspecies run by Boss Kairou, who manages things here in Japan. Their history goes way back, long before the Interspecies Exchange Program, so everyone's best guess right now is that the founding members are all a part of the same family, or perhaps an old alliance of tribes turned to crime now that the opportunities are good. They work hand in hand with the local yakuza, and they're becoming more and more dangerous by the day. A breakthrough has recently been made by acquiring intel from an inside source into Boss Kairou's operations, a suspect nailed by Kyosuke's labwork. However, the time to strike is when the iron is hot, because it's only a matter of time before this valuable source of information is either freed from custody or killed by Boss Kairou. You have a limited window of opportunity, so make it count!
I was gonna change this so at least looked like I didn't just copypaste it from the last thread, but when I really thought about it, there wasn't much needed changing. So, blatant copypasting away!
