In Depth Appearance◄
Scout is a smudge in a crowd, a short, cloudy-haired smudge. A dash of color in a monochrome painting. A bright red thread on an otherwise snow white wedding dress. She stands out, and yet she doesn't. Being only 5'2" and finding comfort in silence, most wouldn't point her out in a crowd. Hell, most probably wouldn't even see her. But when she's alone, paints walls or reading out loud to herself or skipping through empty halls she is the most brilliant thing around. Curly, dark hair falls messily in front of a calm face, hiding her painfully apathetic expression. Dark eyes glare out at shoulders or faces or heads, lips curls at obviously mundane jokes, and still she is somehow pretty. Somehow pleasant to look at, even if show scowls half the time.
Layers of pastel shades and skinny jeans do nothing to hide her frailty. Her arms and legs are thin, not from undernourishment but from a simple disinterest in staying fit and strong. Her outfits vary with the seasons, though in the California heat she relies on muscle tees and sports bras and hideously ripped jeans to stay cool. If she had to pick nay word to describe her closet, it would be grunge. Because, literally, everything looks like it's dipped in tar and torn up with a pair of rusty ass scissors.

Habits & Quirks◄
☄ Staring. Staring.... Staring. Scout is observant but in the most indiscreet way possible. If you find she isn't staring at you then something must be wrong.
☄ Cracking her neck. A nasty habit spurred from her never ending back and neck pains.
☄ Curling her hair around her fingers. She jokes she can make a cat's-cradle sometimes, and then other times she accidentally pulls a few strands out and pouts.
☄ Humming oddly nostalgic but nameless songs.
☄ Spacing out. This is also what people assume her staring-state to be. She focuses in on one particular item and then day dreams, and she's been doing this since middle school.

Likes & Dislikes◄
✔ Cloudy weather, cold weather, winter time in general. She loves the calming aesthetic of snow.
✔ Pastel colors, pinks and purples especially. This fact comes to light in her everyday outfits.
✔ Graffiti, both viewing AND creating. She's a bit of a menace back home.
✔ People watching, because humans are just so amusing when caught off guard!
✔ Money... What? Who doesn't like money?
✔ Birds and bird watching. She think they're oddly fascinating and kind of stupid. Perfect combo.
✔ Reading, and writing. She can often be found scribbling in random paper backs, pointing out plot holes and mistakes.
✘ Police officers, teachers, parents... Authority, or being kept in confinement. She hates those who restrict freedom over everything else.
✘ Cats. One of them nicked her on the leg as a kid and she's had a phobia ever since. Even imitation cat meows and hisses gets her a bit anxious.
✘ Being ignored. Simple as that, listen to her dammit!
✘ Not being able to speak her mind. Scout doesn't speak often, but when she does she wants to be heard and responded to.
✘ Country music. For some reason she has a burning hatred for all forms of songs about tractors and blonde farm girls and the devil's fiddle or whatever.
✘ Flirty people. Seriously, step the fuck off.
✘ Eccentric and/or overly excited people. While she doesn't hate them per say they do tire her out faster than others.

Fears & Phobias◄
☠ Being left behind or forgotten. Being thrown away and left to rot with no one to lean on. It's quite awful to be so lonesome.
☠ Cats, mostly because of a childhood accident. She still has the scar on her leg!
☠ Darkness. She still sleeps with a nightlight (shhhh).

Personality◄
Scout, in general, is a laid-back, calm person. The is the only way one could describe. Like water off a duck's back, she takes life slow and doesn't let much phase her in terms of aggressive words or actions. Sure, she's a bit weird, what with her intent eyes and dreamy walk, and sure she may deserve a few harsh words now and then for her selfish habits, but Scout takes all these cruel things about herself and uses it as fuel to continue living.
Because for some reason, she thinks about dying a lot.
She takes life slowly, appreciating each moment she can, all while watching the busy people around her scurry around hopelessly. Scout often finds herself unable to relate to others, and as such she has trouble truly connecting with others and making friends. Those few friends she does have, though, are extremely cherished and held close. Scout loves people, maybe even to a fault, and tries her best to make and keep friends whenever she can (IF she can). To her loved ones she is loyal and protective, often throwing herself in the way of danger if it were to protect someone she really cares about. Scout's overall cynicism and general outward appearance seem to end up chasing most friends away, however, and due to this she is currently trying to better herself.
Scout is quite selfish, despite her best efforts. She is frugal when it comes to money and hideously self centered when things get rough,e specially when she's with strangers. Her distant persona can often times come off as cold, and because of this she doesn't attract many pleasant faces. The only time Scout looks truly happy is when she's painting a wall, running from the neighbor's dogs, or swiping another bit of cash from a poor passerby's pocket. When she feels adrenaline, pumped up, alive, she is free to laugh and smile like any other giddy teen. And that enough is fine for her.
Beyond all that, Scout is well in tune with her street smarts and is quite analytical on the "battle field". She relies on her brains rather then her brawns, but in the end without a solid team she is just another mind spilling words that don't matter.

Place Of Origin◄
Bisbee, Arizona
►
Background◄
Arizona is not all it's worked up to be in those damned indie movies.... If it's ever even mentioned actually. Who the hell talks about Arizona? No one!
Scout loathes Bisbee, loathes her poor house and poor neighborhood. Her parents are hard-working and ever so loving, but them being out of the house all the time drives the poor girl insane. Her minimal friends at school also leaves her feeling rather lonesome, so much so that she had begun to pout at home while her parents hastily cooked her dinner and packed her meager lunch for the next day.
On one of the very nights, however, int he middle of summer, Scout's mother Nicki started talking about some summer camp one of her co-worker's was bragging about. A sleep away camp down in California, full of activities and friendly kids from all over the states. Scout didn't buy it at first. She jokingly called it a 'waster of money' and then returned to sulking in front of her laptop, waiting for another mouthful of rise to finish cooking.
And then, a few weeks later, she saw an ad for it hanging against a light pole. Camp Liberty. The name stuck for some reason, and after some extensive research and a few chats with some rich white kids who she often partied with on the side of high ways or under bridges she told her mother she wanted to go next year. And that was that.
Scout Keller was Camp Liberty bound.
