(Far Location)
"Are you sure that blasted orb is around here?" Grumbled a blue-skinned demon that looked like he had spent his life in the weight-lifting room. Pretty much all of his body, even his hair, was just different shades of blue and he seemed a little blue on the inside too after searching a dark and somewhat damp cave in the mountains for several hours.
"Of course I'm sure its here, but its not like I have a built-in radar that can track it down to the nearest meter." A small, goblin-like creature, a madoshi, retorted to the big lug and crossed his arms. "Do you know how long it takes me to track down the magical signature of these, dragonballs? Just keep searching like Tyrus-sama commanded." The blue one grunted but did as he was told.
"This small crack looks suspicious." This time a female demon spoke up as she inspected a fissure in the wall that seemed maybe just large enough for something to hide in. She had Purple skin, pink eyes, long white hair that reached to her thighs and was certainly well-proportioned and in looks was very close to human. Without hesitation she stuck her hand into the crack and felt something smooth and curved. "I think I found it!" She grasped the object and tried to pull in out but the crack's entrance was too small for her fist and she got stuck. "Come on out you stubborn little!" Gritting her teeth she heaved, her hand and the object burst out of the wall. After dusting it off the orange orb looked like it had 5-stars in the center, sure enough it was a legendary dragonball.
"Ha ha, I found it this time!" Her moment of triumpth was short lived as the entire cave started to shake violently.
"Look what you've done! Because of your recklessness the cave is going to collapse!" The small madoshi cursed as rocks started to topple down from the ceiling on them.
"Heh heh, no use complaining after we got what we wanted!" The female grinned like a wolf and beckoned to the large demon, who quickly scooped up the protesting Madoshi and they flew out of the cave just as the entire tunnel structure collapse. Waiting for them outside was Tyrus who held out a hand waiting for the prize.
"Here Tyrus-sama, the dragonball is yours." The female bowed as she approached and set the orange orb in his outstretched hand. Tyrus closed his fingers around the orb and smiled. "Well done, I guess you were the first to fine the geocache this time. I'll have to reward you for your goodwork, Lissandra." Tyrus smiled at her and brought up a hand to her cheek.
"Tyrus-sama," Lissandra closed her eyes in bliss, expecting at any moment to feel his gentle touch, but while she stood there like a lovestruck girl Tyrus had moved past her without her noticing and never even touched her.
"But first I must say this is taking way too long! There's no excitement!" Tyrus grumbled and shoved the dragonball into a secret compartment inside his kimono along with what appeared to be the two-star and seven-star ball. Lissandra blinked and realized Tyrus had already moved past her and quickly turned around to attention, a bit red in the face from embarrassment. "It takes like two whole days for you to even find the general location of one of the dragonballs!" Tyrus pointed accusingly at the Madoshi who tried not to look frightened.
"Sorry Tyrus-sama but the dragonballs have an extremely specific frequency that is hard to locate, added to the fact that this is the other world I am a bit out of my element in this dimension." The madoshi made excuses to cover for his slowness.
"Tyrus-sama!" A voice came from the distance as a figured approached. This one looked quite a bit like a humanoid dragon, complete with scales and razor sharp teeth and claws. The dragonoid was rather large, at least three heads taller than Tyrus and looked quite powerful but despite that he bowed down once he was within a meter of the group. "I am sorry, I have no leads on dragonball locations, however I did learn something that could make our search much more fruitful."
"Oh? Pray tell me Xeroth, what could make this search for all seven more enjoyable." Tyrus asked pleasantly enough and decided to sit down on a nearby rock as he listened.
"Well it seems that previous hunters of the dragonballs used a magnificent item called a Dragon Radar. It can see the locations of all the dragonballs simultaneously and can pinpoint their locations quite accurately as well." Xeroth, the dragonoid answered, still in his bowing position. "I am unsure exactly where we would find one but I suspect if we can locate one of their labs we could find such a device."
"Hmm so we do a mini-hunt for an item to aid us in the more important one. Seems like a game-plan I can get behind." Tyrus laughed and stood up. "Alright everyone, Borg, stay behind with our Madoshi friend to make sure nothing happens to him, Lissandra, Xeroth, with me to do a little side treasure hunting."
"Hai!" Came everyone's combined reply, Tyrus, the female and the dragonoid flew up into the air to begin the search while Borg, the weightlifter looking demon and the Madoshi stayed behind as the Madoshi started to concentrate in order to locate another dragonball. Tyrus was getting into a lighter mood now that he had something he could actually try to do instead of just waiting around. Also from time to time Tyrus had noticed some interesting power levels so there was a potential for things to get a lot more fun in the near future. He couldn't wait.
