Cassius was prepared to strike the enemy, aiming to deal a painful blow to him, not to kill him just to incapacitate. Unknowingly he was plunged into a nightmare in that mere second, he had been frozen in place, just stuck in reality while everything move around him. He started to swing through his fist connected with something, he had a shocked expression on his face in reality but in this realistic instance his expression was fixed to one of anger and hatred. It was Mike, the captain, the leader of the team he was with, that wasn't possible. He put a hand around the downed captain's neck, squeezing his neck and beginning to choke him.
"No, stop!" Let him go!" He mentally shouted at himself, his grip only tightened on the dragon born, causing his airway to close in slowly. Cassius seemed to grin as he felt him struggling to breathe, seconds before he would pass out he loosened his grip. As he took in a deep breath Cassius knew the sudden rush of air would make him more lightheaded than he was already. A flick of the mutant's wrist snapped the captain's neck, killing him at the instant. Cassius' mind was further being bombarded by horrific thoughts, he feared that one day this could happen to him. He heard a feminine cry or rage and sorrow, a female with bloodshot red eyes with tears flowing down them rushed toward him.
It was Nari, Cassius tried so hard to stop himself, he instead put a boot to her face as she came speeding toward him, stomping her into the ground headfirst.
"No! NO!" He shouted out in his mind as he looked down, Nari frantically tried to push his boot off to no avail. He had a devilish smirk on his face as he stamped down on her head harder and harder, slowly crushing her skull, her screams resonated in his ears. "You didn't honestly think you could kill me did you?" He smirked as he brought his foot down, making the side of her head cave in Cassius was horrified to see what he was doing, this was
his fear though, this was
his product of imagination. Her screams had long since silenced, the damage to the battlegrounds were immense, buildings were toppled, leveled, and even scattered. Civilian bodies lay broken and strewn out across streets, leaning out of the broken windows of smashed cars. His teammates who were not so luck in the initial attack were torn apart or beaten into bloody pastes. Military equipment such as heavily armed tanks and gunships, he felt a body on his back, legs wrapped around him from behind. He felt a tingling sensation, like volt going through him, they in fact were, his metal covered him in that instance of feeling the electricity. He felt two numbed objects go to his neck, they bent against him, the electricity around him got worse and much more violent, sparks jumped across, galvanizing metals. He picked the the attack by the shoulders and slammed them onto their back harshly, the force cracking the asphalt. He saw her, the one he was supposed to keep safe in his mission, her wound from her attacker in the orb room bled.
"NO MORE!!!" He shouted as his nightmare self's fist went down toward her face, it was stopped by another hand, showing itself to be attached to Cassius, out of his metal form. "Stay out of my head!" In reality he clasped his head as he yelled those words toward his attacker, fighting his counterpart in his nightmare. His victory granted him freedom, he broke from his mental prison.
"Brother, isn't it amazing? This whole dimension is ours, neither heaven nor earth has escaped our dominion." A voice spoke as he watched out of the window of their castle, his Devil Trigger gauntlet on his left arm. "I suppose, but if we are to further expand our rule we must find other dimensions to rule..." The other spoke, he wore the same type of Devil Trigger but on his right arm. The two slashed into the air in front of them and a portal formed in front of them, a tear in the fabric of space-time. They stepped through and were greeted by the endless screams of agony and sorrow, the intense heat, and the deadly hell-beasts, the pits of Tartarus, the hell that their world had was much worse than any kind of fathomable hell.
The two were greeted by the individual sounds of loud, ear-piercing, banshee-like screeches advancing toward the, Their Hell-Hawks were ready to take them to the true palace of hell they resided in, after a few minutes of flying they got to their hellish and dark palace. "Brother, why didn't just fly ourselves?" Bastion asked, hopping off of the large beast, Alistair did the same, patting the large winged creature's head, purrs of happiness escaped it. "Because, they were already here for us.." He smiled, moving away from the beasts and walking down the path with his brother, opening the font gates. He wondered how their most loyal partners were to greet them. The two opened the large door to the palace and stepped inside, smiling a bit.
