Feel free to suggest more locations! I will be adding more myself when I get the time, but this should be enough for now =)
North Rawyn
The Beach - For most of the year, it’s a picturesque expanse of sand, marred only somewhat by the growing global threat of pollution, the recently constructed offshore windfarm, and the gigantic concrete sea-wall stretching across most of the coastline. In the Summer and bank holidays, you can’t see the sand for the sunburnt-scousers and their kids making the most of their time off. This is good for the town’s economy, but not so good for the picturesque scenery the townsfolk enjoy in the off-season.
The Prom - Rawyn promenade never quite lived up to the hype of the golden age of the British tourism industry, and so was never troubled
too badly by its subsequent decline. There're a few shops selling rock and those weird toffee-dummy things, a few more selling various items of beach paraphernalia such as buckets and spades, a hell of a lot of chippies, and a hell of a lot more slightly run down-looking B&Bs.
Eastfort Shopping Centre & Market - There are shops. Not very many, and not very good ones, but there are shops.
North Rawyn Primary -The primary school serving North Rawyn. Quite nice.
Eastfort - The main suburban neighbourhood in Rawyn, located in North Rawyn. Most of the people living here either own their home, have a mortgage, or are paying a
hell of a lot in rent. Quite a low crime rate, also quite a low haunting rate. Everyone here trims their hedges, cuts the grass, and actually cares about hosepipe bans.
Shifting Sands Caravan Park and Camp Site - A, slightly dilapidated, caravan park an campsite. The owners, the Smith family, tried to rebrand as 'Shifting Sands Resort' a few years back. It did not work. They still have a pool though, if guests are willing to brave the weather, the accumulation of black goop congealing between the tiles, and the old man who's been sunbathing on the only deck chair at the poolside since the place opened.
South Rawyn
The Community Centre - A crumbling wreck of 1960’s architecture, yellow tiling, and child-germs, but still weirdly welcoming. Home to a pool, a hall, and not much else. Every kid in town has had a birthday party here, and every kid in town knows you
do not touch the strawberry laces sold at the tuck shop run out of the reception. The hall is available to hire for functions for £10 an hour, but the karate club instructor gets it cheap because she’s sleeping with Linda, the receptionist. Only mostly haunted. The local witch's coven meets here every Sunday.
The Farm - Not an actual farm. Actually a
slightly rough council estate located on what used to be farmland in South Rawyn until it was bought by the council in the 80's and heavily developed. Rough by Rawyn standards, but not really by the rest of the world's standards. People here care a little less about hosepipe bans, and a little more about the fact that the squirrels seem to be watching their every move.
Rawyn High - Where all the teenagers living in Rawyn and the surrounding villages are. Kind of falling apart. Needs more funding. The only reason it wasn't shut down years ago is because the nearest alternative is fifteen miles away and just as bad.
South Rawyn Primary -The primary school serving South Rawyn. Not nice.
Rawyn Castle - Less of a castle and more of a crumbling ruin on a hill. There's still guided tours running all day every day though, not to mention an extortionate gift shop selling beer mats with the Welsh flag on, and an equally extortionate cafe selling cakes that the owner, Mabel, bakes herself every morning. They have a...
questionable hygiene rating. Very, very, very haunted,or at least, that's what they tell people on the tour.
The Lighthouse - Do not go here. Ever. Hidden away in a small bay, well away from the main beach, getting to it involves descending a crumbling path cut into a sheer cliff face, and is almost as dangerous as the place itself. Even tourists know to stay away.
