Overall, I try to be a very open minded, accepting, and non judgy person. I try to see people as people. I could care less about what gender, sexual preference, race, religious background, political views, etc. Are because it's really none of my goddamn business. I care about who you are as a person and how you choose to treat others. I will always try to polite and kind to everyone until given a reason not to be. You want my respect? Then earn it just like everyone else does. Don't force your views and morals on me and I will not force mine on you. It's that simple.

Personality Sophie is probably one of the sweetest, warm hearted, and loyal person you will ever meet. She is your shoulder to cry on and will always do everything she can to make you feel good about yourself. She will fight for you, even if everything is pointing against you. If you befriend her that is. Sophie is a loner, and as such, she is very skeptical of others and has only a few real friends. Compliment or praise her? Tell her she's pretty? She won't believe you. Unless you make some grand gesture or she has some really reason to trust you, you aren't considered her friend. Want to really get her attention? To get her to fall for you? Well... I hope you like a challenge. She isn't lonely in the slightest and doesn't really care what anyone thinks or says about her.
Sophie also is what you'd call a short fuse. She always will be a bit feirce to the point where it's charming, but get on her bad side then expect the only thing that she will say to you is "piss off". Pull a small prank or startle her with a loud noise? You are immediately on her shit list and expect her to chew you out with some cussing. She is as tough as nails and can always take a few blows as well as dish them out.
Abilities Pyrokinesis: Sophie has the ability to manipulate the shape and size fire and use it as a weapon. However, she herself cannot create fire out of nothing; she needs a source like a lighter or matches or a bonfire. As a side effect of her powers, she is highly resistant to fire and heat; meaning that she may not be entirely fire proof but she is able to withstand a lot more than a regular humans before she actually shows signs of burning.
Bio Sophie's childhood was that of any average middle class citizen. She was loved by her human parents and went to a public school where she had a small, close knit group of friends. She was around 6 years old when the gifted race was discovered an it was clear that her parents had an extreme hate towards them.
About 7 years later, Sophie's middle school caught on fire due to a heating malfunction. Everyone had made it outside safely.... Except for Sophie. Firefighters rushed into the burning school to find her and found the terrified girl walking the hallways. The firefighters knew something was wrong from the moment they laid eyes on her. The fire surrounding her receded to a 3 foot radius wherever she walked, her right eye was a brilliant glowing crimson, and while her clothes were slightly burned, there wasn't a burn on her body. Instead of being rescued, Sophie was arrested by the wardens waiting for her outside, disowned by her parents, and believed to be the culprit of the fire. They were about to haul her away, when she suddenly fought back, using the flames as a weapon for the first time and killing a warden in the process. She then ran for the slums and the story was on the news for a good month or so, and she was labeled as an extremely dangerous criminal by the Warden program.
With the temporary dying off of the Warden program, Sophie lived the remainder of her childhood years at a shelter in the slums and making her keep by doing any odd jobs available. Her life has definitely not been a easy one, but now with the revival of the Warden program, it's about to get more difficult.
Post Example
Locking the door behind her, Sophie stood outside the shack she had called home. She wore a filthy hoodie that was 3 sizes too big for her with a plain grey T-shirt, black jeans, and old worn out sneakers. It was a rather chilly morning in Manhattan, frost grew thick on the broken window panes, a chill turned one's nose and cheeks a bright red, and made the air smell cool and crisp and less like vomit, but this mattered little to Sophie. What really mattered right now was finding a new lighter as her current one was almost out of lighter fluid.
Sophie looked down at the old, slightly rusted lighter with a sentimental look in her eyes. "You've served me well, old chum, but alas you're at your journey's end." She said with a sigh, then shoved the lighter in her pocket and made her way down the steps to the sidewalk. She walked at a casual pace and seemed to be in no real rush to get anywhere, but that was probably because she had nothing better to do. For once in quite a long while, she had the day to herself and didn't have some odd job to worry about.
Sophie glanced at the old, wrickedy buildings and the cracked sidewalk, trying to see if she could find a new crack she hadn't seen the millions of times previously when walking down this same god awful street. "God, no wonder why people go nuts living in this dump..." She thought as she paused to notice some drunk in an alley, before pulling her hood over her face and continuing on her way. She figured that she probably could have easily stole the lighter off of the drunk like she did with her current one, but figured that she wouldn't be much better than him. She knew she had grown considerably since the last time and took great pride in that, so stealing was out of the question.
Sophie eventually made it to a little gem known as Jack's Craft Shack. It was a quaint little store she had found a while back and the owner was her main employer and close friend. A small chime rang as Sophie entered the store and she was immediately greeted by the stores owner, followed by a young child clinging to his leg. "Mornin' Sophie. What brings you here so early? You know I don't have any work for you today." The man greeted her in a tired, deep, raspy voice.
"I know. I'm here on personal business. Plus, know how much you miss me not being around." Sophie replied with a smile, to which the man responded with a slight chuckle and a slight scratching at the stubble on his chin. "So who's the little cutie that you got hiding behind your leg, Jack?" Sophie asked as she kneeled down to get a better look at the little girl, who shyly retreated and whimpered slightly. Sophie then noticed the color of her eyes and shot Jack a questioning look.
"Her name is Ace, she's a gifted with Pyrokinesis as well." He replied and pet the girl's head affectionately.
"How old is she?" Sophie asked as she stood back up.
Jack hesitated for a moment. "She's 8." He finally answered.
"8? You're sure? That's still so young! So what? You're fostering her? Adopted her?" Sophie replied surprised and concerned, to which Jack responded with a slight nod. Sophie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Jesus Christ, Jack... I hope you thought this through... you know full well that this is no place to raise a child!"
"You know no orphanage would take in a gifted child and I'd rather take of her myself then hand her over to some shelter. " He paused then sighed. "Anyways... why did you come here, Sophie? You said you were here on personal business."
Sophie sighed. That's right... she had completely forgotten about her real reason for coming. "Yeah that's right I am. I need a new lighter, got any new 'shipments' in stock?"
"Go ahead. Help yourself. I'll extract the total from your next paycheck." He gestured to the display case with several lighters inside.
"Paycheck? What paycheck? You don't pay me nothing." Sophie laughed as she picked out a lighter, to which Jack responded with a slight chuckle. With the new lighter in hand, Sophie made her way to the door. "Alrighty then. See you later, Jack. Bye bye, Ace." She said and offered Ace a smile and a small wave.
Not much longer than 30 seconds later, the store door opened up again and Ace ran outside and called after Sophie, "Bye bye, Fire lady! Come back soon, ok?!"
Other She has some knowledge of handling firearms and always carries a lighter on her. Theme Song:
Sophie laughed softly as the DJ retaliated in a programmatic melody. She noticed how he had changed up the music and to tried to match it with her tune while keeping it fast paced enough for the others to dance to. However, Sophie was going to have to refuse the DJ's proposal and she was going to it with style, by throwing him for another loop. She backed away, further into the darkness, yet had a method for her "madness". The cliff's natural acoustics; she was going to use them to elevate her voice.
She took another deep breath. "Naughty little prince, sitting on the throne. This choas, this calamity, this garden, once so perfect! Give your immortality to me; I'll hang you up among the stars!" Sophie sang back then paused. However, when she sang, the natural acoustics of the cliff created an echo effect that made her voice echo and become much louder than before. Not only that, but her singing had changed from playful, to slightly aggressive and pleading, yet still held a ghostly tone, and her tune had changed completely. "Who shot that arrow in your throat, who missed the crimson apple? And there's discord in the garden tonight! A songbird like me up on your regal perch, would certainly be a sin! Come fly with me!"
Sophie then finally fell silent and awaited what the "little prince" had to say next in their little game of music.
As Sophie made it to the other side, something caught her attention and caused her to freeze in her tracks. Though it was discreet, the DJ was calling her out. At first, she wasn't sure what his lyrics meant, but then she saw him looking at her with somewhat of a smirk painted across his lips and understood completely what he was trying to do. He was calling her out and the very thought of it made her snort then laugh a bit. He was baiting her, and she was going to let him and play his little game, for now at least.
While she wasn't much for trying to take center stage, just this once she was going to allow it seeing as how most of the guests were either drunk or trying to get it on; nobody would remember this in the morning. Sophie took a deep breath. "Bad little boy, trying to be a man. This little song bird has got to fly away, but for now, come stay and play a while." She sang back to him, just loud enough for him to hear her without going over the song. Rather than trying to sincronise with the music playing, she sang to her own tune in an act of retaliation while playing by his rules at the same time. Her voice was surprisingly eerie and ghostly, yet beautiful and sent chills up the spine, and her notes were much slower than the ones the DJ played. Her words were obviously a taunt, but the smile on her face made it more teasing and playful or a lame attempt of being seductive rather than it being hostile. The look in her eyes said: "Your move, piano man"; as she backed away into cover the dark night once more.
@gowia oooooooh hoo hoo! Jack calling Sophie out! And it's through singing! *Claps and giggles excitedly* expect Sophie to sing a little response back! ;) *Winking intensifies*
