Do you think God stays in heaven because he too lives in fear of what he's created?

I saw a one-legged man at the ATM. He was checking his balance.

Where do bad rainbows go? To a prism. It's a light sentence, but it gives them time to reflect.

We're going to get this show back on the road for I've already started working on...something. It'll be very slow moving, I imagine, but I've realized that this RP was so much fun and it's never too late to kick it back into high gear.

But for a timeskip, what do you guys think about 2-3 months?
By now, roleplaying and the Guild must come like second nature to us. Logging in and checking our notification boxes every day is just as normal as brushing your teeth, Nutella for breakfast or coffee at work (disclaimer: may not be an accurate representation of your daily routine). But what was it like clicking on that icon for the first time, staring as an unfamiliar "role player guild" loaded up? Would your life be any different if you'd never gone through registration? What was it that reeled you in and convinced you to stay, be it for a week, a decade, or anything inbetween? Hell, had you ever roleplayed before joining the Guild? Answer as many or as little of these questions you want and make a discussion of it down below! Feel free to offer your own prompts for discussion and mix things up, anything to get people talking (in a productive and polite manner). Like before, a lively thread is a happy thread!

I have been roleplaying on forums across the net for a little over 10 years now, so the Guild was not my first roleplaying experience. Was it my first forum that was roleplaying-centric? Yes, it was. As to how I was introduced to it, I can't remember exactly what it was. I know a few people had told me about it around the same time (they were on two different forums I was active on at the time). What I do know to be a fact is that I joined OldGuild around 2009. I don't know which month it was, but I do know that I wasn't a fully-fledged, active member until late-2011/2012. It wasn't until NuGuild where I for sure became a rising figure in the community. While I'm not as well-known as others, I like to think that people know the name "Altered Tundra" (for better or for worse).

I definitely feel like the writer I am today wouldn't have been possible without the Guild because some of the characters I've made, who ended up becoming main characters in the story I'm currently writing. I'm also a better writer because I've met some of the most talented writers here on the guild.

I have forged a lot of friendships that ended up becoming some of the best relationships I've had. These are amazing people that I am proud to call my friends and am honored to have met. I believe everything happens for a reason. I definitely feel like meeting these people at this point in time was all possible because of the Guild. And, of course, as an extension, it is because Mahz decided to make this site 11 years ago. I can't be thankful enough for all of his hard work for keeping this site up and running out of his own money.

Welcome to our frosty tundra. You'll find that some parts of it is a little altered.

Okay but seriously, welcome aboard! Feel free to message me if you need any help getting around the site. As I understand it, the mechanics of the Guild and Facebook are quite different RPing-wise.

Noted. We can post sporadically next month, but I think we aren't exactly known for speed posting.

If we were, then I imagine Zestasia would've had several assassination attempts done on him by everyone on the cast (save his brother...maybe).
I'd love to post but double posting is against the rules, innit?
Go for it, my dude. Unless you're patient enough to wait for the others to post. If not, then I second Lemons.

Sapporo, Japan
Ishin Academy, April 7th

Today was the day where Yuki’s life was going to change. It would be the start of his journey to being a hero like his father. Maybe it would be the start of being a hero like his mother. The truth be told, the young aspiring hero had been thinking about this for a long time. It wasn’t just when he had arrived at Ishin Academy. Yuki had been pondering about this for months — years, even. If he was being completely honest with himself, he had been stuck on the eternal question ever since his quirk had activated and his parents, in their own way, talked to him about how happy they were he had his quirk. As heartwarming as it was to see the pride on their faces, though a little less obvious on his father’s face, Yuki knew from that moment he would have this internal conflict about what kind of hero he wanted to be.

What kind of hero do I want to be—

Yuki’s train of thought was interrupted by the sound of the train stopping at the Sapporo train station. He holstered his bag between both of his arms, placing it perfectly on his back. He popped in his earmuff-styled headphones and let the sounds of lo-fi hip-hop surrender all outside noise.

Yuki seemed to make record time when he left the train station and traveled down the main road that led to Ishin Hero Academy. Along the way, he was going over a number of things in his head. He was recalling the interview to get into the school. He also thought about how honored he was to be accepted into the second-best Hero academy across Asia. Would he have liked to go to UA? A small part of him did, yes, but at the end of the day, Yuki tried to keep true to what he been taught. And that was being grateful for what he have while also aiming to be the best in whatever environment he was placed in. Even if Yuki didn’t always show that he was determined to approach this school as he did with everything else.

“Smile wide. Be gracious and friendly. You can do this, Yuki.” He muttered to himself, walking through the gates of Ishin Academy.

As many times as Yuki had looked it up on the internet and saw photos of it, there was nothing like actually being there in person and seeing just how grand of a school it really was. The building, the people around him — it really made Yuki truly blessed to be here, if not freezing him still at the front door that inside.

Yuki’s frozen form was forcibly pushed into the academy by what seemed like impatient students. He heard various forms of the usual ‘move it’, which prompted Yuki to step to the side and allow them free passage. Yuki played an unknowing version of ‘follow the leader’, trailing close behind someone with dark hair.

When he got to the auditorium, he didn’t know what to make of all the people around him. The young teen hesitated to make his introduction to those around him that he heard talking. This was to be the moment he’d never be able to take back. First impressions were everything and they were eternal. The words he said and the way he presented would present himself was something Yuki would never ever be able to take back. Once they were out there, that was it. For better or for worse, this was the moment to impress.

But how? Go in there with minimal reactions and words like his father or blazing with an infectious and boisterous charisma like his mother? Either option presented itself with just as many pros and they did cons and with an infinite amount of reactions resulting from the decision. Whichever choice he made, Yuki made a mental note that it would be made when the time was right.

As he was appointed to the first year batch, Yuki would look at all of them. They seemed to be involved in a current conversation, but Yuki knew he had to make his introduction as clearly and percisely as he could. So he went for it. “Good morning! What a beautiful day it is, right?” He started, finding that to be a good conversation starter. “I am Chikai Yuki. You can call me Yuki.”

What a first impression that’ll make, eh?
