“No one knows what you have been through or what your pretty little eyes have seen, but I can reassure you ~ whatever you have conquered, it shines through your mind.”
― Nikki RoweIf I never get sober, fuck it
The heart wants what it wants
If I never get over you, fuck it
Well, I just wanna be blue sometime
I don't wanna get better,
I wanna burn like the Fourth of July
A little bit I got to fill me up,
a little bit of spit in my eye

Appearance Details
Hair: Naturally dark brown, but Joey being the vibrant soul that she is, regularly dyes it different colors. Sometimes she will dye it multiple colors at once. Joey’s hair, when unstyled, is still relatively short as it falls just past her shoulders. As someone who one day wants to be a hairstylist and cares about looking cute, she often wears her hair in a myriad of styles. Among them are:
Space Buns |
Pigtails |
Modified Pixie Cut |
Naturally Wavy/StraightEyes: Joey’s eyes are a peaceful, grounded center of a deep sienna, like the bark of forest trees.
Height & Weight: Joey is five feet of pure radiant brilliance and high energy. And though she is short, she weighs roughly around 120lbs on account of her body shape.
Body Type: By all accounts, she is somewhat
thin | Joey has
curvy hips and thick thighs, as well as a
full rearClothing Style: Joey’s fashion aesthetic is a n equal mix of sporty casual and risque rave.
Joey’s day time and everyday outfits has a strong mix of midrifs, sweatpants and jeans, booty shorts and denim jean shorts, and mini-skirts. She always wears some kind of choker with every outfit, though she does alternate between various colors. She’s a flats and sneaker kind of gal. |
1 2 3 4 5For when she goes to parties and/or raves, one might say that Joey’s attire is a little less conservative. She loves her body, so she isn’t afraid to show it off. Sometimes this has her wearing bras, shorts that stop before mid-thigh, fishnet stockings (very rarely though), ultra crop jackets, mesh mini-skirts, and so much more that her parents wouldn’t approve of. |
1 2 3Makeup Wise: Colorful and bold is a good way to describe Joey’s makeup. Mascara of all shades, lipstick that glistens in the light, very
euphoric eyeshadow.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: If it can be pierced, no matter how painful or where,it is. | Joey has three tattoos -- all located on her left arm: a white rose on the inside of her wrist, the pansexual flag on her inner-elbow, and a purple heart over her ring finger.
Personality Traits
Compassionate ♥ Vibrant ♥ Fearless ♥ Excitable ♥ Empathetic ♥ Curious ♥ Artistic ♥ Introspective ♥ Unpredictable ♥ Wild ♥ Recklessly Careless ♥ Self-Destructive
Whether it’s a new outfit, debuting her new hairstyle, or even announcing herself to her friends, one thing Joey is always about is the aesthetic of the moment. Her ability to command a room to look at her seems to be unrivaled only because her vibrant smile and bold approach to fashion demands that she be looked at and she would be lying if she didn’t at least half-appreciate the attention. Admist this, though the attention will linger, she is undoubtedly a kind soul with a lot of love to give and plenty loyalty to spare. She is probably the best kind of friend to have because if you need to talk, she’ll make time to listen, no matter how much she has going on in her life at the time.
She has a default mode of curiosity mixed in with probably way too much optimism. She wants to know things about people. Mystery annoys her and negativity even more so, which is only natural because the notion of keeping things a secret is a foreign concept to her. She is open with just about anyone who wants to hear what she says. She’s known for being maybe just a tad too open as, like with ride-or-die, Lottie, she’s picked up on a certain brand of honesty unique to that crazy blonde BFF of hers.
With every ups that Joey possesses, whether it’s smiling so bright the room lights up in rainbow brilliance, or the natural good vibes she gives off, there is also a down -- a side effect of her excitable, nigh bubbly personality. This comes in a sort-of-kind-of-most-definitely wild side that not even spring breakers might be able to compete with. Whether this is a side effect of manic having its worst form or just some need to live up every possible moment, there is a certain madness to how negligent she is when surrounded by people who enable her. It doesn’t matter if the party is only with ten people or over a hundred, from dancing on tables to getting two random guys and/or girls to dance with her, Joey has all the potential in the world to literally lose her mind in the midst of a chaotic scene that matches the pulsating EDM beat that could very well be playing.
Joey lives for every moment, she lives to get the most out of her life. She might be a bit of a wild one, but that’s always been why people seem to gravitate towards her. For better or for worse, she is a free spirit and rules nor advice of friends can contain her. She flies how she wants to fly.
Upbringing Synopsis
You can’t say that Joey Hart has lived up to the immense expectations set upon her since her birth nearly twenty years ago. You can’t say that being a Hart -- especially the youngest of four children -- that the expectations to be great weren’t forced upon her before she could even learn of her family history. You cannot say that Joey Hart had a shot of being a normal girl, regardless what age she was at the point, because everyone was always tugging at her left and right, pulling her to go into law enforcement like her brothers and father did or to be a certified diva like her mother and an artist like her older sister. You can’t say that Joey ever had a chance to decide what she wanted.
And this was true. Joanna Penelope Hart, the youngest of four children, was born into a life full of expectations. These kinds of expectations were usually pushed on the oldest, but what could really be said about that? Joey was the baby of the family. Her former Queen of Pop-turned-businesswoman, Savanna Hart and father, former Marine turned eventual Deputy-Director of the FBI, and three older siblings — Tyson, Samara, and even her own (older) twin brother, Wyatt Junior — all of them proved to be better at her with handling all of the insanely-high expectations laid upon her.
So, what exactly were these assumptions she was expected to be held to? To be the best. To be like her siblings. To reach the level of perfection that her parents did when they were age. To have goals in her life, but she didn’t -- at least, not those that neither Savanna nor Wyatt seemed to approve of. Truth was, being baby of the family didn’t necessarily mean she was going to be given the most leeway; in fact, for Joanna, it was the complete opposite. She was given the least amount of freedom, which probably explained why she became such a problem child as she grew up.
At some point in her life, Joey made the subconscious decision to act a certain way. She’s always been the sort of girl to have problems with boundaries and authority but her parents always accepted that, especially after Savanna’s mother, Adielle, said that she acted the same way as Joey was starting to behave when she was her age. Savanna didn’t really think much of it until history repeated itself. Back when Adielle was about sixteen, she had a wild night with friends (although during that point, it wasn’t as controversial as it would be now). For Joey, her “wild night with friends” came around the time of her Sweet Sixteen. Being both privileged and from a famous family, MTV wanted to televise it as a special episode of their Sweet 16 series. But this was a big mistake that nobody saw coming.
During the filming, during the organization, and then during the actual party itself, Joey’s reliance on certain drugs and pills was starting to become apparent. During the party, during the chaotic nature of the dancing and the music, whilst on drugs, whilst being under the influence of both alcohol and the enablers she surrounded herself with, Joey let loose and it came to the point where it was more about just “partying”. She climbed onto the stage and for the unlucky guitarist of 5 Seconds of Summer, everyone bore witness to Joanna Hart doing her best attempt at using the drummer as a human stripper pole, causing a stir and the episode to stop airing live (as it had been).
Joey’s Sweet Sixteen caused quite a stir both in circles who praised the boldness of her self-expression and criticised her parents for letting their daughter get out of control. She was bashed on twitter, instagram, made into a meme on reddit and 4chan, and that was only the beginning. Soon, a full scandal erupted, causing stocks in HartCorp to drop and questions being brought to what sort of parents Savanna and Wyatt were. The media attention was a lot. Despite this, nothing that was being said could top what her parents said to her during that night.
A lot happened at home that night, things were said, and emotions rang high. A lot of it never left the Hart household but amidst everything, one thing was decided. At the beginning, this decision was impulsive in the way it was decided, but when her parents made the decision to send Joey off to a London Boarding school, it proved to be the best worst decision they made. Joey, of course, didn’t like it. In fact, she hated it at first. She was being stripped away from her life in New York. Her family was there and friends, too. But the more time passed and the more time she spent in London and away from the enablers of her vices, the more it became clear this was the best thing for her. Joey excelled at her classes as soon as she adjusted into the mindset and, though her admission into Meadow University wasn’t necessarily dependent on her grades, she still made it in with some high marks in addition to the Hart Dynasty money.
But being at Meadow U. proved to be a bit of a reverting process for her, which was to say old habits really did die hard and Joey had to -- and is still trying to -- relearn and reteach herself restraint.
“I wish someone would just give me the cheat sheet.”
