Where do bad rainbows go? To a prism. It's a light sentence, but it gives them time to reflect.

Yeah, you could say that Ross knew about the McCabe family.

Well, knowing as much as someone like Ross could, who came from a modest home that brought in modest money. His parents weren't well known like he knew the McCabe's were and they weren't involved in all of those charitable endeavors that Ross remembered hearing about a few years ago. But to hear that Sloane came from that family was shocking for Ross for a myriad of reasons. Ross had only known SLoane for a few days and that was through a handful of interactions about his Fraternity's booth placement. No more than that, so he had no way of knowing if all of this hype man bravado was him being genuine or just starstruck by being in Vallory's presence.

Eh, it doesn't matter. I won the deal and that's all I care about!

Though, he didn't appreciate the snide remark about his height. He almost retaliated back, possibly mentioning how stuck up his family appeared on tv, but again, he was trying not to be that person anymore. Ross had always suffered from throwing fits whenever something insignificant happened. It didn't matter if it was all in good, well-meaning spirits or not. To him, he always had difficulty with it and he'd shut down for hours, being moody and pouting until the part of his brain that demanded he iron his clothes every morning and night decided he had been dramatic long enough.

So as he ignored Sloane's comment and smiled at Vallory who had brought Sloane into the frame and Ross would his place next to the McCabe heir and smile at him, then at Vallory before he would turn his face to the camera. "Now get it fast. I can already feel my cotton boxers climbing up where they shouldn't," Ross admitted with a sizable amount of embarrassment showing on his face, though he tried to hide it as much as he could under a smile.

"I knew that was a good idea. It's good, right? Wopple. Women of Power League, I dunno, it's a bit stuffy. We're here to have fun, right?"

Ross couldn't say if he was as enthusiastic about the name as Vallory was. The truth of it was that he really didn't have an opinion about the name that leaned in favor or against it. The only thing he knew for certain was, regardless if you called it Wopple or it's official name that the founder of the organization came up with, the Women of Power League, it was bound to attract enough people to become interested in it and actually get them to join.

"I think both are fantastic!" Contrary to what he believed, Ross was, if nothing else, a practitioner of manners and he never liked to talk negatively about anyone or anything. "But Wopple does roll right off the tongue. And I noticed earlier how popular the name was with the kids," he laughed, smiling fondly as he thought of the bright, wide grins the kids had - especially the younger girls - when they left the Wopple stands. "Well, I'll be sure to let Trevor know I delivered these for you—"

As Vallory's gaze left Ross, it was hard not for him to follow suit. He turned his head around, dark locks casually whipping from end to the other as he saw what he can only describe as a table-hopping idiot make his way over to them, stopping and immediately offending not only Ross, but the Amazon that could take him down if he wasn't careful. It was bad enough he'd refer to Wopple as Waffle, which Vallory corrected and Ross smirked, but after he'd ask for a selfie, Ross narrowed his eyes down at the numskull when he got his name wrong.

Maybe it was under the stress of having his conversation interrupted and someone getting his name wrong. Like, Ross went by Ross because people kept pronouncing Hiroshi incorrectly. It was Hi-Row-Shi, not High-Row-Shy. Don't ask who would pronounce it like that, but that's what Ross has always went by Ross ever since he was seven.

But, as he took a few moments to not only calm down with deep, therapeutic breaths that his therapist always told him to do when he felt he was losing control of himself, he realized who it was that was asking for a selfie. "Sloane!" He said unprompted. "That's your name. You're here from the Fraternity." Not that it made his presence here any easier to swallow, but Ross just needed to say that out loud.

Ross would then turn to Vallory again. "I'm sorry. He's like you and has a booth here. I didn't realize he would be so...in your face."

Back to Sloane.

"We will take a selfie if you give Wopple and the center free advertising on your gram. That's a fair deal, right?" Ross smirked, feeling confident in the deal.

To clarify, I edited my post right after posting. Accidentally had Vallory call Ross by both Ross and Ryan because I kept going back and re-reading the Sloane post while writing my post so I could remember what happened. I am actually terrible with names in real life, this is low-key embarassing, lol. Apologies meta

Oh all good! Was amazing btw! Love that Val and Ross are gonna be on the same page about Sloane.
