Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

@DarkFey They’ve been the Galaxies boogeymen for almost three hundred years, and that kind of fear and suspicion doesn’t go away overnight. While the other species recognize and appreciate the help the Geth offered during the war, and there's no laws against them traversing Council space, they can’t help but still treat them like pariahs. They do not have an embassy, but neither have they applies for one. The Quarian’s have, and are awaiting confirmation over whether they will get it. Council law still technically forbids the creation of AIs. Supporters of the Geth decry this, and are fighting to get the law appealed, while the opposition say that in the face of the Reaper invasion, and the destruction that those particular AI caused, that this law is just prudence. It's a hot button topic at the moment, and one we will eventually be dealing with in the RP.
@Arcarius Could you please PM me why he his looking for vengeance? That way you can keep it a secret from the rest of the playbase, and keep the mystery in check.

@Rithy Possibly Sunday. I technically haven't even started my character yet - had one rolled up to begin with but she was another Asari Vanguard, and I didn't think it was right asking the players to abandon the concept without getting rid of my own - and D and I still need to accept a full complement of players. Then write an opening IC post, of course.

Basically what I'm saying is don't hold your breath waiting for us to start this weekend.

@DarkFey - This is part of our write up on Quarian's on the first page. Envirosuits are still very much required at the moment, though they wont be soon. Personally I like the thought of the Quarian's adopting them as cultural garb though, even when they no longer need them.

With Quarian know-how and Geth assistance, development was efficient and careful; and the first colonies are being erected on Rannoch. Though their immune systems are still incredibly weak, Geth reprogramming of environmental suits has helped immeasurably and many predict that the next generation of Quarians will be able to travel the galaxy unmasked.
@BurningCold If you don't mind I'm gonna leave that one up to @MrDidact. He's got a better handle of the tech levels and capabilities of the ME universe than I do.

@POOHEAD189 Ehh, if you want a moderately powerful shockwave you can have it. I can see him using the hammer to direct it.
@PrivateVentures It's coming along, but there's still balancing issues and some gaps in the backstory. He still seems to good at everything, even with the restrictions you've put in place. His motives are more fleshed out but still too powerful. Omni-tool expertise? Biotic mastery? Armor more advanced than anything we've ever seen? Killer unique powers? And he's also an information broker with a high IQ? I still think he needs to axe some things, and I think his armor needs to be nerfed.
  • Neither I nor MrD are to keen on the idea of nanotechnology armour. It seems unprecedented in the Mass Effect universe, at least on the scale required for it to resemble a black vapor when shape-shifting, and to allow regenerative capabilities. We'd feel more confident in the character if you nixed the nanite concept completely.
  • After the explosion of his father's cargo, how did Ellis and his brother escape? You then seem to jump to his brother suddenly becoming C-sec and Ellis himself being lonely. I feel that we're missing vital elements of story here. How did his brother, somebody who was on the fast track to becoming an arms merchant, get into C-sec. I also don't think L5 implants were available to civilians, and even with them I think he would still need years of training to properly use them. MrD would know better here, but I know there is Academies and schools set up to help Biotics develop their abilities, so I don't think it's that easy to develop Subject Zero level powers. I also think your asking a lot of him in the time you've stated to become an information broker, fend of assassination attempts, develop inhuman biotic abilities, and work towards a Oxford degree in psychology.
  • How tough is this suit? Krogan tough?
  • Why would he die without his suit? He didn't seem to need it before, why does he need it now?
  • Who was the call-up addressed to originally? Is the prominent Krogan Ellis' alias, or did they intercept the message and Ellis decided to accept an invitation never meant for him? Because the final say-so of who ends up on this taskforce ultimately resides with the Spectres.
  • So is he still xenophobic? If not, why not? Yes, Cerberus has let him down, but if he truly hated aliens so much to visit such vile destruction on them in the first place, why would the fact that Cerberus weren't quite who he thought they were change his mind on Aliens?
  • He detests tech and engineers, but relies on a technological advanced suit maintained by engineers and biotic implant? That's an interesting dichtomy. Not really a gripe on my part, just noting storytelling potential.

I would still prefer him to be more specialized. Mr Didact suggested that perhaps he should be a former member of the Phoenix project, those were Cerberus operatives with powerful biotics. Or maybe his armor is a big hulking Terminus suit that gives him mobility with cybernetic limbs.
@POOHEAD189 Multiple Krogan is my idea of a good time. What would the Biotic ability be?

@Rithy Ok, well if @MrDidact has nothing to add here I'm happy with your sheet as it stands.
Soldier has always been my class of choice for Shepard.
