She peels the skin off of the orange, he legs crossed as she flicks the peel onto a plate. People moved around her, tapping her on the shoulder, trying to talk to her, but she ignored all of them. Each of them walked away hurt or angry that they had been ignored. There was something satisfying about it to her, ignoring people of power. Those not expected to be ignored. It gave her a sense of power she didn't usually feel.

Her dark eyes scan the room as she slowly chews on a slice of orange. The taste was bitter in her mouth as she locks eyes with someone. Her eyes narrow. Why is he here?
