Bio

Hello! :)

I'm Aleksandra, and I'm a third-year university student. I've been roleplaying on and off for the past six years. I enjoy anything fantasy, mystery and slice-of-life. I tend to stick to group roleplays unless I know a person well (some bad experiences soured 1x1 for me). Happy to do romance, so long as the other user is 18+. As for gore, I'm fine with it.

I might be busy due to writing and programming my dissertation project, but I will try to be active in the evenings and weekends. I'm trying to get back into roleplaying after a three-year absence, and as such, I'm trying to stick to one or two RPs at a time so as to not overwhelm myself again.

English is not my first language, but I have lived in England for eleven years and seem to get by fine, so take that as you will

My character sheets, roleplay plots and unfinished ideas: Warning, most of this is admittedly cringe. Working on fixing that

Current RPs:
-> None at the moment

Current Interest Checks:
-> Pirates of Lreya

Head Guard Val

@Blade17

Val forced himself to chuckle dryly, although he feared that it wasn't convincing enough. The man certainly seemed to be hiding something and he was running out of bluffs. Eventually, he would have to resort to raw power in order to get more out of him- if he took out his sword now it would be to suspicious and the spymaster was delegated to investigate the docks. With his hands still behind his back, Val signed to the surrounding soldiers to follow but not engage. Looking at the younger man, he plastered a stressed expression on his face

''Let me walk you back at least. I beg you! I can't stand miss Jane and her constant whining- I need to stay away from her as much as possible''

Desperate times call for desperate measures. His soldiers will never let him live this down but as long as the case was solved, he would bear the future teasing of his comrades.

''You must mean miss Jane.'' Val responded joyfully, ''She tends to exaggerate things- we only pretend to investigate to humour her''. It wasn't exactly a lie but in order to get the man's trust, Val felt like he had to present himself as easy-going and not too concerned about the issue. Thankfully his childhood lessons on demeanour and presence prepared him for occasions like these. Placing his hands behind his back, he asked with a slightly teasing tone: ''Since you came for a drink, why don't you join me and my buddies at the barracks? Some of the squires decided to return to their bed chambers early and we have too much liquor to consume by ourselves. It's the fine stuff and the ladies of the court promised to join us''
Marcus

With some difficulty, Marcus managed to overhear snippets of the conversation the guards were having. There was too much noise around for him to focus completely but apparently they were looking for an unknown man. Still, it not enough information to assume it was about the crew.

Ignoring the sting in his arms- in his early training on the ship he sacrificed his strength to perfect his agility- he edged even closer to the guards. Hopefully, he would be able to get more information that way.

Anya nodded her head, looking over the goods: '' I suspected as much. Blake is looking for him as we speak.''. Although something fishy seemed to be going on, it didn't seem dire considering that Marcus didn't return with Hope. If he did, they would've already started to depart. Still, the fact that 3 people seemed suspicious of the happenings worried her. The jars seemed to consist mostly of food, but she didn't make a move to open the wrapped packages to find out what they contained. Forcing a smile onto her face, she inquired: '' I'm guessing most of these are going to the galley, right?''

Head Guard Val

@Blade17
The head guard split the force into three parties- one that was meant to stay in the square( in which he remained), one that went to investigate the docks and the final one that went to investigate the border. Although small, the groups consisted of the guards Val trusted best and he was sure the strange man was caught in no time. Usually, when Jane complained to him about someone ( which happened more often than one would suspect), he took his time looking into it as it didn't seem as important as training the squires but considering multiple people saw what occurred and confirmed that they didn't recognise him, it seemed direr.

Scanning the area, he couldn't help but noticed the man Jane spoke to earlier. He was still alone despite claiming to be looking for someone. Val signalled his team to surround the man without bringing attention to themselves. Carefully approaching him, he spoke with fake sweetness in his voice: '' I see you have returned. Do you perhaps need any help looking for your friend? You certainly look stressed. ''
Quinn

''Well hopefully, now that you're away from home and have fewer obligations, you find a balance between responsibility and your hobbies''said Quinn cheerfully while stirring the remains of her coffee. Although she noticed the shift in the tone of the conversation, she decided not to enquire. It wasn't uncommon for parents to put high expectations on their children, especially if they were to inherit something- such was the way of life.

The girl thought for a moment about Tyler's description of the academy. Sure, everyone was less monitored, but the rules were strict and the workload was apparently very difficult and large in number, leaving little time for the students to enjoy themselves. Still, she could sort-of see what he meant. No one but them was in charge of their actions and any consequences those actions resulted in, whether good or bad, were their fault. Even though she was only expected to be a backup for her brother, her schooling barely varied from his and just like him, she had to uphold the positive reputation of the business. After being raised in strict conditions, such a place certainly seemed refreshing and utopian. Since the academy swore absolute privacy and protection from any outside media, there was no need to act 'perfectly' while within its walls. Chuckling softly, she responded'' I suppose you're right. It's nice to relax in a place like this.''

Contrary to her first impression of Tyler, Quinn found herself enjoying his company. After a moment of comfortable silence, she asked: '' What have you chosen for Monday's lessons? I have drama and politics.''

Stirring her coffee while she waited for Tyler to return, Quinn found herself lost in thought. While the boy was polite, his behaviour reminded her of the men on her father's board of directors. Still, this was to be expected- many students were entrepreneurs or heirs to their family's businesses. It was only a matter of time before she met one. At least, she was used to that sort of company due to the countless business meetings and galas her father took her and her brother to. Nonetheless, she immediately felt bad about assuming things about Tyler- she didn't know him at all and yet she was already stereotyping him. Barely paying attention to the leaving student, she hastily finished off her croissant.

She smiled at Tyler when he returned. Lifting the coffee up to her mouth, she contemplated the response to his question. Sure, the 'obvious appeal' was a helpful factor when making the decision but not the main reason she came to Pine Hills. Slowly putting her cup back down, she answered, with some hesitation:'' I guess you could say I'm trying to fulfil my dreams and responsibilities. Not many schools tend to offer this much flexibility with the courses you can pick and mix.''. Her father wanted her to go to a business school so she would be able to help her brother with running the business, but her mother encouraged her to follow her passion for acting. Her friends were divided by their opinions, some wanting her to do what she wanted to and the others urging her to be more responsible. Pine Hills seemed like a perfect compromise- she could study arts along with the subjects that her father recommended.

'' What about you? I doubt you came here as an excuse to ignore whoever's contacting you.'' Quinn asked jokingly, remembering his annoyance with his phone from earlier.

Quinn waved at the passing student, taking a small bite of her croissant. She didn't recognise him either but she had no doubt that he was from her year group- most of the people in the cafe seemed to be at least. Observing him from the corner of her eye, she noted his annoyance with his phone. Probably someone was checking up on him, nothing out of the ordinary. Her eyes didn't stray from him, even as he approached her. Shaking his hand firmly, she responded cheerfully:

''Pleasure to meet you Tyler. Quinn McNamara- at your service.''. Pointing at the chair on the other side of the table, Quinn continued '' Take a seat if you want.''. She smiled as she took a sip of her coffee. It would be nice to have some company, especially in an academy filled with other rich people. If the cafe was packed then no one would pay attention to someone who sat alone, but if it was pretty much empty,like now, then everyone would pity her. Not that she cared too much- she had her enough connections (in her personal opinion, her mother would certainly disagree) and didn't need judgemental people in her life. Still, she didn't want to be all by herself either.
Marcus

Marcus watched as Hope departed before turning his attention back to the guards. Considering they were on high-alert that meant that at least some of the crew members managed to getaway. None of them was visible amongst the remaining party-goers, so hopefully, they made their way back onto the ship. Still, it was too dangerous to lose a single member. Marcus hid his arms underneath his cloak in an attempt to hide the goods. If he crouched and swayed, he could pass for a drunken man.

Slightly ashamed of his disguise- the opposite of grace and elegance the man adored- he stumbled toward the guards to try to listen in to their conversation.

Anya

@Squirrel98

Anya made her way back onto the upper deck as soon as the fabrics were put into their place. The sails were up and the ship's anchor was the only thing stopping the ship from floating away. Glancing at Jack, she noticed the state of his scarf- it clearly needed washing. Frowning, she decided to convince one of the less busy crew members to do laundry earlier than planned. Once they left the kingdom, it should be safe enough to get on with their less-exciting and less anxiety inducing chores. Marcus's absence was worrisome. They couldn't leave without a direct order and she couldn't help but wonder if the captain was in trouble- if there was something amiss, he should've been back by now, ordering the crew to sail away.

Noticing that Hope has returned, she approached to welcome her back:

''Greetings Hope. I hope you enjoyed the break. That's a lot of things- would you like any help organising them?''
Quinn

By the time Quinn arrived at her destination, the area was buzzing with students. The girl regretted not bringing her phone- she would've loved to capture the busy street and share it with her fans. Next time, she certainly won't forget it. On her way to the centre, she saw an unfamiliar boy smile at her. He seemed around her age- maybe she just didn't notice him at the orientation? Quinn was too busy trying to see the campus and to keep her social media updated that she didn't even think to look at the other students. Despite her momentary confusion, she confidently smiled back. There was no need to be unfriendly- they could end up being classmates after all.

Even though the crowd excited her, that meant that most of the stores where packed. Pushing her way through the sea of students, Quinn ended up at a mostly empty cafe. She couldn't help but notice the boy from earlier sitting at one of the tables, studying one of the textbooks. Slightly taken aback, she frowned. It was the first day and he was already studying? Sometimes she didn't get people. The only other person there was a girl who looked like she was drawing something. Not wanting to disturb either, she entered the cafe.

Once inside, the blonde was instantly hit with the smell of baked goods and freshly brewed coffee. Her father didn't have time to stop at a coffee shop on the way to the academy, so she didn't hesitate to buy something to sate her hunger. Quinn purchased a latte and a chocolate-covered croissant, looking at the sepia photos adorning the walls while her coffee was made. Taking a sip of her latte, she headed outside and sat at an empty table, deciding to observe the crowd in an attempt to find some familiar faces- who knows, maybe one of her friends lied about failing the entrance exams and actually got accepted.
Quinn

Quinn walked confidently through the academy's gates, excited to explore the campus. When she first saw the map of the academy, the number of facilities and shops on campus astounded her- the campus was like a small city in itself. Looking intently at the copy of the said map on her phone, she walked on the stone pathway to her dormitory.

Once she arrived in her room, Quinn couldn't help but be disappointed. It was way smaller than her room at home and it simply looked... plain. Immediately, she began unpacking in the hope of giving some personality to the bare room. Despite her best efforts the girl still thought that the room looked basic when she looked over her work. None of the posters and pictures she stuck up on the walls seemed to help either.

Deciding to try to improve her dorm room another day, Quinn shrug off the denim jacket off her shoulders and threw it onto the bed. The day was still young and she wanted to see more of the campus. Leaving her phone on her desk, she locked her door and headed outside towards the centre of the campus- which seemed to have most of the shops and services.
