Bio

Hello! :)

I'm Aleksandra, and I'm a third-year university student. I've been roleplaying on and off for the past six years. I enjoy anything fantasy, mystery and slice-of-life. I tend to stick to group roleplays unless I know a person well (some bad experiences soured 1x1 for me). Happy to do romance, so long as the other user is 18+. As for gore, I'm fine with it.

I might be busy due to writing and programming my dissertation project, but I will try to be active in the evenings and weekends. I'm trying to get back into roleplaying after a three-year absence, and as such, I'm trying to stick to one or two RPs at a time so as to not overwhelm myself again.

English is not my first language, but I have lived in England for eleven years and seem to get by fine, so take that as you will

My character sheets, roleplay plots and unfinished ideas: Warning, most of this is admittedly cringe. Working on fixing that

Current RPs:
-> None at the moment

Current Interest Checks:
-> Pirates of Lreya

Saving Erik's phone number onto her phone, Quinn smiled at the suggestion: '' The more the merrier!''. Quickly airdropping her number to others, she packed away her English textbook into her bag and shook off any grass that stuck to her trousers. They got slightly creased but apart from that not too much damage was done, at least nothing that couldn't be washed away with some water. Adjusting her bag's shoulder strap, she hummed quietly. Going to the library would at least help them figure out where everything was and when the opening times were. She couldn't deny that she itched to find out if the library had any play scripts or at least any movies that students could rent out. It's not like the school was against them having fun or indulging in their interests. '' I would be happy to go now.''

Giggling at Tyler's quick departure, Quinn waited for Alana's response. While the majority seemed to want to leave, it would be unfair not to hear out everyone's opinion on the matter. Holding out her hand towards the girl, in case she wanted to go, she asked:'' What do you think?''
Marcus

@Squirrel98@Blade17@Utrax

If the prince's behaviour was anything to go by, getting to the castle would be the least of the crew's worries. With his past encounters with wealthy families, Marcus could safely say that the apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree. The carriage didn't seem sturdy enough to hold everyone safely and Marcus wouldn't even bother to comment on the appearance of it. The golem clearly enjoyed trying to humiliate them but at least it was better than travelling in the cage as prisoners- even though Marcus felt like one currently. Taking a moment to consider his options he turned to the crew with a sigh: '' Anyone who feels too tired to walk, get into the carriage. Everyone else can walk with me''. Based on the fact that the prince's parents summoned them, they wouldn't be left behind if they walked, even if they were slow on purpose. Since Tol was so determined to humiliate them, Marcus could at least become a thorn in his side, a small one of course, but a thorn nonetheless.

Jane

@Utrax

'' Of course your majesty'' replied Jane before bowing in front of the queen and excusing herself. As she walked through the corridors, she realised how empty they all were. Every servant seemed to be doing something in the throne room, meaning that if she were to take one of the decorative vases on the windowsills no one would notice. On the other hand, it would delay her from getting to the princess and if she decided to attend the meeting, then she would likely be late. Trying to ignore the familiar itch in her hands, she picked up her pace and soon found herself in front of the princess' sleeping chamber.

Knocking gently on the door, she entered and quickly surveyed the room. The lady was still asleep and although the sun began to rise, the grandfather clock in the corner informed her that the lessons were still a couple of hours away. Jane walked up to the bed and delicately nudged the princess awake and explained the situation as briefly as she could. The princess burrowed further underneath her covers, stating that she would get someone to debrief her later. With nothing else to do, Jane began to get the princess' room in order before she woke properly, not without snatching a rarely worn brooch and hiding it in her apron.

@EurmalEye I had forgotten to add it. Sorry about that. Once I have time I'll edit the map to include it.

The library is somewhere in between the Newton dorm and the cafeteria.

@EurmalEye@akirashadow@snickerdoodly

''I suppose that's correct. It does work on those who don't know what you're talking about, or those that think that you're more knowledgeable than them so it's still useful in some cases'' responded Quinn after a moment of consideration. She never had to bother too much with academics, so she mostly ended up using that technique in social settings that didn't require too much technical knowledge. Although, she was glad that Tyler would be able to figure out something for the next time. In her opinion, any solution was better than none.

Quinn was confused, not able to understand any part of what Erik said in whatever language he used, but was quick to pick up on the context, based on Alana's and Tyler's responses. It would be nice to work in a group and exchange ideas on how to do certain tasks. Besides some of the subjects, the school offered clearly would require group work in the long run so it would be a good idea to make connections with people who could assist in those tasks. Smiling at Erik, she answered: ''Sounds great! Maybe we should exchange numbers so we can all contact each other?'', pausing for a brief second, she thought about which location would be better to study in. Both seemed good in theory to her. Glancing at Alana, she said: ''I'm fine with either. I wonder though if the school has a library anywhere. It would be useful for sure''

Marcus

@Squirrel98@Blade17@Utrax

Marcus was disappointed at the lack of reaction from the prince. He found his rage entertaining and certainly preferred it over the current serious, snobby attitude. Looking around, he was unable to find anything that the crew could use to travel. Feeling the worst, he asked in an exasperated tone: '' You expect us to walk to the castle on foot? From my basic understanding of the land, our destination is a long way off''. Not only did the prince dare to look down upon them without bothering to even find out who they were but he expected the crew, who didn't have a chance to rest ever since they arrived, to walk miles while he trotted comfortably on a horse. Marcus found that distasteful. Out of all the royals he had encountered in his life, Tol seemed to be the worst.

Anya

@Blade17@Squirrel98

''Oh I don't know Blake, let me ask my aristocratic friends that I'm so fond of'' answered Anya sarcastically in a hushed tone, before turning to glare at the golem sat upon the horse. The insolence was astounding. She didn't spend so much time embellishing her clothes to be called a mere commoner. If it weren't for Marcus' orders she wouldn't hesitate to start a fight but since he was present, she felt less inclined to disobey in any way. Instead, she faced Hope and Jack, slightly agitated yet curious to get a clearer idea of what happened to get the crew discovered: ''Do you recognise any of those people?''

Jane

@Utrax

While down in the kitchen's, Jane got somehow wrapped up in helping the other servents prepare the throne room for something that she couldn't figure out. The princess was still deep in her slumber and didn't need Jane's services, so technically the maid had no other duties to attend to until she awoke but whatever the Queen required couldn't be possibly ignored. The large number of servants wandering around with various chests and objects prevented her from stealing anything, which on one hand relived her as she didn't want to steal another object such a short time after stealing the pearls and on the other hand, annoyed her as the unfamiliar objects fascinated her.

After placing one of the larger chests down, she resolved to find out more about what was happening. Once one of the maids left to prepare the refreshment she made her move. Bowing in front of the queen, Jane enquired meekly: ''Your Majesty, should I get the princess ready for the arrival of the guests or is this to be a private matter?''

Marcus

@Squirrel98@Blade17@Utrax

Surprisingly there were not too many questions. Nodding at Hope's optimistic reassurance, he ordered all the crew members that would remain on the ship to return to their normal activities and to stay on board unless there was an emergency. Beckoning the small group of those that would accompany him, he led the way back onto the docks. Although he tried to hide it, Marcus was slightly nervous. Despite being armed, the was the risk of the royals being able to overpower them. The fact that the guard didn't seem bothered by his request emphasised that. It wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that amongst the aristocrats there were mages or alchemists- something that they wouldn't be likely to defeat with force alone. Nonetheless, he had to act like he had everything under control- someone had to figure their way out of this mess.

As soon as his feet touched the solid ground, he called out, slightly humorously in an attempt to calm his nerves: '' Oh kind sire! We're ready to depart. Where art thou?'' Not waiting for a response, he continued, '' Your highness! I hope that you found your horse. The thought of you not succeeding haunted my thoughts the whole time I was away!''

Anya

@Blade17

Anya looked at the map, before shrugging her shoulders helplessly: '' You know the rules, Blake. All maps go to Marcus because he's the captain. Just leave it here and I'll make sure it gets to him''. It was him who was in charge of choosing the routes- she was there to give advice and make sure they got there in one piece. Certainly, it was a sweet gesture but either way, she preferred more... natural methods of navigation. The captain's rules for once worked in her favour, allowing her to reject the present more gently then she would've otherwise.

Adjusting her coat, she eagerly followed Marcus hoping that nothing bad would happen in the coming hours.
Anya

@Blade17

Anya chuckled dryly: '' I doubt you have any choice in the matter, dear. I'm quite sure the captain saw us leave the ship- we did run off before him''. Looking through her pockets, she scanned her current possessions to see what she should leave behind. Gently she took out her astrolabe and placed it on the wooden table the cabin boys must've set up while they were gone. She couldn't risk breaking it, especially since it was so old. Putting her brass knuckles on, she decided to entertain herself by attempting to get some more information out of Marcus, despite knowing that her attempts would most likely be in vain.
Quinn

@EurmalEye@akirashadow@snickerdoodly

Quinn was sure she would end up asking for help anyhow this year so she was more than satisfied with the deal. She chuckled: '' That certainly sounds acceptable. Beware, you might end up doing something strange if the drama classes became less theory-based.''.

As soon as she saw that Tyler had his notes out, she began to listen attentively and although she wasn't great at languages, his nervousness seemed to suggest that whatever he was saying wasn't supposed to sound that way. Luckily she managed to stop herself from cringing- it was probably better than what she would've been able to do. Trying to relive Tyler's nervousness with humour, she responded: '' If you say that you're five in the actual homework you can always say that you were trying to play the role of a child. You might get some points for creativity.''. Sure her joke wasn't too great but it was the first thing that came to mind. Taking a moment to take the situation in, she continued, more seriously this time: '' I have to agree- confidence seems to be a problem. You are anxious and struggling because it's a language you seemingly never learned. Do you know what you should do in my opinion? Pretend you're a native french speaker- act like you know what you're saying. '' That usually worked for her- not that she was sure that it would work for Tyler. It wasn't always easy to pretend to be someone you're not and she did struggle with it when she was younger and starting to put herself out there in the acting and social media scenes. Nonetheless, she hoped it would help the boy at least a little bit.
Marcus

@Squirrel98@Blade17

Marcus tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the crew to gather. He held his hand up in an attempt to silence anyone who was talking, before he began speaking, in a slightly irritated tone: '' Now, I'm not going to question why you were in my private quarters. I'm the one who didn't lock them so there's no reason to punish you for my lack of foresight''. He paused for a second to glance inside the room to see if anything was moved or taken. Relived that everything seemed to be in place, he continued: ''Anyone who left the ship at any point ever since we arrived will accompany me to the castle. There's an issue we need to sort out and I wouldn't mind some back-up. Bring your weapons''. Done with the initial explanation, he considered ending the instructions there but knowing the crew members, the captain ultimately decided to add: '' We will be travelling with the royal guards and the prince. Don't do anything that would get us hanged, don't attack unless I say so. You have five minutes to get ready''.

Feeling like he said all that needed to be said, Marcus dropped off his bag near the ship's wheel. At least he could relax his arms during the time the crew members prepared to leave. Leaning against the edge of the ship, he awaited the unavoidable questions which he would do his best to deflect until he figured out what was going on.
Quinn

@EurmalEye@akirashadow@snickerdoodly

She smiled at Alana when the girl introduced herself, pleased to make her acquaintance before turning to Tyler. Feeling slightly sorry for the way he had to sit, she offered him an apologetic smile. Quinn didn't care too much for clothes, so despite wearing one of her better trousers she didn't make an effort to prevent them from getting dirty. Sure her father would complain if he found out but he wasn't here so she was going to take the full advantage of this small freedom. Encouragingly she responded:'' Happens to the best of us. Besides, with the strict uniform rules, I don't think it's possible to be not overdressed.''

Quinn thought about Tyler's request, before deciding to agree. It couldn't be more boring than the English assignment after all. On top of that, her lack of competence in the area of languages (much to her mother's dismay) could make anyone look good. Putting her highlighter back into her pencil case, she responded joyfully with a shrug of her shoulders:'' Sure, but you owe me''
