- Added a passage about Kate McGrath detailing why she works as a babysit.
- Sorry about the blood status confusion. I wrote on the CS on several points and often lose my track of thoughts in between writing sessions.
- Added a clarification that Kate never told her about the wizard world. I mean, centaurs and dragons are things of fantasy as well as the magical world so it's hard to avoid those. However, she did her best not to reveal that it could all be true. Sorry for the confusion there.

N A M E:Eleanora Aurelia Foxley
N I C K N A M E:Ellie
Her brother was the one to give her this nickname when they were younger, simply because he found "Eleanora" far too long to say several times in a day. It stuck, and now she introduces herself as "Ellie" to almost everyone she meets.
G E N D E R:Female
A G E:17
B L O O D S T A T U S:Half-bloodPRESENCEEllie carries herself with the ease of a person who seems to have no fear of what lies ahead of her. She keeps her head up looking forward and never at her feet, looking determined and ready for battle. But she isn’t looking for a fight or a battle. Honestly? She just wants to get to class.
There’s no doubt that she is a pretty girl, but there’s a bit more to it than that. Her air of confidence isn’t overbearing, doesn’t give off the impression that she thinks she is better than you, just that she’s comfortable with herself. Her smile is wondrous and her laugh is so bubbly and contagious it is like a breath of fresh air. There is an open quality to her that invites others to come talk to her or hang out with her, something Ellie doesn’t quite mind. With her head slightly tilted and a small frown in between her eyebrows, she can often be seen listening to someone or something, giving the subject of her interest her full attention. Or you might find her walking around with a book in her head, off on an adventure to find a place secluded enough that she can get lost in a story other than her own for a bit.
A big fan of dark colors, her wardrobe consists of many blacks, grays, and blues. Baggy sweaters usually cover her petite body in the colder months; loose-fitting tees and tanks are her go to in the warmer seasons. She doesn’t pay much mind to her appearance but does care about looking presentable. Most of the time if she’s not in her school uniform, she’s very casual yet looks stylish (it’s all about the layers.) She likes jewelry that’s not too flashy and is always wearing silver studs in her ears, a few thin rings, and a necklace with a little moon charm hanging from the chain. She almost never wears makeup, mostly because she hates the tedious effort it takes to do it every morning. But she also doesn’t even really need it. Some days during the week she might take the time to put on some mascara or eyeliner but that’s about as far as it goes. Her wide, deep blue eyes are almost as enchanting as her magic, drawing those in who might want to dive in and get lost in them. She has a small face contains hardly any flaws with the exception of a faded little scar below her left eye. She keeps her thick, wavy, dark hair short at a blunt cut above her shoulders, usually keeping it down or pinned back to the sides with bobby pins. She’s nice to look at, easy to stare at for some.ACADEMICS

P E R S O N A L I T Y:If there is one word to describe Ellie, it would be curious. The girl wants to stick her nose in everything that piques her interest, but most importantly, she wants to understand. Ellie genuinely would like to get to the bottom of things and wants to know why things are the way they are. By no means is she a know-it-all, although she may come off as one at times, but is the girl who seeks out an answer, always questioning things. Maybe it is because of this reason that she is known as a great listener to almost everyone she meets or befriends. Her openness to perspectives other than her own give people the feeling that they can open up to her without a fear of being judged. Ellie has no hidden agenda, when she asks a question or is out to know something, she isn’t looking to size you up or make assumptions. Her only goal is to understand and gain a new perspective.
Such traits like these make it hard for some to see why she was placed in a house like Bishop as opposed to the wise and knowledgeable Warren. After all, Ellie is one of the top students of her class, always presenting great effort and boasting high scores. And Ellie isn’t afraid to admit that she is intelligent, but also has no fear of being wrong. She would rather learn than look smart. But she isn’t just a nosy sixth-year, she’s notorious for being outspoken about her opinions and beliefs. She sticks up for what thinks is right and is unafraid of the consequences that may come from this action. She doesn’t care about the punishment when it comes to things that she cares about, she has quite the stubborn streak, as a matter of fact. When Ellie is passionate about something, she’ll never back down-even if it kills her. Maybe this makes her seem insufferable at times, stubborn to some, but there’s no doubt that she truly cares.
Ellie is open and brave but remains guarded to those she does not trust. However, she is for the most part very willing to be friends with almost anyone. She loves very deeply and is incredibly loyal to those closest to her. She would fight to the death for any one of her friends or family. She is definitely someone who values having an open mind, and admires those unafraid to be themselves as she always strives to be just that. Of that’s not easy, even for her. She’s only 17, and her insecurities still get the best of her during the times when she doesn’t feel like she’s moving forward in life. Ellie doesn’t want to be just another cog in some great machinery, she wants to be someone great. She wants to matter, make a difference somehow. And someday, maybe she will.
R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S:There have certainly been many boys in Ellie’s life that have tried to pursue her and though she has tried to date in the past, she has found that it’s hard for her to open up to others like they do for her. It’s funny, actually, the fact that a girl who’s so open to everything might be afraid of falling in love. The aspect of taking a leap and giving herself to someone that might reject her eventually is terrifying to Ellie-but doesn’t that scare everyone?
She’s had strong feelings for a few boys in the past but hasn’t ever let it go far enough that she should ever be considered a girlfriend. Maybe she just feels like she is too much for one person to handle, but romance has never seemed like her “thing.” Like any other young person, Ellie sometimes dreams about having a wild romance that will last forever. Maybe someday, right?

B A C K G R O U N D:Ellie’s parents met as students at Salem Witches’ Institute but were never a couple during their school years. Her mother, Sabrina, is a muggle born witch but father, Theodore, is a half-blood who was raised in the magical world. Ellie’s father likes to tell them that he was madly in love with her from their second year on, but her mother scoffs at the idea that he was more interested in her than all the pretty Warren girls he seemed to take a liking to. They actually started a relationship after both had graduated and gone on to become Aurors for the Republic of Magic. Marriage followed not too long after a couple years together. The first child was Ellie’s older brother, Griffin, followed by her second older brother, Arthur. Two years later Eleanora came into the world. The last and youngest; the baby of the family.
Ellie and her brothers grew up relatively happy, though they often missed their parents terribly. Theodore and Sabrina were aurors, a job that required a good amount of travel and though they tried to have at least one of them be home while the other was gone, it was not easy. If this was impossible, the kids were brought to their Uncle Gerald’s house in Maine. He lived in a heavily forested area, close enough to the ocean that one could hike there in a few hours. All three children bonded greatly with their wizard uncle, but neither of her brothers grew as close to him as Ellie did. Her Uncle Gerald’s passion for adventure and learning might have been the reason he became a magizoologist in the first place, and he studied the area he lived in often to find magical life and creatures. He would take Ellie with him some days to explore the area surrounding his little house when she didn’t feel like riding around on a broom stick with her brothers. She took away more knowledge with her every time they stayed at his house while her parents away, and she was always looking forward to going back after each visit.
Unfortunately for Ellie, when she was ten, her uncle decided to move down to South America to study magical creatures there, especially the legendary Yacumama believed to live in the Amazon river. And so, the visits to Uncle Gerald’s had to come to an end. But this wasn’t such a bad thing. Both of Ellie’s brothers had already started attending Salem Witches’ Institute, and when she was old enough, Ellie also received her letter from the school.

B L O O D S T A T U SHalf-bloodStanding at 5 foot six inches, April is one of those rare people that seem to have been sat down on the genetic fence in terms of appearance. Her appearance is wholeheartedly determined by what she wants it to be. If she wants to look hot, she'll have you begging on both knees but alternatively, if she couldn't be bothered with how others think about her --which is most of the time-- she'll just be your average girl.
Half of her beauty comes from the mystery to her that seems ever-prevalent and casually hinted at in every feature of hers. Her stormy grey eyes seem to hide a quiet knowledge and her rosy lips silently quiver with the secrets of the world. Piss her off though and you'll be in for a treat!
When she's not in uniform, April prefers baggy clothing, choosing to wear long wooly jumpers which is one of the main reasons to why she loves winter so much - she has an excuse to layer up. Very rarely will you find her in anything revealing, a choice that probably stemmed from the rather strict controls placed on her as a child. Another reason for it could be the rather impressive tattoo on her right shoulder which April doesn't seem to be a fan of.

F A M I L I A RAres is, despite his rather impressive name, one of the most cowardly cats in existence. It doesn't take much for him to turn tail and make for the nearest hiding spot. Despite his cowardly attitude, he seems incessantly curious and never really dropped out of the kitten phase which is probably why April likes him so much.
P E R S O N A L I T YUpon meeting April for the first time, one would not be harsh in thinking that she was nothing short of a dickhead. She is, after all. She's sarcastic, competitive and she has enough dim-witted pride not to let anything slide past her. The main thing that creates a lot of friction between her and others, however, is the constant air of superiority that seems to waft from her being - she gets excellent grades without much work being put into it which generally leads to others becoming frustrated and a tad bit pissed off at her. She could almost be described as being unapproachable, entirely detached from those around her in such a way that she seems to float from class to class without much interaction unless someone decides to step on her toes. Starting conversations with her seems almost void as she will either give you a short answer or a sarcastic one, both of which aren't the type of stuff that lay steady foundations upon which a friendship can be built. There are a few exceptions, of course.
God loves a trier and April appreciates them as well. If she sees that you genuinely are putting some effort into talking to her, she'll more than likely make mostly pleasant conversation. She'll occassionally slip up with the whole pleasant part and she will keep you at arm's length but you can see that there is some sort of appreciation there for your presence. The other exceptions are people she hates with a deep passion. You really haven't seen a bitch until you've seen April lay into someone she hates. This hatred can have a number of causes ranging from someone who looked at her funny to someone who thinks they're better than her. And finally, those who she gets a little hot and bothered about. She's only human and it's only fair that she gets to oogle a little bit of eye candy when she has the chance. Typically, these people have the very profound power of making her drop her agressive behaviour in favour of a more reserved one.
It's been proposed that she barely even has a working conscience but anyone with sharp enough eyes can see that that is really not the case - she is terribly afraid of something; something that can seemingly paralyse her in a moment's notice. In truth, April is irrevocably different from her fellow witches and wizards and in their world, that difference is enough to brand you as an enemy or someone who is not to be trusted. There's a beast inside April and it drags its claws through her soul, it tears away at her being until she's left feeling rotten and incomplete. It's the reason why she stays away from others. And it only has one master - the moon.
R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S:Given that the few males April was exposed to as a child were cousins which were quickly whisked away upon realisation of who she was, the young witch hasn't had much experience with the other sex. Apart from flirtatious glances from the truly bold (which she ignores), she's not exactly devoid of desire. She wants and she wants quite a bit but she also knows that she can't get so she let's most things drift by. Relationships are a no-go anyways so she's somewhat fortunate in that regard.

H I S T O R YApril has only ever committed one sin, but it's a heinous sin at that - she was born. The family she was born into - the Pembrooks were generally considered to be one of the most powerful wizarding families in America but not for their magical prowess or their great wizarding abilities; no, they were rich and held a lot of power in the Republic of Magic. The Pembrooks originated from Seattle but had branched out to gain a lot of control over the Washington State area. Her grandmother, Melissa Pembrook, was the acting Supreme of the family - the overarching matriarch that controlled all of the family's collective actions. The rules enforced by the family were nothing short of totalitarian in nature but they had a considerable amount of power which kept people in line pretty well. They had very staunch views on the treatment of magical creatures and the bloodlines of wizards and one of their most guarded rules was that witches and wizards inside the family could not marry or have children with muggles or worse, half-bloods. How hypocritical it was, then, that her mother was the one to break those rules and lie with a muggle.
Fast forward nine months and April was born, much to the fury and hatred of her extended family. Her grandmother would appear weak and biased if she didn't do anything about it so she excommunicated her own daughter and sent her into exile. There was still, of course, the problem of the eerily quiet baby that they were left with. For April, her grandmother chose mercy, which was both appreciated and frowned upon in the family. Things could have went a lot more downhill for the stubborn young thing but surprisingly, she had a mostly pleasant early life. Her grandmother kept her safe from those who wished harm upon her and brought her up like she was her own. April was smart, of course, and it wasn't long until she began hearing the stories and the rumours but she didn't let it bother her. She wholeheartedly loved her grandmother and although she wasn't fussed on the whole idea of power and politics, she looked like a promising young witch.
She grew up surrounded by magic on every side so it wasn't a surprise that she picked it up fairly quickly. Then, during the summer before she went to Salem for the first time, things went south. Like, very south. Their family, having radical views on the treatment of magical creatures, were attacked by a small group of fundamentalists trying to rip the heart right out of the Pembrook Coven - her grandmother. They didn't get to her, of course, but they got really damn close. Close enough to get April. She doesn't remember much but she does remember losing a copious amount of blood. When she came back around, she was still somehow alive with a very long cut running down her thigh that had been sealed over with silver.
As her grandmother nursed her back to health, it was becoming abudantly clear that although being a half-blood was acceptable, being a half-blood werewolf was not. Her grandmother was forced into an ultimatum - get rid of the girl or keep her and risk both their lives. So, begrudgingly, she got in contact with April's mother again. Although she was hesitant, her mother came back and took her as soon as she heard about the threat to her life.
Her mother wasn't exactly rich so the ingredients required to make Wolfsbane were hard to come-by but they got on alright. She was taken up North to Canada where her turning couldn't affect anyone. When it came to school, both her and her mother agreed that keeping her curse quiet was the best idea. Her mother tried to get as much Wolfsbane as possible but it was tricky so there's been more than a number of times where April will disappear for a night and go as far as she can from the school. She's a werewolf so nothing can really harm her anyways. She just fears the day where she can't get out. Where she can't run and be away from others.F A M I L Y
- Grandmother - Melissa Pembrook was the woman who actually raised her and kept her safe from those who would see her dead and for that, April is eternally grateful, but she still holds a silent judgement in her heart for her grandmother throwing her own daughter away and still fervently believes that although she loved April, a part of her always hated that her granddaughter was a half-blood.
- Mother - Alyssa Pembrook may not have been there for April her entire life but April has come to an understanding with that. Her mother was the one who actually helped her with her curse and although she refuses to tell her anything about her father, April probably trusts her the most in the world.
