The month had that passed since the crew left Loguetown had been an interesting one, at least for Spiril. He had never been away from his parents or library for more than a few days. But now, after a month aboard the Argo, he had to admit that things were going surprisingly well. Sure, he had moments now and then where he missed the comfort of home and the life he had been forced to leave behind, but he had quickly grown accustomed to his new life onboard the Argo. And so, bit by bit, the longing to return home and to be back with his parents started to fade.

One of the more notable things that happened during the month was the attack on the Marine Base, where they met the former captain Freya

Spiril didn't have much in battle or on a battlefield, so he remained a safe distance from where all the fighting was, doing his best to keep himself safe, but he failed. After the crew had ended up ruining most of the base he had felt it safe to start heading towards them so that they could meet up before returning to the ship, but he got ambushed and wrestled to the ground. The man that wrestled him to the ground turned out to be one of the marines many recruits Sancho, Church, and Samehana had just rushed through and beaten into the ground. He was badly wounded, he was weaponless, and he had almost no strength left, but still presented a threat to Spiril. The two kept tumbling around on the ground, and as they fought Spiril became more and more aware of the trillions of different bacteria that live inside the marine, but Sancho showed up and saved him.

Since that day Spiril has been hellbent on learning as much as he can about bacteria and how they work, and now that they have docked at the harbor of Elfen Island finding a library is the only thing on his mind, but he frowned when he heard that he would only have two hours to do his research. Two hours of reading would just let him scratch the surface, and he would need way longer than that if he was going to learn anything useful, but it would have to do.

He left the crew and started searching for a library, but what he found could best be described as ruins. The library was a mess. Everything had a thick layer of dust on it. Spider webs were woven loosely around books, dirtied shelves, and stands. Busted lamps hung from wires that were embedded in the cracked ceiling and walls, and the ground was littered with dirt, glass, books, and torn paper. There was no question, this place had been left to crumble, but how could someone do this to a library? Did the people of this place have no respect for books or knowledge? "What the hell...?" Spiril asked himself as he started walking through the library in search for the books he would need, but as he walked he kicked up dust and the air became harder and harder to breathe. He could hear sounds of rodents running around just out of sight, and the rustling of papers caught in the draft.
Well, im back and there is so much to read....
Does it matter which route you take in the Grandline, by the way? For Story purposes, I mean.

Well, we are supposed to end up on Drum. So if you wanna make it easy we can just follow the route that takes us there, if not, we need one of those special compass things.

That said, I don't think there is any canon map that shows what route leads where.

I'm not an expert at plantlife, nor will I claim to be.
But isn't fire and plant a big nono?

they would just help the fire grow :3
I just hope Vlad doesn't get attacked by another army of white knights

another? what did I miss?
@Xandrya

quick question. Did Madison fix herself before leaving her room, or does she still have the tear stains and sweat covering her face?

The name is NOT Madeline!

Take it easy.... I will wrap him up in some vines and then you can torch him. That will make him remember your name :3
@Xandrya

Yes, yes he is. Sorry, between working and streaming I haven't had a whole heck of a lot of brainpower for posting. Will do so before work!

did someone say stream?
@Sif

Is Mr. K in his office? Just need to know before I write the rest of my post.

The last time he was on was two days ago, hopefully he will be back soon.
I fear he will be left in limbo like that.

There was someone that planned to go talk to him.

The first thing Spiril noticed as he got out onto deck was how empty it was. Just an hour ago, when the marine soldiers had hauled him aboard, the whole deck had been swarming with marines, but they were all gone now, and in their stead stood two people that were very clearly not marines. A man, and what seemed to be a fishwoman. Spiril had never seen one of those before, but he had stumbled upon descriptions of them in countless books, and he had to say that the writers had really nailed the details, and even tho this one didn't have a very defined fishlike features it was enough to convince Spiril that his assumptions were corrected.

"New crewmate? You haven't even told me your name yet!" Spiril yelled as Sancho introduced him. He had never agreed to this, he had agreed that he owed Sancho one, but this was a bit much. Spiril wanted to go back home, back to the library. He wanted to hide among the thousands of books, nooks, and crannies that the library contained, and just wait until the marines gave up looking for him, but that was when it started to dawn on him, he couldn't go back. He was a fugitive now, and if the marines ever found him he would just get thrown in jail and it wouldn't just be for eating some fruit. "Sneaky bastard," He muttered as he glanced over at the man he had considered his savior, and as he did he couldn't help having a sneaking suspicion that the only reason he had been freed was so that Sancho could make him join the crew. "I don't owe you anything anymore," He groaned as he turned his gaze to sea, it seemed to be time to go on an adventure.

Spiril did a quick second scan of the fishwoman as she introduced herself. Her black haired reached the ground, and as she spoke he could rows of sharp teeth, but Spiril had a hard time not staring directly at her chest. "Spirillum, that's my name, but like, just, um..." Spiril took a pause and took a deep breath as he could feel that he was already stumbling over words. His mouth felt dry and full of sand, and even just talking seemed hard, but after a short pause, he managed to get the words out. "Just call me Spiril." but he was unsure that she heard him as she seemed to busy punching the air, and then all of a sudden she just jumped into the sea. "I...is that normal for her?" Spiril asked, his eyes darting between the two guys that were left on deck with him, but as the ship started to move he understood what was going on.
