I put this up here just because I didn't know where we warn people about people who've clearly only joined to site to plug a link. Unless the staff is actually okay with people joining the site with no intentions of contributing and just to plug links. Then again, I was pretty tired and I haven't seen if they've done anything productive since I went offline, but I still thought it was worth people knowing about at least.
'twas a fair catch, and I don't think he'll be considered legitimate until he does anything.
My suggestion is to take this to the mods directly - they check the bot reporting thread and their PM boxes, beyond that your mileage may very.
