Hmm.
'Hmm' was the calmest culmination of her thoughts she could conjure as she heard and felt Remus at the same time. It was a presence unmistakable, and one she immediately connected to the human. The means by which that connection was made was a subject of interest to her, as she failed to make the connection before. But then, she hadn't checked them properly, and Remus of all beings was more than capable of bypassing Kolonis's most basic detection.
If she was looking at the situation critically, she didn't think the word of a demon lord would do much to convince the more 'moral' members of the group to cooperate. A demon lord, leading a quest to slay a hero. Yes, she could see the problems immediately there. Even if this first part went well, collision between the stark contrasts that she felt from this assembling group seemed inevitable.
She did her best not to jump when her name was barked, though the runes on her lap visibly shifted. "...he's not wrong... anyone volunteering?" she mumbled in a very poor attempt at a joke.
Such a statue was very difficult to create and used a degree of runic magic in its architecture, and so she did indeed have an idea of its workings. A human or greater being would be a better sacrifice than a minor beast, but the job could be done whichever way. Such runes were designed not to betray the nature of the knowledge within at first glance, and so she could not identify what the statue possessed from simply looking at it.
Why did I bother to keep that 'advantage', she thought on the matter of her name. Of course he just blurts it out for all to hear....
