@PlatinumSkinkWhen Mariette performed the shift, and traversed over the veil between worlds to the Overcity, she found herself in a strange, yet beautiful landscape. The ground was made up of an endless pattern of interlocking squares, alternating in colors of
black and white. Some of them were just bleach or darkened dirt, while other squares were firm and hard as stone. The sky was shimmering with a storm of shooting stars, and one could see
galaxies with the naked eye. There were also ruins, some built by human hands, others by unknown means; as if they drifted and coalesced from different rivers of time and space. Far in the distance, Mariette saw the shape of something colossal move in the horizon, as if a mountain was walking; magical creatures live here too, but whether they were friendly or hostile was a mystery.
Mariette's Absolute Direction drew her to a certain direction, no matter what the focus was; it was clear that there was a way to find what she sought. And then she saw it; far away in the distance, the giant was consumed in what looked like a smoke cloud, rising high into the sky. Mariette saw the shape the cloud took; a fungus. She had to brace herself for the shockwave that soon hit her, like a giant wall of wind that almost knocked her off balance by the sheer volume of it. She then heard something strange carrying in the wind; it was a woman's laughter.

It seemed the bloodmares were capable of transforming, as not only did they grow wings to attack Lily and her group, but the ones Amber and Helga fought also changed, turning more spiky and plated due to bone growing from their flayed skins. Like wheels, they spun around, trying to ram into the two girls.
Both groups then heard a mocking laughter, familiar to some; riding on top of a bullet train arrived a magical girl dressed in gothic lolita fashion; she had a clock for an eye, and an oversized revolver in her hands.
"HELGA" She dramatically called out, and the train whisked right past the station, only to suddenly move in reverse. The magical girl. Jumped on top of the train station, and posed like a ballerina, leg raised high.
Helga grit her sharp teeth, and her shoulder slunk in an agitated fashion. "Minnie!"
"You stupid beast! You know what the price for betraying Mistress is! Give up, and accept your punishment!" She twirled her revolver in her hand, and juggled it alongside another one she summoned. "I know! But I'm done working for a crazy witch like her! She never cared what happens to us, don't you see? You're just another pawn in her game!"
"How dare you insult the great Lady Justine!" Minnie snapped back.
"I had a faint hope you would repent and answer to your crimes yourself by coming willingly, but I see it was futile! I shall orchestrate your doom!""No, I won't let you!" Lily cried out, and and drew her bow.
"Hah, is this what you betrayed us over? A bunch of misfits pretending to be major players. They are nothing but extras, spouting asides and never achieving a true performance in their lives! Let us end this charade!"Her revolver transformed into a conductor's baton, and she twirled it around. At that moment, human-sized pocket-watches sprouted from around her, and they spewed out mechanical doll minions like hoses; soon, the entire block was crowded with them, and they took their bayonetted rifles to bear as they charged with unseen skill, dodging attacks while quickly surrounding them.
