What sort of dragons? What size are they at birth and when they grow up? Do they speak? Is it vocal or telepathic? Do bonded humans receive any benefits from their bond?
Hmmm... creating a mage is a bit difficult without a guideline as there aren't any in Sword Art Online. I'd appreciate any sort of advice here.

Also, for background purposes, at the start do we know that we are trapped and that the game has become lethal or is that to be announced in game?

Just my opinion really but I would agree. They do feel like a Mary Sue race. I'd be using that race constantly for my sorceress' due to that ridiculous charisma adjustment.

However the race to me feels unclean. Unnatural implies unicorns would kill them and druids hunt them. Natural things die. Natural things decompose, giving birth to news life. To me this race sounds anti-nature. Selfishly refusing to give back to the world that created them, forever refusing to return to the soil that created them.
I'm interested. I do like stats but don't enjoy quite so many as some MMORPGs I've seen.

Dice... I sort of like provided we can self adjucate and don't need to consult the GM constantly. (Which would be a little of work for the GM and slow things down as everyone has to wait on the GM for every crisis)
As with all things D&D it's up to you and your GM.

In my opinion I'd overrule the concept that this Houri race does not decompose. That is horribly unnatural for a creature that is supposed to be representative of nature.

Seriously, in my games, those that have had their souls destroyed or have been infected by outerplanar magics or other horrid unnatural things don't decompose. Basically nature abhors the corpse and won't decompose it as is normal.
Vacation should be over by the end of the weekend... I'm flying back Sunday. However my apartment was flooded about a week ago. We'll see how things look when I get back.

From the sounds of it... I only lost a couple D&D books that were on the floor next to the bed so here's hoping my friend's assessment is good and it only takes me a day to clean it all up.
You could recover it from the dungeon of a rival noble's Castle, particularly if there's an alternate entrance like an escape tunnel or sally gate.

It would explain why you need disposable, disavowable, untraceable actors but still retain the traditional adventure theme and avoid mission impossible chicanery which, truth be told, I've rarely seen players do well.

In my experience, sneaking around in castles usually ends like the cell block scene in Star Wars. "Boring conversation anyway. Luke! We're about to have company!"
Unfortunately you haven't addressed the kidnapping of Price. What if Price wanted to resist? What if he wanted to protest? What if he noticed being sneaked up upon? He was given to opportunity to react.
*grins * Doesn't matter to me. I'm on vacation and I'm not waiting on posts. I'm only pointing things out because everyone else here is taking an afternoon nap.
