You act like they can dodge bullets or beam-based weaponry.

Edit: And if energy shields and magic are the only two things needed to make something in this roleplay difficult to kill, then everything in the roleplay should be borderline impossible to put down.
Typically when I run characters, I treat npc enemies as legitimate threats that, if given the chance, will kill and/or wound my character if said character messes up.

I hold other RPers to the same standard, which is why for this roleplay I really only trust Kyelin and two other people for pvp battles. Rest of you have a habit of power playing or using dumb tactics and expecting them to work flawlessly. Wilson and Duck are two prime examples; Keyguy forced my left eyebrow to elevate several inches from its starting position when he had a fighter ram through a ship's bridge (at high speeds) and somehow had his character survive the impact and live on through a firefight on the bridge. While outnumbered.

Duck having mages out in the open exposed to entrenched autocannon and HMG fire and somehow having them not only survive barrages of bullets and shells, but also having them throw turrets around hitting soldiers with them was another eye-opener and a red flag.
You're not going to win many debates by ignoring the majority of a person's point, only to pull out a single sentence and try to twist it to turn people against one another.

Boerd doesn't 'win' any debates. His tried-and-true tactic of bringing up irelevant points and his persistent use of backwards logic only helps to reinforce his established title as an excellent arguer. A debater he is not.

When I say small shards, there shard-like pieces, but only a bit smaller then your average bullet.

Still useless against armored starships.

1.I misread it, oops.2.Thats refering to the bombers in space., not the fighters on the planet. A round from a rail-gun system is also moving ridiculously fasr, and in the Iscandarians case they use small shards of heavy tungsten. It be impossible to target them.

They can use radar to track them.

And if they're the size of needles or pencils, they uselessly impact the hull of the ship in a spray of equally-useless plasma.

They fired first, have ignored all attempts to estiblish a line of communication, and then fired on a Iscandarian ship after approaching atmosphere and ignoring warning shots. Also Apollo, those fighters are using kinetic ordinance. As in rail-guns, how do you stop that with other kinetic weapons?

By using smart munitions. At least that's how the vul'kruun do it.

The real-life CIWS (or Close-In-Weapons System) uses a similar principle, although the CIWS fires standard ammunition; it's also designed to destroy missiles, not rail gun rounds.

This arguing in general gets us nowhere. People get online to post IC, see the latest argument and end up posting their opinion on the matter. I know I've done it before. It's pretty annoying. Starting to turn into this:
