Current First post after nearly a month of inactivity. Here's hoping I can get back into a good post routine before long.

Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

Thanks to having to move earlier this year, I finally get to experience snow for the first time since my early childhood. It's absolutely wonderful :)

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

While I’m sure the GM’s have already discussed what I’m about to go over, I feel it needs to be discussed publicly. Namely, what were the requirements to win? In my mind that was getting all the relics which, if I recall correctly, we did. Therefore I find it unfair that our ultimate outcome is failure.

Were there secondary objectives we missed? Probably, and because of that I’m fine with our victory coming at an enormous loss. But in the grand scheme if the primary objective was achieved then an ending where the evil was not defeated should not be the character’s fates. But I could be wrong. My memory is only so good and with how far apart our posts are I could have easily missed or forgot something. If that is the case then I'll shut up and watch the world burn with you guys.

This is the only problem I have with the sudden end however. As pointed out interest in this RP is all but gone and there is really no reason to keep it going if it's so we can be done with it.

Ultimately I think ending it is a smart choice but how it ends is the GM’s decision. If they want to change the ending to be a bit better cool. If not and all the characters are going to die in defeat, oh well. It sucks but clearly we've already moved on or stopped caring.

Edit: This is a joke. Real opinions to come.

We are saying this is a Bad End in the fashion of visual novels, where most any ending before the main would be called a Bad End. There is no more interest in continuing the RP, so it will have to come to a conclusion sooner then expected. Since this means no one will be confronting a great antagonistic figure and saving the day, then this is a Bad End.

I knew I picked the wrong dialog options earlier. Now I gotta go back through our saves and see where I messed up. (Assuming we didn't rely on auto-saves the whole way through)

Anyway, if you need anything from me to close the book on this let me know.
@KoL

When you say "Bad End it" does that mean we're getting the Bad Ending? Were we supposed to collect more gems to unlock the better endings?

Docks

After eating a hearty amount of the food provided, the Oaks claimed their seats to spectate the race. They had broken away from Sepia and her parents not long after Sand and Allen left. They had only met this morning so there wasn’t much need to stay together, and finding seating at the race would be difficult for a larger group.

”Trad. How come you didn’t sign up for the race?” Fern asked as the three got settled in their chairs.

”Speed and agility... Aren’t really my things.” Trad replied thinking back to his pitiful run at the obstacle course on his first day. ”As the team tank I focus more on stuff like strength and defense.”

”And it’s clearly paid off!” Blad remarked eyeing Trad’s arm. ”What do you bench now six? Six fifty?”

A smug smile crept over Trad’s face ”Maybe on my off days.”

While the Oak boys talked about lifting, Fern spotted two familiar faces in the crowd. ”Hey, Trad. Isn’t that Sand and Allen over there? Who are they talking too?”

”Oh! That’s one of my other teammates Robert. And it looks like Priscilla is with him. Huh, I thought she left the school.” Trad wondered as he watched his friends interacting. Something was off though. The way Priscilla was looking at Sand seemed almost hostile, and Allen looked almost uncomfortable being there.

”Uh-oh. I know that look. That girl thinks the other is moving in on her territory. Might want to go help your friends out before either makes the situation worse.” Blad suggested to his son.

”I don’t know. Might be best to just let them sort this out on their-”

Muffins?! Why the hell are you bringing my man breakfast?

”I’ll be back.” Trad said getting out of his seat.

”Good luck” Blad called out leaning back in his seat before realizing his wife was now giving him a stare similar to Priscilla. ”What?”

”What do you mean ‘I know that look.’ You saying I get jelous?”

”No. I’m just saying I’ve seen that look a few times before?”

”When?”

”Well right now for instance”

”Before now.”

”There was that time I gave the neighbor a ride home.”

”Margret’s a floozy and everyone knows it! And it’s not like you haven’t had that look at other guys before.”

”When have I ever-”

Shaking his head Trad left for his teammates while his parents continued their bickering. Pushing through the crowd he arrived just in time to see Sand extending her hand in an effort to make peace. ”Hey, everything alright over here?”

Reothadh

When Burning Blossom finally lost her balance and fell from the wall, Reothadh couldn’t help but laugh. It was always satisfying to see such a confident enemy lose their snark when they started tripping over themselves. The sudden expression change as the once high and mighty can’t even walk straight is more than enough to put a smile on one’s face. However, he had to give her props for somehow surviving the fall with such low defense. ”You’ve put up a good fight, lass. But it’s time I extinguish your fla-” A bolt of lightning from the downed mage cut the warrior off as he watched it fly past him and strike the side of the wall.

His first instinct as he saw the wall coming down was to run, but a quick glance at his partner made him realize the real danger. Tiger was still stunned. If he ran she would die and he couldn’t win this fight alone. Without a second thought he dove onto Golden Tiger in an attempt to shield her from the debris. Hopefully his armor would be enough to protect them both.

When the last bit of rubble had fallen, the brief pause in action was broken by the frozen knight breaching the surface and emerging from the rubble and pulling Golden Tiger out with him. Between that and the earlier lightning, Reothadh’s health was now in the critical red. A sneeze from the enemy could fall him. To make matters worse, Burning Blossom was nowhere in sight. Either she fled the scene, or was somewhere waiting in ambush.

”Well, this fight has certainly taken it’s turns.” He said to Tiger assuming she was still kicking. ”Don’t suppose you have any healing items on you?”

@KoL
Upon rereading character sheets, it seems Tatiana already had a psychic ability meaning they've already been approved for Machina. If only I had done some light reading before hand I could have saved us like 4 minutes of discussion.
<Snipped quote by Awesomoman64>

You can have Machina with magic stuff in them if you want. Like 90% of what they do is based on some form of magitek or another. Whatever it's it should be ok... likely.

Alright. Most of his stuff is tech based, but there are a few abilities that would be hard to do without a touch of the supernatural.
@KoL

Makes sense. I was just trying to see if I could implement that into a Machina character I'm making.
@TheWindel@KoL

Would you consider psychic abilities magic or nah?
