Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

Grimm Studies

“Well, you certainly are a man of many titles.” Trad noted as Llyr introduced himself. It was at that moment Llyr grabbed Cian and began dancing with her. “And many surprises as well.”

Once they stopped, the squid faunus asked Trad’s relation to Robert, to which Robert replied by a hyped up overview of Trad’s skills and abilities. It was a bit embarrassing but he couldn’t help but feel flattered at all the praise Robert was giving him. “Man. Remind me to have you do all my introductions from now on.” He said with a smirk.

When Prof. Port finally arrived, he informed the class that today they would be fighting a rare Riesen-type Grimm. Leading them to a large stone room with wooden poles scattered around and a massive plantlike grimm trapped in the center, Port explained what the Grimm was and it’s method of attack. After that he gave them all time to look around and formulate strategies, though it might have also been to let the shock wear off on a few frightened faces.

Despite its intimidating size and nature, Trad was able to push himself to walk up to the glass case that held the beast and began circling it. Port said he had sawed the teeth off, so getting eaten wasn’t a problem, but getting crush or even impaled by its many tentacles was. What was truly troubling was the fact that the stem of the Grimm wasn’t planted anywhere. This thing would be able to move, and assuming the worst, it would be fast. What really caught his attention were the small limbs closer to the stem. They all had Grimm masks on, something that usually indicated a weakness. Port had said the stem was tough to cut, perhaps the stem wouldn’t need to be the target?

With enough information gathered, Trad regrouped with the others to plan their course of attack.

“Here’s what I’m thinking.” He started. “From what I can tell, this thing is mobile. So I’ll try to draw its attention and keep its focus on me. That way I can lead it anywhere we need and hopefully keep the heat off you guys. Now as for how to actually kill this thing, I think I have an idea. There are several smaller limbs near the stem all with masks. I don’t know if cutting those off will kill it, but I’ve never known a Grimm to have a mask just anywhere. If you guys can take those out, I’m certain we’ll at least do some considerable damage. If it’s still kicking after that, then we aim for the stem and hit it with everything we’ve got. Sound good?”

Omega

Watching carefully as Endian stepped out from behind cover just as he had, Omega kept his hands hovering over his revolvers. If she even stepped in the wrong way he could open fire in less than a second. At first the caution seemed unnecessary as The Machina appeared genuine in her talks of a truce. Then without warning they and everyone else were teleported to a large amphitheater where the person they had just teamed up to find resided. Instinctively Omega drew his revolver and pointed them straight at Helena.

”Well speak of the devil. Guess we found her.” Omega said Endian.

Lowering his weapons for now, Omega listened to Helena as she spoke of freeing them from the Nexus and asked the question of “what did they fight for?”. Before he could really answer, most of the others in the room questioned both the vampire in both her ability to deliver and what repercussions might follow. This was then followed up by Endian pouring out her soul and making a counteroffer to join her instead.

”I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm with the demons on this one.” he stated in slight shock at his own words. ”You talk big, but you haven’t done nothing Deva and them can’t do. Even if you could do as you’ve said I highly doubt your intentions are completely honorable. Personally I’m not convinced we wouldn’t just be trading three tyrannical gods for one. Now if you want to change that, well, you’ve tested our metal and questioned our motives, I think it’s only fair we get to do the same.”

Wolf

As they continued forward through the dungeon, Bonesword attempted conversation by saying he was once human. The information didn't really phase the Inquisitor, but if it helped the demon keep his sanity he would try to hold the conversation.

“I assumed as much. Most demons fail to hold themselves to any sort of moral code and have little in the way of self control. You, however, have no trouble following our rules and you honor the chain of command. Any reason you bring this up now?”

Before their discussion could continue, the two were warped to the amphitheater where Helena offered them and the others freedom from the Nexus. Wolf didn't even consider the offer before scoffing at it.

“And who are you to judge this place so? Is it not the Nexus that has strengthened us? The war that defined us? True death is met by so few it isn't even a factor! Anyone no matter how weak can fight without fear until they too have the skills of a matter. If we truly ever want to ascend to the level of the high three, then we must remain where were are.”
Sorry if I'm holding us up. I Planned to post today but work kicked my ass. Hopefully I can get something tomorrow.
Mezdon Hadirial

In the depths of the Midgate Prison, while others screamed in pain or sobbed in their sorrow, one lone mage sat in his cell meditating. He could not cast any spells of course, but he could at least keep his connection to the mystical forces of the world and even retain his sanity. This was by no means an easy feat, however. He not only had to ignore the pains of hunger and thirst that ravaged him, but the previously mentioned screams and cries as well. Some would call this attempt to maintain his power futile but he persisted for one reason. Should the chance of freedom ever present itself, he would be ready.

Day in and day out he did his best to drown out the sounds of agony around him, and while he was successful most days, today his concentration was broken by a cry from the cell across from his. A cry asking why “They could not hear any of her screams”. This break from routine was enough for him to do the same. Slowly he pushed himself to his feet and walked to the bars that confined him and called out.

“There is no need to apologize, miss. This place is meant to wear one's mind down. The fact you’ve lasted so long is a testament to your own mental fortitude. But I must ask, whose screams can we not hear? In a place like this, I’m afraid screams are all we do hear.”

Are magic runes a thing in this world? Because if so all we have to do slap some disruption ones on a pair of shackles and boom. We good.
@Banana

Is all good. I've been busy with other RPs this week anyway.

though one has to wonder how to imprison a mage...

We better figure out before I post. Mezdon is in prison right now XD

Grimm Studies

As he walked into the Grimm Studies class, Trad took a moment to look around the room. It had only been a few days, but for reason he felt like it had been forever since he had set foot in this room. Maybe the long mission combined with the three day weekend was throwing off his sense of time. Either way, he was actually excited to be here. Now he just needed to find an available seat, better yet, one next to a familiar face.

At first he considered sitting next to one of his old teammates as he was curious to see how they were doing, but once he saw Robert, he knew he had to sit next to him. Up until now, Robert had been a zombie. He had been broody and unresponsive all morning and at lunch he pretty much avoided everyone. Yet now here he was, smiling and chatting with two new faces like he was his old self again. Something turned his mood around and Trad wanted to make sure it stayed that way.

“Well, look who's feeling better.” Trad stated as he took a seat next to his teammate. “And just in time too. If you had kept frowning any longer it might have become permanent. See you met some new friends.” He said as he looked passed Robert and give Llyr and Cian a quick wave. “Hey there. Names Trad Oak.”

Just then Trad felt his scroll go off in his pocket. Slipping the device out he read the upset message of his smoking buddy. Of course. Just as one friend cheers up another gets down in the dumps. Balance of the universe and all that. With a sigh Trad sent a reply.

To: Bad Habit Partner

Well, we’re only in an enclosed room with 20+ people. So probably wouldn’t be the smartest.

If you need to vent go for it. Clearly we’re not doing anything too important.

And once again @KoL somehow works "yaoi" into the discussion. Why am I not surprised? XD
Really gotta stop dragging my feet and get Trad back in the game here. Let's see, which one of the conversations in Grimm studies should he insert himself into?
