Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

Thanks to having to move earlier this year, I finally get to experience snow for the first time since my early childhood. It's absolutely wonderful :)

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

@KoL There's nothing you can do if Mephilius chooses the dastardly plan of torturing Flos via monopoly games.

Flos: "I would like to use my 'get out of jail free' card."

Mephilius: "What? But you're not in... Oh."

Flos: "Peace." *Gets up and walks out of hell.*

Henry: "...This game is dumb..."
@Banana Innocent is merely the absence of guilt and crime. Everyone who never existed is innocent.

Grimm Studies

”Hmm, you make good points.” Trad said agreeing with both Llyr and Robert after they pointed out trying to be the sole distraction might not work out as he had intended. Unfortunately, none of them were able to come up with a new plan before Port released the Dionaea. In an instant the Grimm’s many tendrils shot out with about two targeting every student, including Trad.

Pulling out his weapons, Trad was only just able to bash away the first tendril by giving it a good solid up swing with his shield. The second one came in just as fast ready to take advantage of the wide opening the hunter gave only to find the hit ineffective as Trad quickly used his semblance before it made contact. While the second tendril recoiled from practically hitting a wall, Trad deactivated his semblance and brought his shield down on it, causing further damage to the already retreating plant.

Having a moment free of the Grimm’s attack, Trad looked over the battlefield to see how everyone else was faring. To his surprise, a group lead by Ben were making a push toward the Dionaea despite still having an onslaught of tentacles after them. At that point he realized part of his plan would still work, only instead of him being the distraction, it would need to be his would need to be all four of them.

Charging forward, Trad placed himself in front of the others and expanded his shield to a kite in order to fend off the tendrils more easily while he explained his idea. ”Cian, Robert, aim for the heads watching Ben’s group. See if you can’t get them to focus on us instead. Llyr, you and I need to keep these things at bay while they shoot!” If his plan worked they would no doubt be swarmed by tendrils, but the advancing team would have a clear path.

Oh crap, sorry I was supposed to post awhile ago. I'll get one up later today after work. If you want to post anyway I don't know if there's anything Trad has to add.

Omega

Omega didn't need to be told twice. The moment Endian told him to shoot his guns were out and firing. Problem was, as accurate as his shots were, none hit. Whatever trickery she had going was really giving the gunslinger a run for his money, but he wasn't about to let that stop him.

What DID stop him was Grafdaka hitting the clock, losing the nearly all the flames they had. “Hey careful with those big attacks! I don't know what’ll happen if we run out of them flames, but I ain't looking to find out!” He called to Endian.

It was then that Helena halted the fight to offer them a third time a chance to leave the Nexus for whatever world is beyond. The difference this time was she clearly spelled everything out. No tricks, no loopholes, just a deal plain and simple. This time, however, Omega needed no time to think on his answer. “Sorry. But no.”

The ghost took a step toward Helena and explained his answer. “This place is my home. Unlike many others here, I have no past life or memory before it. The Nexus is the only place I've known and I ain't leaving it to wallow in chaos and destruction forever. Y’all think it’ll never change? Well I hate to break it to ya, but it already has. Take a look.”

Pointing behind him Omega pointed out the different groups behind him. “We’ve a demon and a dragon from heaven working together, several demons and a Machina all joining forces, and hell, I was just about to partner up with Endian before you warped us all here. Now if the top commanders of all three factions are willing to work together, I'm betting so are the rest of their soldiers.”

Turning away from Helena, Omega looked to the others and concluded, “If any of y’all are wanting to take this deal, I won't hold it against you. But I’m not going anywhere. I'm seeing this to the end no matter how long that takes.”

Wolf

As one could guess, Wolf was not amused by Helena’s tricks and mockery. His initial instinct was to end all this at once with a simple dispel. Slamming his halberd on the ground as he had earlier he unleashed a psychic wave that swept over the room. Unlike before, however, everything remained as is.

“What?” the word escaped his mouth. Even spells of the highest level couldn't withstand his abilities. How powerful was this woman’s magic?

He didn't have much time to try another dispel before Helena halted the fight. Once more she gave the offer, but Wolf didn't even give it a thought. As Endian finished her speech, Wolf jumped in with words of his own.

“Whatever is outside the Nexus is inferior! The Machina are a living testament to what can be accomplished here. When man first stepped in the Nexus we couldn't even hold a candle to the other factions. Now look at us, we rival heaven and hell and we are still advancing! You may not see an end coming, but do, and it comes when the technology overtakes magic. Starting now!” Wolf’s eyes began to glow as he focused on Helena using disruption. She would quickly feel an emptiness as part of her connection to the mystic forces were blocked.
@Lucius Cypher

Was going to have a post up today but a stomach ache is making it hard to focus. If it goes away I should be able to finish today if not I'll have one tomorrow.
Let's just not ignore the fact that Helena is offering people a legit way out of the Nexus.

This begs the question, what would happen if every single character took the deal? Would the RP end or would it shift to a Slice of Life where everyone is rooming with each other trying to make it as super powerful beings in the regular world.
<Snipped quote by Awesomoman64>

Hmm, now that Helena is toning down her power to slightly above the level everyone else is, he can counter some of her moves. However, he can't dispel the arena's effect, that would make the fight pointless. But if she uses any other attacks besides that, and she'll, you can feel free to dispel them.

The DoT effect remains, anything else (except for the effect of the clock finishing its countdown) is ok to dispel. Is that alright?

That works. I assumed he wouldn't be able to wipe the room but figured I'd ask now instead of find out after the battle it was an option. Now what about using disruption on her? Someone with her power level probably couldn't be cut off fully from her magic, but it might reduce what she can do?
@KoL

Alright, my turn to ask these questions. How effective will Wolf's abilities be here? Obviously he's going to try Disruption on Helena, but he may also try to dispell the room entirely to try and wipe away whatever crazy nothing magic she's got going on. Would any of these do much or does Helena fall into the category of "too power for that shit"?
I see we never did finish the anime talk.

To be fair, are you ever finished with anime talk?
