I don't think they have, but just checking; has anyone taken Time or Gravity magic yet? 'Cause if not, I'll tack on one of 'em as a secondary magic, because Stop and Gravity offer the kind of control/chip damage that would supplement how Levi fights perfectly.
For context, in KH Gravity deals a percentage of a target's maximum health in Dark damage instead of checking for magic and defense, while Stop freezes a target for a few seconds, but said target doesn't take any damage while stopped. I was planning on only taking one, after the second world, and not going beyond Grava or Stopa with either.
Caleb watched as this Principal guard left, leaving injury, fear, and heartbreak in their wake. His left hand came to rest on the pommel of his sword, so that it would just appear he was resting his hand. He was fortunate for the helmet, otherwise they would've seen his tightly clenched teeth, and a glare that was doing it's level best to kill someone. These people... what I wouldn't do for five minutes in a room alone. That's all it would take. Perhaps they need to know what it's like fighting someone outside their weight class.
Caleb glanced down, and saw that at some point, his left hand had come off the sword and now his dominant hand had come across his body and gripped the hilt of his sword, hard enough that his knuckles were white under the gauntlet. He released his grip on the hilt of his blade and took a deep breath. Better to lead with my head for now, not my heart. No matter how badly I wish to show these bastards why they shouldn't attack their own people. And maybe show these damned oligarchs why they shouldn't order their men out to assault decent folk, while I'm at it.
It wouldn't be wise to fight them here, in a city he didn't know, where all it would take is one person who's more afraid of the guard than him, or man who gets away. It'd be suicide. Unless I can justify it as helping one of my compatriots, it's better to keep my feelings... and hands... to myself for now.
"Yes... let's get out of here." He said quietly, turning towards Kraseawei. "Before I lose my temper with these glorified brigands." He muttered under his breath, unsure if the sound escaped his helmet or not. He then simply started off behind Kraseawei, assuming that she had some ideas as to where she was going, doing his best to avoid clenching his fists.
With an actual focus coming together, if y'all don't mind, I can adjust Levi to fit in with the focus a little more.
The concept I had was for Levi, was that he knew Tsu as that older friend from another class. He would've probably gotten to know the others initially as his friend's younger siblings, almost. And, given how much Levi cares about the people who actually give a damn about him, plus the fact that he would've been old enough to understand at the time, would've definitely been affected by what happened to Tsu, and would've been one of the people looking for his remains, regardless of whether or not he was allowed on the search parties. He would also probably come to see the other two as younger siblings, trying his best to help them, even though at first it was out of a feeling of obligation to look out for the people his (allegedly) dead friend cared about. He was usually around, but unless someone came to him needing help, or something was happening that spurred him to action like some idiots trying to pick on a pair of kids who just lost someone they looked up to, or stopping someone from doing anything reckless or stupid, he would hang back and watch.
Thoughts? (And yes, I'm perfectly willing to just not do this if y'all would rather I not. Was planning on having Levi be roughly 19.)
Standing at a little over six feet and weighing in at around 180 pounds, with pronounced musculature and an average build, Levi is what most would consider a very healthy young man. Levi's hair is a dirty blonde that is kept in a clean crew cut, and he keeps clean-shaven whenever possible. His outfit typically consists of a pair of black exercise pants that are rolled up to about halfway up his calf, white running shoes, and typically sea-foam green tee shirts. Has a pair of white headphones that he wears around his neck, connected to a cassette player he has fastened to his belt.
Personality: Relatively mature for his age, Levi tends to be quick and decisive with both thought and action. He's the big brother, standing up for his friends when the teasing goes a little too far, or helping his friends to take a stand against outright bullies. When he isn't directly helping or threatening others, he's typically quite reserved, only ever lashing out when people he cares about are hurt, physically or emotionally. He is not without a wild side however, but he usually keeps his aggression under wraps most of the time, keeping it controlled unless he feels he needs it.

Backstory: Having grown up on the Destiny Isles, he always had a fondness for the beach where the other kids would play, finding it serene. It was a safe place, where all the stresses of life faded away with the whispering winds and rolling tides. He would often run laps around the island, at first with his father, and later by himself.
He met his best friend, Tsu, at around age 10, and looked up to him as that older friend in another class. Tsu helped him to better himself with more than just running, which brought him to work out more, in addition to sparring on occasion with practice weapons.
At the age of twelve, he found himself getting singled out for being quiet and never standing up for himself, having been taught that violence was never the answer and that letting his anger lead would only get him into more trouble. He was seen as a doormat by many, but that changed one day. When he was around fourteen, being quiet and reserved, Levi didn't have many friends. He cherished the few real friends he had, realizing he didn't want to see others hurt. When they were bullied for associating with him, he let the years of pent-up rage and aggression lose because they had the audacity to hurt his friend. From that day on, he realized that a stern 'no' and a harsh look could keep him and others safe, while rarely devolving into violence. He served as a ward against bullies, and although he was still awkward around most people, he all but perfected his death glare over the years as a figurative big brother to the others that frequented the beach.
When Tsu disappeared, reguardless of what anyone else said, he combed the beaches and a few nearby reefs day in and day out to find his friend, or at least whatever was left of him. When he was finally declared lost at sea, Levi became even more reserved, and finally gave up his search. He's of the opinion that Tsu is dead and gone, but given that the others are still clinging to some kind of hope that he might still be out there, Levi isn't about to quash that hope. Everyone needs something to hang on to, after all.
After Tsu died, he tried his best to fill in the gap that he left behind, keeping other people in check and trying to step up as best as he could, but he never did have Tsu's way with words. The best he could do was his best, which meant keeping those who frequented the beach from doing anything outright dangerous, meeting trouble head-on when it came, and bending an ear whenever someone else needed it. Sometimes when he's alone, he'll talk to Tsu, knowing that he won't get an answer, but hoping that maybe, just maybe, that spirit of his could help Levi be who other people needed him to be.
He often hung out around a particular part of the beach, where the palm trees and their star-shaped fruit gave him a place to relax and have a snack in the shade. By this point, he lived with his loving parents, but had saved up enough money that he was finally looking at moving out. He kept coming back here when he wasn't in school, or later working, more so because this place had been his haven from the stressors of life since before he could remember, and it was the perfect place to sit and unwind after a run. It was peaceful, safe, and quiet. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
Other: Techniques - Strike Raid, Rising Slash, Sliding Dash. Record of distance traveled in a single run - 30.9 mi.
For alignment, I'm assuming the standard 3x3 grid that's used with things like D&D and Pathfinder. Let me know if that's wrong.
Also, I'm planning on having my guy be a tank, with a Defense boon and a Magic bane, and Air as a primary element. If anyone had any plans on those, I can change up what I've got for a more balanced party comp.
So, you're looking for a GM, correct? I can't say I've ever done a 1x1 RP, but I could certainly try my hand if you'd be willing. I'm familiar enough with the world of 40k to wing it, and gotten through roughly the 65% threshold of the game in question (according to PS's tracking thing). Still, I know enough about the setting (both broad and specific) to run something.
This writing sample you have is fantastic, by the way.
