Current Star Wars Persistent World, that was a thing that was sort of a thing. Kind of.

LongSword is objectively the best main. Objectively.

The ones from Calle are usually monthly. I tried to start another one a few years back.

If you feel like you need help no shame in going out there and getting it. Take care of yourself.

I think you can develop a flair. A personal style. Words and phrases you like. That's why I don't get using Grammarly for word suggestions.

Agree with Kuro.

Discord works for 1x1, but even there forums are better equipped for it.

There's plenty of room here for improvement, but with a little practice and a little bugging the shit out of other people or just shamelessly stealing their shit you can get things looking nice and aesthetic.

That's a big piece Discord is missing. You look at some of the posters here and their Character Sheets and posts have a lot going on. It can be too much at times but a lot of the time it hits just right.
You could probably combine those last two ideas.

Metal Slug x Fantasy
Metal Slug x Post Apocalypse
Metal Slug In Spaaaaaaaaace
Metal Slug x Mechs

Metal Slug in Fantasy I imagine would be something like that Tiny Tina deal. A parody of fantasy tropes, maybe with some cobbled together Fantasy-Punk type magic thrower guns.

Metal Slug Post Apocalypse could be basically Mad Max with more of the Fallout Retro-Futuristic stuff in it.

Metal Slug in Space would basically be a cheesy Space Opera. Mass Effect the Musical kinda.

Metal Slug with Mechs is largely just Metal Slug the Anime, at least in my pea brain.
>L.A. Noire?

Disco Elysium
You could try that one detective game and figure out how to just be a complete piece of shit in it.
No sell it. It's a three way now.

Or I'll join and it's a Free Four All
Game maps are great. Even if a large portion of it is just for flavor, places you will not visit in the RP, they're still very helpful for making the world feel established. If your character is from the Dortani Highlands and I can look on a map and go Oh, so their ancestors passed through the SkrubbaDubba Mountain range to get them here, it just adds to the story.

I like to have map maker characters. Seems like something that would be handy
That's generally not what people mean when they say "stay out of politics" or "make it political"

It's when things are thrown in as a reference or parody of real world politics of the time. Particularly when they're presented in a partisan way.

Folks usually don't complain about the politics of Skyrim because it wasn't a poorly disguised socio-political commentary on politics of the time.

Same with Dying Light 2 or the Fallout series. They're not expies of real world situations or hackneyed attempts to insert the developers own viewpoints (or self insert) into the story.

Folks usually don't care much about picking a gender either. I've seen some folks annoyed that Male and Female are sometimes now referred to as Body Type A and Body Type B but that's a very small minority.

Unless it's funny. Everyone loves funny.
If developers could stay out of politics that'd be swell.

Horizon is one of the relatively few Sony exclusives I'd like to try and haven't. Gameplay seems cool. Concept is fairly unique. I've seen a clip or two of the new DLC and the world looks beautiful.

I'm definitely interested in Diablo IV as well. A little worried about what choices they might make given how that mobile Diablo went but it looks solid.

Another game that could be amazing but I'm worried about it, Starfield. Building off Fallout 4 and with all these years to make improvements it could be and ought to be amazing...but Bethesda is expert at fucking up a good thing.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Great concept.

I love the idea of an RP where folks aren't safe and victory isn't assured.

For Writing

Using Chat GPT to try to replicate how I write, or how any author I like writes, would be cool and a fun way to sort of spark off ideas rapidly. If I had a vague idea about a story I want to tell and could relatively quickly and effortlessly get a few short entries to use as prompts basically that's a huge boon.

I wouldn't want to have it make posts for me, and I wouldn't much respect someone who did. If you're going to write RPs it should be your writing. The same way I feel like using Grammarly or a Thesaurus to punch up your writing artificially is basically cheating and antithetical to being a writer posting Chat GPTs production would be antithetical to being a writer.

Interesting to think about where that might go in the future.

For Visuals

In regard to AI Art, I think it's amazing. Great tool for face claims. Also a great tool, like Chat GPT, for prompts and inspiration. The ability to pick an artist, a medium, and a subject opens things up immensely. My current Discord pfp is a Halfling Barbarian oil painting in the style of Frank Frazetta and it's pretty cool.

In Summary

Much like Chat GPT finishing your favorite unfinished series (Game of Thrones, Dark Tower, Stormlight Archives) or continuing a beloved series (Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Lord of the Rings) mimicking a style of writing will not mimic the inspiration and invention of the writer that made you love those series in the first place. At least not for another few years and then wooooweeee it's over.

In the same way you can get an idea of what defined one artist or another's style during his or her life, but it can't guess how that artist's talent and tastes might have developed. If all you have of Picasso is his Blue Period you're only ever going to see a subsection of his genius.
