= LIBRARY, MAGICIAN'S GUILD, BRIGHTWING CITY =

@BurningDaisies@IceHeart

Yeah, I'm drawing a blank here.

I couldn't understand a single word in all these books. Some of them have colorful and bright covers while the others are a little torn; majority of them are worn out, as if they're as old as the city itself. I tried to call on every inch of my power, taking inventory of any available spells that I can use in the situation I'm in. Alas, all of my spells can only control the wind and the weather which is pretty awesome in other times, but not on this one. December and Danielle sure are lucky to have very loyal servants beside them at all times. I made a mental note to create my own servant whenever I have available time in the future.

I moved over the section of the library that's near to an open window. Perched on it is a bird with blue feathers on its abdomen, black-colored wings, and a big red spot on its head. It's pecking something on the windowsill, which I later found out was actually bird seeds that someone may have given to it. I scanned the rows of books, desperate to find something that I can show to the rest of the team. When I still couldn't find anything, I exhaled loudly and the sound of shushes filled the library. I mumbled an embarrassed sorry at a person near me who looks like he's trying to shoot lasers out of his eyes.

"I. Hate. My. Life.", I said as I softly banged my head a couple of times on a wall, careful of not making any unnecessary noise to disturb the others. I glanced at the bird perched on the window, still pecking at its bird seeds. Judging from its appearance, I'd say it's roughly a year and a half old (don't ask me how I can determine a bird's age, I don't know how I knew it either). It may look a bit grumpy but I silently prayed to Abares that it's as approachable and friendly as the last two birds that I met.

I warily approached the bird, careful not to disturb it. "Uhm, hi! Hello there!", I said softly to the bird. "My name is-"

"Scram hybrid", he said. What I didn't understand is that it used the word hybrid almost as an insult like how some ignorant, small-minded, and pathetic people I know on Earth would use the "n" word.

I breathed in and out. Oh boy.

"Good sir, I would just want to ask you if you can understand what the texts on this book means", I randomly picked a book and showed it to the bird.

"O'course I can! I ain't dumb!", he said. "But I ain't gonna give my aid to hybrids such as you. Besides, only real magicians can have the full right to use the guild's library. Try-hard magician wannabes..." He returned to his pecking after that.

It took all my willpower not to strangle the mean bird with my talons. I softly laughed, which got the attention of the bird, and told him, "So only real magicians have the right can use the library right? I hope this would suffice". I looked outside the window, put the book beside the bird, turned my gaze at the clear, cloudless sky, and chanted silently. Thunder boomed at the distance, and soon dark, heavy clouds slowly covered the skies. Bolts of lightning crackled within the clouds. Dry leaves, dust, and other materials started to create a mini whirlwind that will soon become a tornado. Weirdly though, no wind is blowing inwards the library despite the windows being open, as if the library is magically enchanted to be protected from the outside elements.

"O-o-okay, okay, cut it out. I-I get it, you're a true magician. Y-you can stop now, please just stop now. You're s-scaring the others", he stammered. I turned my head. The other people inside the library seemed to notice the sudden appearance of a storm outside. Their expressions turned into a mix of shocked and scared as they slowly realized that I'm the one causing the storm.

I smiled back serenely at the bird and mockingly curtsied. "I am glad I have met your expectations." With just a flick of my wing, the storm dissipated instantly, the sky becoming clear and cloudless again. Relief is evident to the people inside the library, avoiding my gaze whenever I looked at them. Mr. Laser Eyes didn't look at me the same way again; one can argue that he's regarding me with awe now.

I turned my attention back at the bird. "So," I said with a sneer and my eyebrow raised while picking up the book, "will you help me now?"

He shuffled his feathers. "As if I have a choice. Alright, let's see what you got."

= REGNOPHOS: KINGDOM OF CLOUDS =

High and high above the skies lies Regnophos: the Kingdom of Clouds. To the east lies the golden sun and to the west is the silver moon; the colors of dusk and dawn prevailed throughout the Kingdom of Clouds as it is forever set in eternal twilight. It is here that Abares, the Sky God, resides. He can see everything around the world via the images appearing on several swirling clouds that surround him. A particular event that caught his attention is the sudden appearance of storm clouds gathering above Brightwing City. Only a fool would fail to recognize that this is a magically conjured anomaly. What's more, the god can tell on who is behind this: Himitsu.

He passed his hand towards the swirling vision and it zoomed in on Himitsu, looking outside through a window in the magical guild's library. He sees a bird talking to Himitsu. He sees the smug look on the priestess's face as she saw how it frightened the bird. The god thought that the bird does not believe she is a powerful magician, so she conjured the storm as a definitive proof of her abilities.

"Greetings, great and noble sky god Abares."

He suddenly looked west, where the silver moon is eternally trapped in moonrise. A wisp made of violet and blue clouds floated towards the god. Even if the apparition does not show any expressions, its voice is full of goading.

YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN MY DOMAIN, DELUBIYO.

The apparition laughed mockingly. "Oh please, Abares, I am not welcome anywhere as long as you are there. Besides, I came to discuss very important matters to you."

It floated above the vision where Himitsu is being talked to by the bird. "My, my, is this my new loyal subject? She seems very powerful, promising even, unlike your other priestesses."

YOU WILL NOT SPEAK OF HER THAT WAY. SHE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS. SHE IS SPECIAL.

"OF COURSE SHE IS, JUST LIKE WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE OTHERS!", the wisp jeered. Despite being made of clouds, it began to glow in violet light, purposely doing this to taunt the sky god. "You told them they are the chosen ones, feeding them with lies that they are the key to defeating the impending evil, and fill them with false hope. And you have spoken highly of these fair maidens, saying that they can resist the influence of the incoming darkness, yet they remain loyal to the death to me."

Abares floated to the other visions. The wisp followed the god to a vision showing two villages at war with each other, far from Brightwing City. "When will we stop this nonsense, Abares? No matter how special or powerful you think your priestesses are, if they cannot resist my temptations, they are worthless compared to the darkness."

The sky god looked east, where the golden sun is set in eternal sunrise, bathing the clouds in golden light. BECAUSE I DO NOT LOSE HOPE, DELUBIYO, the god said. I BELIEVE IN THE PROPHECY. IT HAS NEVER FAILED THE GODS BEFORE AND IT WILL NOT FAIL US NOW.

They both turned towards the vision where Himitsu is. Knowing that she won, she asked the bird for its help and it reluctantly agreed. After a few moments of talking, Himitsu's eyes began to widen in surprise.

"I do hope this is the one, Abares. Remember your oath, if you fail this time..."

I KNOW. I DO NOT FORGET, AND I ALSO DO NOT LOSE FAITH. SHE IS THE ONE.

The glowing apparition laughed, like it is seeing an adorable puppy playing with a toy. "You really haven't changed a bit, dear brother. You're still a stubborn, hard-headed, little brat. How adorable you are still." The apparition dissipated, leaving behind its amused laughter.

The sky god sighed and turned back to the silver moon. TIME HAS CHANGED US IN DIFFERENT WAYS, the god said absently, YOU OF ALL BEINGS SHOULD KNOW THAT, SISTER.
Hola, mi amigos, amigas, and everything in between.

1.) Four words: mother-freaking school and sorry. Hell Week has already passed, just a few exams and a project and I will be free all the time every time I get home from school. ^u^

2.) To whom it may concern, I would like to be a part of Dragon Fang but I have no clue on what city is it in. Can someone tell me where it is?

3.) I am fairly new to this kind of thing and I would like to know more about how to type and input stuff in here. For instance, how do ya put gifs in here?

4.) Pizza is life.
Ikki Yamanaka sat under a dead tree and put his satchel and guitar at his side. From his satchel, he brought out bread he has bought from the village he just passed from. After helping the baker's daughter fully heal from a dangerous fever, the parents of the girl showed so much happiness for what Ikki has done and gave him their finest breads as a sign of gratitude. Seeing the parents hug their now healthy daughter made him miss his family back home. He was grateful that the disease of the young girl wasn't near death yet, for he doesn't know how to help her parents if he was too late. If there's anything that his magic cannot heal, it is the pain of the heart. His neighbors back at home used to come to him for such problems, asking him to take away the pain they have felt from the departing of their loved ones whether by physically leaving or by death's hand. He hates disappointing anyone who is relying on him for so much.

One time, he ran crying to his parents, asking them on why he feels useless that can't he heal his friend's pain from the death of her father. His parents would look at him with melancholic smiles, while his father would say, "Our magic can only do so much, my son. We can heal their souls and bodies, but we cannot take heal their heart."

"W-w-why i-is that?", Ikki would say while crying.

His mother cupped her hands on her little son and said, "Because, little cherry blossom, we cannot influence the heart to forget, to heal, and to move on in an instant. Our hearts are the only piece of ourselves that are as limitless as the universe itself. The only one who can heal a broken heart is the person itself. I am very sorry we cannot explain it any further than we can, but what we can promise you, my son, is that all of this you can understand when the right time has come."

His parents would hug him afterwards. Indeed, he didn't understand a thing they've said, but they have kept their promise. He finally understood why he cannot heal a broken heart, but it didn't stop him from giving all of power in helping others.

He leaned back at the tree and looked up. Clouds have filled the morning sky and the sun peeks through whenever there's a hole through the clouds. He closed his eyes and meditated, reminiscing every moment he has made since leaving home. Months of travelling can make an adventurer such as himself become really tired. He began to smile at himself. He's officially become an adventurer! He used to hear about such people only from her parent's storytelling back when he was young. Travelling across the great desert, climbing the tallest mountains, exploring the deepest caves, battling ferocious monsters: that's the life for him. What he loves most about being an adventurer, however, is the people you meet along the way. He's always so fascinated to meet people of different culture and ethnicity, for he believes it will help him become a better person and have a more grand perspective of the world around him. Even if he has met various obstacles and troubles along the way, he has overcome them all with patience and virtue, two of the precious family values of the Yamanaka Clan.

He breathed in the fresh air. Finally, he got his ukulele and tuned it. He acquired the instrument when he spent his days with a travelling band. They were always so merry, laughing and sharing jokes around a campfire while eating. When they performed in a city, Ikki would always look at them and be amazed by how they can put smiles on the faces on everyone that would watch them. Even they themselves would laugh while they are performing, showing the townspeople that if there's always a chance for you to be happy, take that chance.

When he left the merry group, the leader decided to give him his ukulele as a token of gratitude and respect, and also to not let Ikki forget about them. In return, Ikki gave them one of the chimes that adorned his clothes as a reminder that he will be eternally grateful for the time they've spent together. A few tears were shed, but in the end they all bid farewell to each other with smiles on their faces, knowing that they would meet again one day.

Satisfied that his ukulele is on tune, he began to play it. Days of practicing playing this instrument really paid off, and Ikki is proud to call himself a professional ukulele player, if that's what you call it. Going along with the music, he began to sing:

"The sun is shining, full of light,
It makes our smiles shine as bright.
See all the vibrant flowers bloom,
It will wipe away all your gloom.

There's more to life than what meets the eye,
Our dreams of tomorrow exceeds the sky.
Let all our hearts be filled with love,
Love that reaches the stars above."

His parents would often praise him of having a beautiful voice, describing it as if life could sing, that would be it. He would always sing in the festivals of his hometown and the townspeople would marvel at his beautiful singing. This time though, he channeled his magic through his singing, and at the end of his song, he chanted. "Let my gratitude reach you dear tree. Live and prosper for a hundred years more. Arc of Life: Rejuvenation!"

Gold-colored energy swirled around the dead tree along with sakura petals. Its dark coloration began to turn into a healthy brown and leaves started to grow once more from its branches. Finally, the golden energy dispersed and the sakura petals settled on the ground around it, showing the majesty of the once dead tree. It grew bigger and taller than before, and anyone near it can feel the life emanating from the plant.

Satisfied with his work, he began to pack his things to leave when he heard a loud snap from a distance. Birds flew in panic from the source of the sound and Ikki quickly rushed to the place. When he got there, he saw a peculiar looking rabbit, its leg caught in a trap. Ikki could clearly see the creature writhing in pain. Acting quickly, he looked around the area for hunters and approached the creature with his knife in hand. He dismantled the trap as fast as he could without causing the creature more pain. When the rabbit was released, it's still in shock from the pain on his leg. Ikki put down his hand on the bunny's torso while his other hand hovering atop the wound on it's leg. He said, "Don't be afraid, little one, let me help you. Arc of Life: Healing Palm."

Energy in the form of a sakura flower bloomed on the wound while golden energy surrounded the whole leg of the rabbit. When it is done, the sakura and the golden energy dispersed, leaving behind the rabbit's leg fully healed like nothing has happened. Delighted, the rabbit jumped and, much to his surprise, flew around Ikki. He hasn't noticed before, but the rabbit is no ordinary rabbit for it has wings!

The flying rabbit nuzzled against Ikki and he laughed while stroking its fur. "You are welcome my friend. You are quite a fascinating creature yourself."

He heard shouting from a distance. No doubt those were the hunters who set the trap for the rabbit which caused it to be wounded. Alarmed, he turned to the creature. "Quickly my friend, fly away! It's too dangerous here!"

The flying rabbit didn't flew away. Instead, it settled on the ground and moved closer to Ikki. "Do you want to come with me?" The rabbit nuzzled him in response. "Alright, let's make a break for it. Go!"

Ikki ran away on the opposite direction of the incoming hunters while the rabbit flew at his side, his long pink hair trailing behind him. One thing about Ikki is his also a fast runner. Covering a few distances away from his foes is easy as pie for him. Fortunately, the rabbit seemed to quite fast in flying as well. As they fled, a nearby city began to appear in the distance. "Come on, my friend! To the city!"

@Shioban At least you came back, and that's all that matters ^u^
Ayo
Hi guys. Sorry guys.

I don't know how long I've been gone and I just want to say I'm really sorry I didn't notify y'all earlier. It's just that things moved so fast I had a hard time keeping up. I just posted to reassure you guys that I'm not dead (on the inside, yes) and everything's as fine as they can be (which is not entirely fine but is still an "okay" type of fine). I dunno how to explain it further to help you guys understand so to make it up to you, here's a gif of Hamtaro.
