Current It's been three years since we lost Polymorpheus, a dear friend. It's felt like a lot longer, that time. I still think about Poly every so often, and how I miss them so very much. I won't forget them.

Bio

uhhhh, hi there

I am here and I sorta exist so yes this is my ‘bio’ and it will probably be rather brief and suck and be sloppy, just like me.
So, without further ado..

stuff about me

Most people call me Barti or Bart as well as a few other things since it’s just easier or meaner than the actual thing - I invite you to do so as well.

I’m a 23-year-old (bday June 20th!) Texan who enjoys thunderstorms and rain far too much, and likes anime, running, metal music, and copious amounts of DRUGS candy, among many other cool things - like DnD and MTG.

I enjoy group rps as well as 1x1s. For groups I have what I think is a decent array of interests, most of it being profusely weeb-y. I like Fantasystuffs (Modern especially), supernatural themes, pretty much all Japanese stuff - including historically accurate settings - as well as general dark/grim themes, comedic slice of life trash, academy rps, unique plots, etc. etc. As for 1x1s I pretty much do romance, but I can do non-romantic stuff too if you give me something to work with xP
The only genre I find myself not entirely comfortable with is really sci-fi stuff, but, if the plot/idea catches me enough it can hold my interest. Oh, and my writing level is high casual to low advanced.

I’m a sarcastic, snarky, bipolar-depressed, degenerate garbage can, but generally people seem to like me (I don’t know why in the hot hell you would) - but if you would also like to be my friendo lemme know.
I don’t bite.
Usually owo xd rawr

welppp...I guess that’s okay for now
thanks for reading, you potatoes

Coolio. Wrote my bit x3
@Dark Jack I believe there is a small mistake in the collab - Raine grabbed the creature’s left arm that wasn’t wielding the saber. Not sure if you overlooked it or not but I imagine it’d want to be addressed if so
Wrote my bit in the collab @Dark Jack@Ashgan
@Ashgan@Dark Jack Wrote my bit for the collab.
Nice, more prospective players.
Onassis Daisuke
Location: Church of St. Aarya

There was a brief moment of silence after a heavy, iron-y clunk sound emanated from one of the hall’s several ancient-looking oak doors. It was only a short second later that the sound of old pieces of warping iron signaled the rotation of the door’s hinges, and a man in black clerical attire made his egress into the hall, pushing the thick oak to the side. The portal soon enough found itself coming to a close again, the oak thumping against the frame and the lock mechanism jostling in place as a dark-scaled glove rested against its equally as dark surface.

Father Onassis Daisuke turned to greet the rest of the ornate hall with his eyes - the hall greeting him in return with the warm bathing light of candles, and the soft aroma of various incense. He began his traversal down the hall, the tapping of his black leather shoes reverberating off the hard white tile as he shifted the manilla envelope and several documents he held between the ungloved fingers of his right hand. The father, despite how many times he’d walked these halls, always found the decor so beautiful. Whereas the floor was white, the walls were beige. This beige stretched across the entirety of the church’s innards, all the way up to the arched ceilings - the trim upon arches or around the bases of pillars a similar milkwhite to the floor, the orange bathing glow of candles making the place feel.. homey, to the priest. It made him feel warm, and as silly as it may sound to some, at peace. But he didn’t attribute that simply to the decor.

Where there were windows, a diffused, rosy light poured into the church, overpowering that of the candles and offering its own unique spots of tinted vision. But of course, natural light was not the only source of sight within the church - the stage of sorts where the reverends would preach was well lit fluorescently. As was the eastern wing of the church - where Onassis now found himself - which was where most of the legal work of the church was processed.

The priest found himself passing several doors, most being less ancient-looking than the thick oak one through which he had entered, until he approached one that read “Treasurer” upon a plaque. He let himself in, grasping the circular knob with his gloved hand and slipping into the room.

He was greeted by the sight of two men - one of whom looked to be in his late twenties, sitting at a desk with a pair of reading glasses on, penning away at some documents. The other was a fellow priest, an older man.

Onassis greeted them both with a smile and a nod, brandishing the documents in his hand. “Good evening, Father Tukani -- Mr. Unnamura.”

“Hello Father.” They replied, almost in unison.

Onassis stepped up to the younger man’s desk, gesturing towards the documents before dropping them lightly onto it. “I’ve got some donations here to be filed - Ms. Rikimura, Mr. Takiagata, a few others as well.”

“Very well. It’s good to see the residents of Mahoukyo are still so generous, even for an older congregation.” Mr. Unnamura, the Treasurer, responded.

“Indeed, Indeed.” Onassis agreed, nodding his head with a look of pleasure upon his features. It really was a delight, the generosity of those who donate. The church would be little more than a dilapidated corpse of a building if not for the maintenance funds provided by those who attended. “So, what are you men up to this evening?” He inquired, stepping back from the desk and leaning against one of the treasurer’s several bookcases.

The older priest spoke up now. “Aha, how kind of you to ask, young friend. My wife and I are going to have an outing this evening - a small group gathering. Actually, would you be interested in coming? I think you’d quite like it!” The man rattled on. He ended with an expectant look towards his younger counterpart.

Onassis allowed a small frown to befall his face, before making a gesture with his hand to the large clock sitting on the other end of the room. “While that does sound like a lovely event, I must apologize - I have prior commitments. A public health meeting, you could say.” He responded. His frown didn't last for long though, and a neutral yet pleasant look returned. “Although, I will definitely take you up on any other offers I have time for. But as of now-“ he continued, looking to the clock once again, “-I think I’ll need to be heading out soon - the meeting won’t wait.”

The two other men nodded to him, the both of them offering a smile and bidding the young reverend a farewell.

“Have a good evening, gentlemen.” He said, before the door closed with a slight click, back into its normal position.

Some time later, Reverend Onassis found himself in a warehouse, peering into a doorway that seemed slightly out of place. He soon entered nonetheless, his footsteps echoing out throughout the quite structure. He was soon relieved at the sight of Maylis and two men, one of whom he’d known to be her body guard, the other another member of the Isamu family under her.

“It is great to see you once again, Madam Maylis.” Nass greeted with a shallow bow and a smile, before nodding to the two other men in turn. “Mr. Rose - Mr. Dieter.”

Being as it would appear he was the first arrival, besides the three - assuming that there were more to come - the reverend found himself a seat nearby.
I do not mind collaboratives, so if you’d like to do that we can indeed.
Sure, I can post again. Mine would likely also be relatively short due to our situation at the moment - but it won’t be sitting in an elevator xP
Raine Provostus

Provostus remained speechless as the trio began the end of their ascent in the elevator, the mechanisms pulling and hauling the heft of the giant metal box along with its occupants. His eyes shifted to the face of his fellow hunter as he made some sort of statement to Adelicia - as if to explain himself. Raine new that what the other hunter said was true - there was no doubt about it. Beasts were just that - beasts. There was no reasoning with them, no befriending them, and especially no saving them. It’d be like saving a human from being human.

The two hunters grew visibly tense as the lift came to the end of its trek, Raine shifting his hand to the middle of his weapon and moving it up in front of him to grasp in both hands. The doors slid open as the duo prepared for any opposition that was on the other side. But the street was empty.

Raine lowered his weapon to his side as he confirmed with his own scan that the area seemed clear. In hindsight, allowing himself to relax so readily was a rookie mistake. He watched as his older companion stepped from the lift, continuing his explanation before suddenly being interrupted and letting out a choked shout.

Raine caught a flighting glimpse of the elongated, black claws that grasped the back of his ally’s hood - before they disappeared above the top of the elevator, accompanied by his companion. His instincts kicked in, the hunter stepping forward immediately at the disappearance of Victor, his weapon coming up into both hands as he heard the shot of the blunderbuss and the particles of the pellets hitting the stone in front of the lift. Raine stepped out of the metal box and turned, lifting and turning his head towards the top of it, only to be met with a flurry of movement as both Victor and the beast were launched in turn to the cobble below.
Provostus was quick to adjust, turning back towards the creature with his weapon help in both hands, extended in front of him towards his foe.

He stared at the black, tendril-covered beast, the glint of blood on its dark blade catching his eye. He looked over the long-limbed beast, his mind coming to remember its name and its nature. While he had not faced one of these beings in his many years as a hunter, being that they are seemingly quite rare, he had heard of their tales. But he wondered why it is now that he is seeing one before his eyes - in a territory not unknown to him.

His eyes shifted to Victor, behind the beast, lying quite a ways away. It had thrown him far - and judging by the blood upon its saber, had likely impaled him beforehand. But Raine didn’t pay it much mind. It was rare for a hunter to be felled in a single blow. But, that didn’t mean there was no caution to be had - any hunter could fall to any beast, should they forego it.

His eyes shifted back to the creature, leaving it for no more than a second or two. His right foot shifted sideways, followed by the rest of him as he slowly stepped away from the confines of the elevator, keeping his eyes locked on the beast.
Many a hunter were hyper-aggressive folk, but Raine was not one of them. One might say it’s because he’s been humbled by experience - or because he resists the beast-scourge’s aggressive nature - or even just due to his own nature - but the veteran hunter finds strength in a reactive fighting style; waiting for his beastly opponents to make a mistake - which they often do in their hunger-bound, untrained attacks - before making them pay for it.

His low, still-calm voice permeated the air as he slowly maneuvered, his knees slightly bent - ready to maneuver quickly.

“Adelicia, close the door.” He said, no hint of warning or inflection in his tone, “If it approaches you, or fells us both at once - hit the button.”

Adelicia, Victor
@Dark Jack Asking out of sheer curiosity...how far is the fall from the top of the elevator’s current sitting to the bottom? c:
