AM still thinking of a power... goddamm it rl lyfe
Super sense of smell. (I've done this, it's pretty fun) Control squirrels. Power over hair. (Also done this, also fun) Can tell when people are looking at them. Spontaneous coordinated dance numbers. (... Actually, I kinda want to do that now...) Immunity to stubbed toes. Appearance and physical characteristics of a walrus and/or platypus. Spits glue. Laser vision.
Say, anyone interested in working in a flower shop (In character, of course)? My character works in a flower shop.
That might work for a different character of mine, who I would otherwise have made the owner of a cafe. I'm toying around with whether or not I'll add him in now, or wait to see if Samuel dies off or something first.
Well, I'm pretty new here, so forgive me for butting in, but I personally imagine that a technopath trying to control your character would be basically the same as a psion trying to control a human character. Presumably Tribuo can control his own coding similarly to how a person can control their own thoughts and actions, and so could attempt to resist attempts to control or alter it in the same way a human might try to resist mind control, through willpower or the like, with the effectiveness depending on the strength of the technopath and how much effort they put into the power/subtlety of their control.
Name: Samuel Martin Capricorn Alias(s): None. He couldn't use one if he wanted to. Age: Twenty-six Affiliations: Neutral, though he's been known to do a bit of government and corporate contract work from time to time. Factions: Samuel likes the ideals that the Reformists are pushing, but doesn't believe that they'll be effective. He's not affiliated with either movement as of yet. Description:

Accepted, @Bastion!
Fantastic, thank you!

I hope that this is alright! Let me know if I need to edit anything!
<Snipped quote by NarcissisticPotato> I imagine at least a few factions would be willing to use some pretty underhanded tactics to acquire someone with that power...I'm kind of picturing an outright fight for him now actually.
Oh my! I can't decide whether he would love that or hate it. Probably a bit of both, depending upon how they went about it.
Anyhow, I digress. In answer to your questions, Bastion, Metahumans make up about 0.5% of the population or around that number. They're spread out though so their population density isn't overly high. Exceptions are big cities like LA, New York or Washington. Yes, powers are completely heretical. As I mentioned in the OP, the government were involved in something called Project Genesis in which they tried to breed Metahuman super-soldiers using two powerful metas. That power you proposed actually sounds really cool! I imagine such a character would be valuable to any side!
Well thank you! In that case, I think I might write him up, and then possibly fall back on one of my other characters if anything... ah... untoward were to happen to him.
They have a guy who turned people into chocolate, so I think your good
Hahaha, well alright then! :D
Thank you very much! I don't know if I'll be doing a legacy Meta or not, but that's useful information either way. I'm glad that folks are open to questions, because I have a fair few of them, and if experience tells me anything, it's that I'll only find more as things move along. Right now I'm trying to decide whether one of my possible characters' powers would work within this setting, since abilities appear to based more on science than the supernatural. To put it very simply, his ability is to detect knowingly made lies/untruths, regardless of the medium (voice, writing, text, phone, recording, etc, if he can understand the message, he can tell whether it's true or not) and to render people incapable of knowingly conveying anything untrue whenever they're interacting with him. On the downside, it renders him completely incapable of ever telling a lie himself. I'm wondering if that sort of power would be okay in this setting?
