The Last Van Helsing

"A little after ten, still enough time to grab some food before hitting the road." Sam replied as he packed his laptop into his backpack. He raised an eyebrow at his brother's choice of sleep wear but didn't say anything. If Dean was comfortable in it, who was he to judge?

"Apparently the town hasn't had any problems before, just a boring place until these disappearances started happening. Something must have moved in not too long ago."

Sam returned to the hotel room he and his brother were currently sharing, not really caring if his brother was still upset at the fact he uprooted him from a normal life with Lisa and Ben. For them, normal was something they'd never obtain. Especially now that Sam didn't have a soul.

"Hey, wake up, I found something in a town not too far away." He said, shaking Dean's shoulder. He walked over to grab his bag to pack up. "People have been going missing, some of them coming back drained of blood. Could be vampires."

Personality: Kind, caring, intelligent, a little weary of outsiders but soon warms up to them, little goofy, can be serious

History: Sam is the youngest of the two brothers, having no memory of his mother's death or what caused it until he was older. Because of John being gone on a hunt, Sam grew a close bond with Dean which has yet to be broken. He eventually left hunting behind to become a law student and even had a girlfriend he loved. Unfortunately, she died before his eyes, sending him back into hunting with his brother to avenge her death. Now that he unintentionally released Lucifer, he has no choice but to find a way to stop him.

Personality: smart, untrusting of others, comes off tough but she's still a kid who knows how dangerous the world is, especially given her surname

History: Evie grew up unaware of her bloodline until her parents were murdered when she was four, causing her guardian to take in the orphan and teach her everything about her family while keeping her safe. Evie learned quickly but still wasn't ready for a true hunt despite knowing how to deal with most things. Now the tensions have risen as her and her guardian have been spotted and are being closely followed.

Sam and Dean have had it rough over the years; losing their mother at young ages, trained by their father in the ways of hunting, ending the Yellow Eyed Demon at the cost of their father's life, and now dealing with an angel along with Lucifer walking the earth.

The two are trying to catch a break while trying to figure out how to put Lucifer back into the Cage when a startling surprise appears in the form of a teenage girl who happens to be the last living descent of Abraham Van Helsing. Unfortunately for her, there's a high bounty placed on her throughout the supernatural world.

Personality: A little strange but quirky, definitely an odd air about her, kind and loyal to her friends, fascinated with the world akin to seeing it for the first time or through a child's eyes

Interests: wiccan herbology, crystal healing, tarot cards, anything of gothic literature especially Poe, mystery/who done it novels including Sherlock Holmes, thunderstorms, sketching or writing her own poetry

Dislikes: people calling her a witch or what she practices is witchcraft, bullies especially if they go after her friends

Appearance: a mix of gothic aesthetic along with modern wiccan. Mostly black or earth toned colors. Hoop earrings and a protective pentacle charm necklace. It's actually a surprise she's gotten away with it at the school. She's an average height girl with warm brown skin, dark chocolate eyes, and curly violet hair.

History: Marcy grew up in London with a well off family but unfortunately never had much contact with her parents as they were kept busy with work. She never made much friends growing up as her kind demeanor would get her teased. It wasn't until she turned twelve that she became interested in wiccan practices and started down her path to find which one suited her. Her parents never knew of her practices until her father found her tarot deck. Horrified their child was studying witchcraft, they sent her away to Vinehurst Academy in hopes of squashing it out of her.

It ended up not working as she practiced in secret, learning her path was split into three each she studied in. Now a senior, she's noticed the number of students missing slowly rising and fears the worst for those still alive.

Personality: sweet, shy, a little soft spoken, a little socially awkward around others, reclusive until others help her out of her shell

Interests: anything artistic, forensic science, first aid and medical education, animals

Dislikes: people mispronouncing her name or teasing her because of it

Appearance: On the petite side of 14, mostly wears warm sweaters, never without her satchel or sketchbook, long loosely wavy brown hair, and bright hazel eyes.

History: Luíseach grew up in Ireland before moving to London a month after she turned 13. The change was difficult for her as she tried fitting in with others her own age, but more so when she was teased about the way her name was spelled. She became reclusive and stopped socializing with others.

Her parents heard about Vinehurst and signed Luíseach up for her freshman year in hopes she'd make at least some friends. She's just arrived at the school, new, alone, and an easy target to frighten with the disappearances of students.

"Thank you, Father Walters. Once I find a place for us where Lucas and I will be safe, we'll be out of your hair. For now, this is our safe haven." She said with a soft sigh. She glanced at Lucas, seeing a little hope in his eyes. "Well, I better start reading those books."

"I know the dangers and I'm not afraid." Evie said before smiling at Lucas as he offered to teach her. Had someone told her she'd be a guardian of an angel demon exorcist, she would have thought they were insane. "You teach me how to exorcise demons, and I'll help you with your sign language. Deal?" She grinned.

Evie thanked him for the bottle before looking back at Lucas. Father Walters' words hung around her for a moment as she stood there. Was she really going to do this despite knowing the dangers which accompanied it? "I'll be his keeper." She found herself saying.

"He has no one else who's gone through this aside from me. I'll give up journaling to protect him. I'll learn how to exorcise demons so I can at least do something to help. I'm not blind to what's out there anymore."

"This was the only place I could think of where we'd both be safe." Evie said before showing the scar on her arm and explaining how she obtained it. "I used my holy water to help Lucas fight what was once Damien. I didn't remember it was protecting me until we were at the hotel." She said before looking over sadly at Lucas.

"Who's going to be his keeper now that Isaac's gone?"
