Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

Right now we are at 6 people I believe, assuming everyone who has said they will be joining does in fact join. If you and a friend join that will bring us up to 8 primary members which will probably be the maximum, so if you do join that'll probably be where we cut off further applications.
IC, OOC, and Character Registration are up here

We have a good sized group now. If you join Torack we'll have about 6 people.
GUILD MASTER

Name: Artura Saorise

Age: 47

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Class: Knight

Picture Reference:

Physical Description: Strong, powerful, and stout. Even out of her armor she is an imposing powerhouse of raw loving rage. At least that's people's first impression of her pretty often. Stories spread wide of the great Artura Saorise, leader of the Kingdom Genesis guild, so people expect her to be like a Goddess. In reality, she's far from it and once people get to know her, they find she is very much human, albeit a tall, strong human. She stands just over six feet tall.

Personality: Strict, Domineering and Controlling to a protective fault, but kind, gentle, and loving to all of her guild. Like a mother to all, literally to some... okay one. She puts her guild first and foremost, even before her own life. That is the reason behind her taking up such a protective combat style. She is on the front line, making the enemy attack her, not her guild, not her family.

Extra Details: She founded the guild, and has lead it since. Whether one is a new member or old, she demands a great amount of respect for leading a successful guild for such a long time and doing quite a bit through the guild in the way of protecting the Kingdom from minor, and major threats.
Kingdom Genesis

A guild dedicated to the defense of the Kingdom, be it from wild boars, rampaging orcs, or invading black dragons. The guild takes all requests to defend the land. That being said, there are only so many members, so a quest may take time to find someone who will take it on. A suitable reward assures that it will be worth someone's time regardless of the amount of effort it requires. In other words... do quests, get money. Simple, right?

But there is more to the guild than simply doing jobs around the land for some gold coins. The guild is a family. Each member of the guild, a member of that family. Everyone fights for each other, for the guild, for that family. Everyone has to have heart to be in this guild, or you simply just don't belong. There's no hard asses here who are too tough for emotions. Nobody who just comes around for jobs and gets to ignore the other side of being a part of the guild. It's a family... not a job hub. Remember that.

Here's some mood music for the world.

Kingdom Genesis Theme Song
For now, I'm leaving the first OOC post as a simple copy and paste of the interest check with the added details of the character application at the bottom.

IC:

Set in the fantasy Kingdom of Ellahn, within the city of Verom, The Guild is a place where adventurers from all over gather as a family. They protect the kingdom from evils and nuisances alike. The guild takes up all kinds of quests around the Kingdom from stable sweeping to dragon slaying. Not that Dragon slaying is a common thing in this land. Quite the contrary, but more on that later.

The guild is before anything else, a family. All rights to join the guild, and even partake in the quests is easily denied if one doesn't have the heart to be a part of it. To put it in the words of another, "Comrades" isn't just a word. It refers to heart, and believing in each other unconditionally.

OOC:

Let me just get this out of the way, not just in case anyone already knows this but because I believe the original creator deserves the credit. The names of the Kingdom/cities are not my own, nor is the map we will be using for this RP. The map was created by Shadversity for a friend's D&D campaign. Shadversity by the way, is a Youtuber. Not another person on this forum. At least, I don't think they are here. It's a very high quality map in my opinion, and I like it. If I could change the names around at least I would but, I don't have the kind of ability to do that. Either way, everything beyond the map itself and the names it uses will be original. But Shadversity deserves the credit for creating the map, and of course the friend he made it for who made the original map layout. If this is a problem, obviously we can come up with something else. But the world is far more easily understood with a good map and this one is very easy to understand.

Now on with the show.

I have tried to do this RP before, however it was on a site that focused on more sexual oriented things than story. Not that the site was entirely sex driven, but let's just say more people were joining up in the RP to meet erotica partners than they were for the story. Which is why I think this RP will do much better here.

The basis of this RP is that all members of the RP are members of a guild. This guild is heavily inspired by Fairy Tail, in that it's family oriented, everyone is friends and if you do anything to harm the guild you will be banished from it, should it be unforgivable. This guild is not a job, people don't simply come in and sign up for work. If you don't have a good heart, you aren't meant for the guild, it's as simple as that.

Within the guild is a quest board which will be on the front page of the RP thread at all times. I will regularly fill it out with quests ranging from rank 1 to 5. All guild members will start out at rank 1 and as they complete quests and as they progress through the main story, they will gain adventuring ranks. A member's Adventuring Rank decides what quests they can and can't take on. For example, a rank 2 adventurer cannot take on a rank 3 quest. However, if the rank 2 adventurer takes a rank 1 adventurer with them, then they can do the rank 3 quest. The limit is 2 ranks above, where a rank 1 can only ever take part in up to rank 3 quests unless they are mentored, which requires a guild member of the quest's rank to go along. In other words, a rank 1 adventurer can partake in a rank 1, 2, or 3 quests, as long as there are enough guild members whose ranks add up to the rank of the quest. However, a rank 1 adventurer cannot partake in a rank 4 quest unless a rank 4 guild member takes them, and the same with a rank 5 quest requiring a rank 5 adventurer to take anyone below rank 3. It's simple, really.

These quests will earn your character money, which as an advanced player I would like for people to take this into account as they play and not act like they have infinite money and all the best gear in the world. Doing quests will also earn you rank xp which will raise your rank in time to do more difficult but more rewarding quests.

Participation in quests however is not required. Not only will you gain rank xp from taking part in the primary over arching storyline, but your rank will not matter for the main storyline. It will certainly play a part, but you aren't going to be left behind if you stay as a rank 1 member. So don't worry about thinking you have to take part in the main RP AND the quests. Quests are completely voluntary and optional. They will not impact your participation in the story except for your character's level of skill, equipment, and wealth.

The over arching story now, will be focused on greater threats in the world and working together as a guild entirely. The story will unfold as we work it out together. It will be slightly GMd by me, but any plot points are open as really only the main final goal is set in stone. Which will come about later.

Here's some mood music for the Demon War.

Hundreds of years prior to the events of The Guild, demons invaded the world. Their incursion came from a large land mass south of Ellahn, which apon their arrival was shattered into many small islands. The sky opened up and demons poured out into our world. The only thing capable of fighting them back was the dragons in their infinite wisdom. However, the dragons were peaceful and had not been at war for thousands of years. They were not ready for such a war, and they needed aid. In their desperation, they turned to the mortal races. Man, Elf, and Dwarf.

The dragons gave the gift of Dragon's Fire to the mortals, a powerful essence which when forged properly crafted powerful weapons. The essence was given to the Dwarves who perfected the craft and created many powerful weapons, from guns to cannons, and many other technological marvels. Their economy and civilization exploded and progressed, and the mortals took up arms against the demons. With their aid, the demons were pushed back through the breach and it was closed forever, sealing off the demons from this world. However, that wasn't entirely true as the breach remained open slightly. While the demons could not come through the breach, the two worlds were forever connected. A massive spiraling hurricane darkening the skies over the shattered isles a reminder that demons had access to the world.

Seeing a demon within the world of mortals became unthinkable. If one were to be seen again, it would be the beginning of the end times and a sign that the demons were returning. Needless to say, seeing a single demon within the mortal world is the same as seeing Satan himself rising from hell. It is the worst possible thing that can happen, ever.

Since then dragons have become scarce, rumors of a civil war leaving them drained spreading throughout the world. These rumors are more believable with the more recent arrival of black dragons, a species of dragons who attack anything in sight, have a hatred of mortals, and instead of breathing fire they breath a dark, shadowy plague. Rumor has it they are a race of corrupted dragons who were overtaken by hatred after the demon war, as they believed giving the Dragon's Fire to the mortals was a mistake, and an insult to dragon kind. Their hatred caused them to cast off their own fire and take up a much more sinister power, a power that corrupted them and drove them insane.

While dragons are revered as saviors of the mortal world, even the dragons themselves recommend slaying these black dragons on sight, as they will bring only ruin and corruption to your land.

Available Races:

Human - The pinnacle of civilization. They spread their cities and villages across the globe and colonized every corner they could. The only ones who live in massive sprawling cities of stone and steel, they are your stereotypical fantasy knights.

Dwarf - Short, stout, bitter. Obsessed with their beards, they're exactly what you expect in a dwarf. They live in the mountains and fear the sky, believing going outside will cause you to fall up. They are masters of the forge and spend their lives digging deeper and stronger tunnels. They don't originate from Ellahn however, and instead their homes are to the north in the mountains of Ytora.

Elf - Quiet, secluded, mysterious. The elves separate themselves from civilization and live in their woodland homes within the forest north of the human city of Verech. Their population is small, but those who are counted among their numbers are extremely skilled at what they do. Each elf dedicates their life to a craft and sticks with it. Venturing beyond the trees is rare, but as with every race, there are always oddities. The elves also reject the use of Dragon's Fire, knowing the risk it has to their great forest. Once again however, there are always oddities.

Dragonkin (Only one of these will be in the guild, and someone is already interested in making one. These are after all an extremely rare race.) - An odd race created during the demon war, a show of kinship between the dragons and mortal races. Dragonkin most resemble elves or humans with distinct dragon features ranging from claws, scales, and horns to glowing eyes, wings, and tails. They are revered by many for their dragon kinship in the same way the dragons were, having played a major role in the demon war. They are also quite tall, usually towering over humans by a couple feet at least.

Expectations From Participants:

Be active and know for sure this is something you want to be a part of. I would like to have regular posts from everyone. Too many RPs die from something as simple as inactivity. If you have to drop, say so. If you can't post for a while, let us know. But don't make us sit around for days on end waiting for a post.

Advanced to me doesn't mean giant multi paragraph posts. Advanced to me suggests a greater understanding of grammar and writing to a point you can much better display the actions of your character through words. You respond to everything given to you, don't ignore things, would never godmod or anything. Trustworthy and skilled are far more important traits than character count in a post.

The group size will likely hover around 6 people for the core group. However, parttime characters are completely welcome, in which you can make a character for The Guild and do quests on them whenever you want a nice little fantasy adventure, but as a parttime member you have no intention of being involved in the main story. As a primary member, taking part in the main story is mandatory. Quests, are not.

Character Application:
We have reached 7 members and that's where I'm going to close registration for now for main members.

Send the sheet to me in a PM and I will accept or decline it. When you have my approval, you can post it in the Characters section. Please do not post Character Applications here in the OOC.

Hi, I'm Bell. I'm a writer, at least self-proclaimed. I've been out of RP for a while due to people messaging me, saying they wanted to RP, we go through the entire discussion of how the RP will start, who our characters are, the idea behind the RP and the general plot for us to begin with. And then one or two posts in, I never hear from them again.

Now I'm not perfect. I've missed messages before somehow and ended up not responding only to much later realize "Oh, I thought I replied to this... I thought it was THEM not responding." But typically when that happens I get little more than one message from the person and they wait for a response until they give up. If I ever don't respond... just send me another message prodding me for my attention. Chances are I missed your message somehow.

That being said, if you don't have much time to be active... if you're going on vacation for the holidays... if you already have too many RPs going... if you are only 'kind of' interested... DO NOT MESSAGE ME. This is the part where I point out to you there's probably a test in here somewhere. "Oh but what's the point of having a 'include this if you saw it' in the post if you are going to say somewhere else it's in there." Because even if you know about the test it's going to make you pay attention to what is in this post more looking for the test.

ON WITH THE SHOW

I'm looking for anime based fandom RP. I have a select few animes I'm interested in and ideally would like to avoid multiple RPs in one fandom. So I will do my best to mark any off that I start with someone, and then add back when I inevitably never hear from someone again. #Triggered

Seriously though, I'm open to playing either OCs or Canons, though including Canons in some way is preferred. I am only interested in FxF though, and romance is highly preferred. Also I should note that if the relationship is to be a sort of 'dominant/submissive' sort of thing, I usually play the dominant. At least, in a more erotic setting. As far as normal romance goes I sometimes lean towards the weaker more submissive character who needs protecting. Hey by the way, this is as good a place as any to put the test, since this is the crap people seem to always not read. If you read this, include the phrase "One day I was walking and I found this big log. Then I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick. And I was like, that log had a child." in your PM to me. I'm going to include the pairings I'd like to do, and I'll just point out right now that the character listed first is the one I want to play. So here goes. (Note that I'm open to multiple pairings. For example, I have a lot of pairings listed in Fairy Tail where I play Erza and you play someone else. I'd love to play multiple pairings in the RP.) Also, these are in no particular order of desire. Though ones I have a special interest in I'll mark with a * (I just held shift and clicked across the numbers in the dark trying to find that freaking key.

Fairy Tail:

Erza x Lucy
Erza x Juvia
Erza x Mirajane
Erza x Levy
Juvia x Lucy*
Levy x Lucy*
OC x Lucy
OC x Juvia

Gurren Lagann:

Nia x Yoko
OC x Yoko
Yoko, Yoko Yoko Yoko, Yoko, Yoko. I guess everyone else was kinda side characters, huh?

Sekirei:

I honestly don't even know where to start with this one on who I would play, who I'd like others to play... The only specific one I can come up with is:

OC x Tsukiumi
Oc x Harem (Duh)

Kantai:

I just want to play as Iowa, okay? Don't judge me. Also this one requires a lot of knowledge... I'm somewhat of a nut for this one over the last couple months. Don't care about the game or anime either. I've just become obsessed with World War I/II things. Actually, there are three pairings I would love...

Iowa x Yamato
Iowa x Kongo
Iowa x Bismarck

D Gray Man:

OC x OC
OC x Lenalee

Angel Beats:

OC x OC

Naruto:

Hah, I'm kidding.

PARTNER REQUIREMENTS:

Here are the rules you must be able and willing to follow to be my RP partner. Does it feel like you're building up the quivering excitement inside you yet? Are you shaking in anticipation to find out if you are capable, and worthy of being MY RP partner? If so chill out I don't think this or I am any sort of big deal to warrant that kind of reaction out of you. If not, then I think you're probably an averagely normal person.

1. Be active. I'm not expecting you to follow along with me and post responses within minutes of my own posts. But I am going to be very active and I will likely be posting many times a day. I would prefer someone who can do something close to that and post multiple times a day. I get bored of a RP extremely fast if I only get say, one response a day or something. Because a couple weeks down the line and we're still in the first scene of the RP... it builds up a lot to look forward to, and a slowly growing sense of dread that I'll die of old age before we get there.

2. Long-Term only. If you are looking for a quick little side plot then please don't message me. I'm only interested in long-term story with many arcing plots that tie in together. That's not to say everything will be 100% story driven. There will be a lot of romance for the sake of romance, a lot of fighting for the sake of fighting, and things like that. For example, in Fairy Tail our characters will likely take random quests that have no relevance to the main plot we are following. Why? Because we're having fun.

3. Be open minded. I tend to dislike partners with too many limits as I feel too confined. When the limits go too far in my mind, I start feeling like I'm walking through a minefield where any little thing I do can end up causing the RP to explode and it turn into a drama fest of disinterest. If you're one of those "I only fade to black. And I never include this. And don't even think about bringing that up." people, don't message me, we won't work out. I have few limits myself and I can discuss them rather quickly so that you understand fully what is absolutely on the no list.

4. No fading to black. Okay this isn't a requirement. I'm willing to sacrifice smut for a good RP partner. Honestly... who wouldn't. But I'm going to say right now that if you are open to playing out any sex that might happen then so am I. We can discuss that in more detail in private however, as there are details and preferences that should probably be known on both sides before we try anything like that..

5. PMs only. This one is two in one. First, I only RP in PMs. I don't do thread RP unless it's a group thing and, well, this is 1x1 and could possibly include some themes and scenes which are unfit for public viewing in this place. Second, only contact me through PMs. If you post here in this thread asking questions or saying "I'm interested PM me" then I'm not going to respond to you at all probably. If you can take the time to go down and post a message telling me to PM you, then YOU can PM ME. Seriously, I typed up this entire ad thread, the least you can do is put your interest forward directly. I made the interest check thread, so I'm the one fishing here! I'm not going to be biting your "PM me" hook. You need to be the one biting my hook, since I'm the one fishing for partners here!!!
Do you understand the comparison I am doing here? Because I'm not sure I do!

6. Have some personality. I get so creeped out and bored when people just feel lifeless in boring in every message they send. Like RP is a business and they're some official. It makes me feel like you're always upset or, just like with the rule about being open minded, anything I do might set you off. So please, I'm here to have fun and spend time with friendly people. Show me you're here to do the same. RP is a fun pastime that can be taken seriously in a variety of ways without turning into a joke. So scowling all the time and just kind of grunting your responses through text isn't required.

That's about it. If you made it this far include the phrase "Wtf was that last phrase you made me type out" in your PM to me. Maybe I'll answer you if you mention that you are legitimately curious. And I'll open a whole new world in your mind.

I'm going to keep this short.

I'm looking for a partner to explore the Star Wars universe with. I'm mostly looking for a romance 'adventure' RP between either two Jedi Knights, or a Jedi Master and a Padawan set in the Clone Wars Era. So basically, either equal knights who can fight side by side, or, me playing the Jedi Master who is constantly teaching a younger Jedi many things (But a Padawan still old enough to be romantic with)

I'd mostly be interested in doing many different plots going through the story, such as tracking down a cartel on Coruscant, and then after that moving to help clone forces take a system, and just back and forth between the really combat intensive things and the more story focused things like tracking down big name criminals and general peace keeping.

I'm looking for a partner who is willing to commit long-term and not be like 99% of people I've RPd with here and after a few messages just completely stop responding and never contact me again. I'm also looking for someone who can post multiple times a day and is very active, as I am going to be from now on. I'm a bit tired of getting 2-3 partners, none of them responding after the RP starts even though they are clearly doing other things, and then my drive is shattered because of that, and 2 months later I finally have the will to RP again only for it to happen again...
Female RPer seeking any gender for a Sci Fi / Fantasy World Building RP. Prefer females but open to anything.

What is a world building RP you ask? Don't take it literally. Many people I suggest this to seem to think it's a RP where our characters build worlds and whatnot. This isn't the case.

A World Building RP by my definition is a RP in which me and my partner come together to create entire worlds and stories that take place on them. Our space faring characters will travel from world to world, and when they arrive on a new planet it is up to us as the writers to decide the necessary things. What kind of planet is this? Earth Like? Water World? Lava Planet? Reference pictures? What kind of creatures live here. What are the people of this world like. And then, what problems do they have that our characters can assist with?

The Setting:

Imaging Fable Meets Mass Effect. Our characters are labeled heroes, which seems to mean they aren't exactly human. They are capable of wielding powerful magic, and having access to ancient relics and weapons nobody else could ever possess. Much like Fable, a 'Hero' is like a certain race of human, chosen by the powers that be to wield magic in a time of need.

Earth is in chaos. A tyrant has taken over with a massive army of machines that, due to his secret weapon, are so organized, so perfect, so flawless, that the war against them was over before it began. Now nothing more than a meek little rebellion exists to face this tyrant and his perfect world. The other alien races, while they still trade with humans and some even live on Earth, refuse to get involved. Mind you it's different for the ones who live here, but there's certainly no alien fleets in orbit fighting for us.

So then it's up to an unlikely band of heroes to escape Earth, and seek aid. They must travel to different worlds, making friends, earning allies, and build up a loyal army willing to help take back Earth. Time is short, as the rebellion will soon be crushed and once that happens Earth will be turned into a fortress world. There is no doubt no fleet could get close to a world intent on locking itself away to build an unstoppable force.

Notes:

Romance would be loved, especially something worked into rather than already existing. Pairings I would like to do are as follows: (I play the ones in bold if the roles differ. If neither is bold then I don't have a preference.)

Best Friends
Rivals/Enemies
Complete Strangers Recently Made Friends
Security Guardian/Person Needing Security
Mother/Daughter
Sisters

Yes, I am open to incestuous romance. It's far in the future. A different times. Certain things are acceptable that aren't today. Maybe it's still taboo. Either way, I'm open to it.

The ones I would like to do most are the rivals with a sort of reluctant partnership that grows quickly into a romance as they spend more time around one another, always trying to hate each other but never truly being able to. And Sisters would be second, self explanatory.

Smut is also allowed, but should not in any way be the focus or drive of the RP. It should be something done on the side during downtime.

Note: Romance and smut are best left to FxF pairings for me. I'm not all that big on FxM romance pairings and I only play females. (I'll just put a shameless extra note here that I typically play so called 'girls with a little extra')

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

This is something you need to read before you consider messaging me to partake in this RP.

For the first say, two 'chapters' of the RP what will happen is fairly set in stone. How it happens, how your character goes about the things involved and how they react to the situations that come up are entirely up to you. But the first two chapters as introductions are already planned out. This will include Earth and the escape from it, as well as the first planet that is visited. Beyond that, the world is an open canvas, and just to take a break from my partner feeling like they have no control, if they wish I'd be open to them building the second world themselves.

Also... this RP is going to be kinda mech heavy. While our characters won't have mechs 24/7 it is their main weapon and main way to fight major battles. So if you aren't into things like Gundam, might not be the RP for you.

What I'm looking for:

Someone who is very active. I typically like a partner that I can just respond to all day long and get a regular flow of replies. I'm typically available all day long most days, because my life is boring and I have no responsibilities and no life. (Note: That is not true and I do have responsibilities including a job.)

I understand RP can't be a person's entire life. I also understand that my RP probably won't be the only RP you are partaking in. So I understand that people can't jump on a reply every time I send one out. But I am looking for someone fairly active, and who has plenty of time on their hands.

I also need a dedicated partner. Someone who knows this is something they want to do, not a 'maybe it might be fun to try'. I am in this for the long haul, please come with the same attitude. No droppers... I am so tired of droppers. I know I've done my fair share of disappearing on people without a word when I was unable to give any (All the times I recall dropping people were when I had to disappear for months on end). However, I am looking someone who will stick with this RP to the end. This RP could go on for years if we want it to, so if that's a story you want to be a part of and are willing to put in the effort to be a part of it, then send me a message.

PLEASE PM ME. I will simply not respond to replies to this thread, as it means you are not capable of reading this post the entire way through and just that tells me you probably don't have the dedication I am looking for. O even made it simple for you and underlined it and put it in bold. Should I change the color too? Or maybe make it a picture?
