I'll note that in this world a common technology is hard light, which is what most weapons would be made out of due to the fact they can make perfect, self repairing blades. Had Light is also the most common form of ammunition for projectile weapons.

For a power level, starting out should be around say, Genji in Overwatch at most? General strength of characters such as Tracer, Genji, Soldier 76, characters like that. If you don't know Overwatch, then abilities such as being able to move short distances in a flash, temporary invisibility, and all that are fine.

Ever since humanity first made contact with aliens, technology has been catapulted forward. Media had always speculated how such an event would affect mankind, but none of them quite got it right. Nobody could comprehend just how far humanity would go in such a short time. One hundred years after first contact, and life is entirely unrecognizable to what it was before. Mankind's technology is that of dreams. Sickness is a thing of history, where even the worst of ailments able to be treated in an instant free of charge at a public healing station. Food is cheap and homeless simply don't exist.

That's what they want you to believe, anyways. Humanity hides its shame beneath a surface layer of wealth and power. Massive structures that reach into the sky, and roads and walkways that appear to be the surface. But lower, much lower, life is worse than ever. People live in shacks built from scrap, hunger and plague run rampant, and their cries go unheard as one by one, they pass away.

There is only one way to get out of the slums... and that, is to join the AGSF. This organization is a global peacekeeping group that most would simply call assassins and mercenaries. That would be, if anyone knew they existed.

Each member of AGSF is hand picked from the slums. The toughest, who have been raised by the world around them, thriving on the freedom they are given. Standing above the rest and making something of themselves without the privilege of the world above. These people are approached, offered a place within AGSF, and if they accept, they are transported to the city above where they are given a new life. They are placed into life as if they were always there. Given a home, a name, clothes and food, whatever they could desire. But the price, is that they lose their freedom.

People have many reasons for joining AGSF. Perhaps a loved one is sick, or perhaps they are simply tired of living in the underworld of society. Whatever the reason, they give their life gladly to the organization, and are given no opportunity to look back.

Within the AGSF, a team of five elite is assembled. This team is given a mission, and sent on their way. The missions range from target assassination to item acquisition. They get in, and get out before their time limit runs out. When the mission is complete, they are brought back to headquarters and scored based on their performance. Higher team scores mean the difficulty of their missions rises, while higher individual scores allow them to be given new equipment that would otherwise be restricted. And then, they are released to go back to their lives, until they are needed again.

This becomes their life, and when a member dies, they are replaced before the next mission. It's dangerous, and nobody is expected to survive. They are simply given a good life in the meantime.

But perhaps, this team will be different...

This RP idea is a mix from a bunch of different ideas. First and foremost the idea is based off of the anime/movie series Gantz. But you don't need to know anything about it to be a part of this, as it's based off it, but is still intended to be its own thing. The RP will also draw from other sources such as the League of Legends "Project" setting, and things such as Tron.

The term "Hyper Sci Fi" is intended to mean a setting that is so seeded in Sci Fi that the world has reached a level of technology where people can be turned into data and transferred elsewhere, turn objects into data such as weapons and armor, and the entirety of Earth is one massive city.

The RP will include missions as well as time spent in between missions, as the group lives in a single home together. This RP is designed in such a way that people can come and go from the RP, so if we end up having people drop from the RP or stop responding, we can easily say they died on a mission, and a new member to the RP is their IC replacement.

LF Partner for Specific RP Idea (FxF)

So this might sound a bit out there but...

I'm looking for a partner for something a little odd. It's a very specific idea, and while not unheard of it's pretty strange in its own right. I can't really put the idea out here but let me give you a small idea of things to expect. If these things don't turn you away then feel free to send me a PM for more information, but if you don't like any of these things I bring up, this RP probably isn't for you.

This RP will include:

Playing Multiple Characters (Both of us will)
Incestuous Themes (Mother/Daughter scenarios to be specific)
Teacher/Student Pairings (Going Both Ways)
Ageplay (Mother/Daughter sort of implies a younger girl and older woman pairing but I understand it doesn't directly tell you that the daughter is underage.)
Adultery (Some of the story involved with this RP will revolve around married characters, and sneaking around.)
Girls With Some Extra (Inquire for what this means if you don't understand, I'm trying to be civil and subtle here. Played by me, by the way.)

So what am I expecting from you as a partner? Well that's simple really.

I want someone active. I would prefer to RP throughout the day instead of one post a day so please offer at least that much. I know people are often very busy with the world outside of this site, but I'm looking for a partner who has the free time to focus on me.

I want someone literate. You don't have to be perfect, not many people are when it comes to writing. But please at least be fluent in English. I'm not going to freak out because of some mistakes, but if it's clear you outright don't know how to spell some things and don't even know how sentences work, it will just bug me too much.

I want someone dedicated. I know RP is hard to keep together. And trust me, I know the feeling of one day being all excited for a RP and the path the story is going to follow and everything, and suddenly the next you forget it exists or simply don't care anymore. I have been there... but please, come into this RP with dedication and wanting to stick it out, and understand if you want to change things up, you can talk to me about that. I might just so happen to want the same.

You might be saying "Gosh that sure does sound like a pretty adult-driven RP there!" And okay, yeah, sure, you might not exactly be wrong about that, but that's just another thing you have to be okay with. You want story? Well, I'm not opposed to story, this is just my cup of tea at the moment of writing all this.

Chapter 1: Kingdom Genesis Mobilizes

Of course, as Gareth and Silvia passed the edge of the ring they would be restored to being just as healthy and fit as they were when they entered. Artura nodded to Gareth. "A little one sided, but not everyone is expected to be at the same level of strength, especially specifically in one on one fights. Now... the next fight will be, hmm..." She looked around, spotting her daughter with a smile. Even as she was effectively glared at. She opened her mouth, about to have Daphelora and Shandria be the next fight, but then another guild member came running up, leaning over her throne to whisper something to her. She was then handed a parchment, opening it up and pulling it out. She unfolded the paper and slowly read over it.

It seemed like a few long minutes passed before she looked up from the paper and stood from her seat. She looked out over the guild and tucked the parchment away. "A small unnamed settlement northwest of the great forest has been attacked by Goblins. Reports have come in that the entire area around the town is corrupted by an unseen magic and anything from Goblins to typical beasts is being driven insane. The town is set to be attacked tomorrow night again by a group of organized orcs. We are leaving immediately to intercept the orcs while they are still encamped before they can sack the city. It is already weak from the prior attack and there is no telling what will come after the orcs. Kingdom Genesis will move into the town, defend it from attacks, and seek out the cause of the corruption in the area and return the town to normal."

With that, the whole of the guild knew what they had to do. Everyone who had sat to watch the fights stood, and rushed off to their quarters, or the armory, anywhere their gear was stored. Artura herself took up her halberd and immediately headed off into the guild to make preparations with the nearby merchants. As she passed through the arena she called out "Daphelora, Gareth, Shandria, Silvia, you are all coming with me as the advance group in case the orcs make an early move. Someone find Grey, she's going too."

With that, there was little more to be said. Everyone was to prepare for immediate mobilization to the town. It would be a day's walk for the small group, and the rest of the guild would arrive midday the next. But they had to get a presence in the town, or they would likely arrive to find the town long gone if the reports were to be believed. She didn't give away just how large the attacking force was, but she expected her guild to be ready to face any number of enemies. No matter how many orcs there were, they were just orcs. A strong foe, but no match for the entire guild even if an entire clan had shown up.

Alright I believe we've gotten our answer for the extras. Sow e'll just be continuing with what we have and if a seventh person wants to join they can. I'll be making a post to start off the first story arc soon.

Take your time with the post, don't rush it. We are still waiting on word from a couple people about joining. I'd like to be back up to our 7 members before we get into the main story. After all, all this fighting has just sort of been setup for the actual storyline.

Just got back from an excessively long trip. 13 hour drive out of state, stayed for 2 days, slept on a recliner one night, and the floor the next. Then got to get up and drive 13 hours back home. All for an adoption court hearing because the family wanted to do it back in our hometown rather than just where we live now. So I've been a little quiet for that. I meant to post before I left but things got a little too chaotic. I will be posting something soon, and once this fight is over IC we will see about getting the first story arc going. Though we may need to find 2 new members, but that's something I have someone else looking into at the moment.

Alright, that's enough. The OOC chat is not an arguing thread about who should have done what anymore. Everyone has made their points. aviendha you have three options.

Deal with this and get the issues resolved by speaking to anyone involved that you think should have a full understanding of her abilities that didn't display it OOC through PMs.

Go along with what IC you have been given and try to fix this as an IC misunderstanding and use it as more content to work with in the way that Grey has a reason to approach Kaito and discuss it with him and find out why he stormed off, and explain herself to him if he did in fact not understand what she was doing.

Or leave the RP and move on with your life if it's going to be such a big deal.

Whatever you choose, I'm done having the OOC just be a big rage fest of arguing, and the same points are being made on either side back and forth and it's clear neither side is changing their mind. So enough is enough.

It's not my job nor my character's to take care of OOC misunderstandings. There would have been a lot less typing if you hd just brought up the issue in the first place and had it resolved. I don't see how going straight to a full IC post is minimizing how much you type.

And you have to understand how it looks, considering that first status came immediately after you finished talking to Damian and everything you said can be directly related to the conversation you were having with him. The second status came shortly after my first post on the matter.

The point still stands, this is all on you. Regardless of hand pain you were clearly capable of writing because you made an IC post. So you had the ability to instead make a smaller post and have a steady, mature conversation about it instead. Bringing it up 11 days after the fact has solved nothing, and likely isn't going to solve anything anytime soon.

Welcome to advanced RP. If another character is supposed to have a certain level of knowledge about your character, you need to make that clear in your writing.

That all being said thinking back there is some issues I do have with the fight, such as how from the start Kaito was taking note of the shadows and all this stuff, so he at first was displaying an understanding of her combat style.

It's something you would have to discuss with him if he ever returns, not start arguments in the OOC about it.
