Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

I'd rather we stick to OCs. More like the games where random nobodies rise up to be the most powerful trainers in their region, or in this case in the world.
Maria shrugged lightly. "That's what everyone else calls me as I'm nothing but a Catalyst here. I don't have a callsign other than that, or my name which nobody seems content to use." She thought for a moment longer before continuing. "Tiger calls me Cat, and so do Wolf and Panther sometimes. I guess it's short for Catalyst, but quicker to say in battle. It's not so bad I guess."

She had an obvious lack of protocol in acknowledging rank. Then again, people didn't really treat her as a soldier, but like an enemy civilian. Someone they hated and had no sympathy for, but weren't going to gun down themself.

A high pitched ringing seemed to grow in the camp, louder and louder until a dropship was seen escorted by four white fighters. The Catalyst ambassador had arrived, and that meant it was almost time to get moving. "That means it's almost time doesn't it?" She stood up onto the platform and looked up at her machine, and then to Gaunt. "Permission to gather equipment and prepare for deoyment?"
The world of Pokemon, a world filled generally with good people and powerful creatures that are more often than not very friendly and good-natured. In this world, people come together with Pokemon on a daily basis to strive for a better tomorrow. Throughout the history of this world, there have been groups of people calling themselves 'teams' who were collections of the worst kinds of people. Sometimes rhese teams consisted of nothing more or less than common criminals. But others, blinded by their own twisted vision of a berighter future, sought to do the world harm and would let nothing stand in their way to make their dream a reality. But, every team that arose wassuddenly and utterly defeated by champions.

These champions were heroes, and alongside their Pokemon they put a stop to the teams and their plans. Sometimes these heroes simply thwarted criminal organizations such as Team Rocket, and were forgotten in history. Others became legends by stopping groups such as Team Magma and Team Aqua from destroying the world as we know it in their quests for a world ideal for themselves.

One thing is certain, no matter the danger and no matter the cost, Pokemon trainers and their companions will always arise to protect their world, their family and friends, and even the very world they call their own. But this time, heroes may not be enough.

A group calling themselves The End Cult arose from the darkness, claiming the world had one month before its end would come. They had discivered a tower known as the End Spire, hidden by constant cloud cover, terrible storms and deadly mountains. This spire was thought to have been destroyed many years ago, but it has only been hidden, lying in wait for those who would activate it.

The End Spire boasts the ability to drain power from a distant planet that comes into range once every thousand years, qnd now that time has come. The tower will harness the power it claims feom the other world, and release it in a cataclysmic blast that will tear the world apart, rendering it completely lifeless. The blast would then continue in a blast wave into the stars, obliterating any life it found.

The entire world has begun to gather the finest warriors. Military soldiers, civilian police, medical staff from hospitals and clinics all over the world. The Pokemon League has also sent out a call for all able bodied trainers, as the world rests on the shoulders of all who would dare to try, dare to hope there is a way to stop the spire.

The Elite Four and their champion traveled from every region, bringing with them all the trainers they could. The world is hoping for a savior. They hope that heroes will arise as they always have in times of need, and protect the world from destruction.

When it's no longer as simple as Pokemon battles... When League rules mean nothing and Trainers and their Pokemon fight for their lives every day to stop the coming appcalypse, who could possibly find the strength to be heroes? Who could rise against the darkness, and in the name of their world and all human and Pokemon kind, defend all life in this world and beyond? Who could rise, and become Pokemon Legends?

OOC:

This RP is a darker form of Pokemon than most people are probably used to. Pokemon do not fight one another in one on one battles until one can't fight any longer. Pokemon fight to the death, and the trainers are in the same danger on both sides.

Pokemon Leafue rules are obsolete in the battlefield. A trainer is not limited to just one Pokemon active in battle, and Pokemon are not required to wait their turn before attacking. This is life or death, and the cultisrs won't be fighting fair.

Using the infamous dark balls, the Pokemon under the control of the cultists have had their power increased to maximum potential, and they have becomenas evil as their masters. They are lost in darkness, and must be put down.

Rules:

I will be controlling NPCs unless someone says otherwise. For example, if you want a family member to make a temporary appearance then you are free to decide who will RP them. Any character who has a personal connection to yours unless soecifically controlled by another person, is hnder your control and can be controlled by anyone you give permission to.

NPCs with no personal connection to your character are mine to control. The only exception is NPCs you make up like say for example, a random soldier that your character approaches and talks to. You can control the soldier as you wish. If you want to leave the NPC open for anyone to control, just say so in the OOC, or do the same if you want someone specific to control them.

Your character can have 6 Pokemon on them at a time, and may have 3 actively in battle at once. This in't a game or a competition, but I do want to keep people from going god mode with an army of Pokemon. Imagine 6x Steelix charging in under the command of one player, or 6x Charizard. It would hardly be fair, and I don't think would be much fun if everyone were doing it.

Legendary Pokemon cannot be player controlled. Legendary Pokemon are free of masters/trainers, and will always be NPCs. You cannot have a Celebi. I know you had your heart set on it, but it's not going to happen.

Our characters and their Pokemon are safe from death unless the player decides they want their character or Pokemon to die.

Requirements:

I have only one main requirement. Have angood understanding of the Pokemon universe and the Pokemon which you control. I expect everyone to know the abilities of their Pokemon and not to be using abilities they can't normally use. This is still Pokemon, we're not going to have trainers telling their Pokemon to punch and kick one another.

If I had to have any more requirements, it would be simply don't godmod, take some hits and don't go on an insta kill rampage. As well, leave out gore and excessive vulgarity. We have added death to the Pokemon universe, no need to add all the other adult themes. I'm perfectly fine with character relationships, just keep anything that needs to be private, private.

Character Sheet:

Name:

Age: (keep in mind they aren't going to bring kids into a warzone. So keep it 18+)

Region of Origin: (stick to known regions)

Character Description or Picture Reference:

Short Summary if Personality:

Brief History:

Pokemon Team: (You can have up to 6. If you so desire, you can have five, or four, or three, or two, or one if you do so desire. Any and all Pokemon are okay to have except Legendaries. Even if the Pokemon isn't from your characters region of origin, that's okay.)

All characters will be veteran trainers.
This will be more of a high-casual to advanced leaning more towards the advanced side. By that I mean we will aim for advanced level, but if someone is slightly below it in post length or something it's alright.

I'll work on the OOC as I have time. May get it up tonight or may take until to orrow night, we'll see.
Maria did not look to the colonel. She kept going about her own business, which was apparently staring and kicking her feet. "If I die it will be in the seat of a machine where I will be left to rot and forgotten by those few who acknowledge my existance. The only grave I would be given is wherever I happen to fall when I die." She spoke quietly, though loud enough to be heard clearly. She understood her position well, and that of what those around her felt about her. After all, the only friends she managed to have were Wolf, Panther and tiger and it took quite a few missions of proving herself before they even achknowledged she was a living person. Then again, her idea of a friend was nothing more than somebody who didn't wish for her to die. A type of person that was hard to come by as an outsider in the Talon.

Her squad respected her ability to fight, and they had come to think more of her than the enemy they have to fight alongside. Still, their earlier treatment of her had clearly put a wall between them, one that Maria didn't seem content with taking down.
Tiger waited for the other two to walk before stepping in to comment quietly. "The other two won't admit it sir, but it's rather likely the Catalyst girl acts as she does because we didn't really treat her with respect from the start either. We treated her, well... Like a Catalyst. So how you say, we may expect the same in kind?" He saluted before turning to follow the others to prepare his machine.

Maria finished her testing of her machine before moving to the weapons that were packed at its feet. She ran diagnostics on them one at a time to make sure they were functioning right. Finally she finished, and unlike most of the other pilots that were running around trying to finish their tests before it was time to move out, she had plenty of time to just sit down. She sat at the feet of her machine on the edfe of the metal platformnit was mounted on. She kicked her feet back and forth and stared at the ground. She sure didn't seem the soldier type.
This is not your normal Pokemon RP. This is not nearly the same as the anime or just the usual general Pokemon theme. This is a very dark plot with death and a lot of fighting outside of the normal one on one trainer battles.

A new region has been discovered, completely unpopulated by both Pokemon and humans. Nothing lives here. It is absolutely lifeless. The only thing that stands in this region is a massive spire, known as the End Spire. The tablets that lead to the discovery of the area named it such, and said it was a spire that would be discovered at the end of the world. It wasn't as simple as just finding the place of course, it was shrouded in a neverending cloud cover and perilous mountains that nobody dared climb. But now, a group calling themselves the End Cult found their way in, and have activated a dark power within the tower. Trainers have been called from all over the world, both master and aspiring rookies. The elite four have. Assembled with the champions from every zone. Gymn leaders, soldiers, and even Pokemon of legend have assembled to stop the very end of the world, and forever change the fate of life as we know it.

Both Pokemon and humans alike will die in the conflict, all to stop the cultists from having their way. With time ticking away every moment, the world only has days left before the tower is fully charged, and it will release the power in a destructive force that will destroy every trace of life on the planet, and beyond. Over our dead bodies that is, though with luck it won't come to that.

Our characters and Pokemon are safe unless we as a player decide for them to die. Others will die, be it Pokemon or their trainers. This won't just be a big RP of people and Pokemon dying though. Of course, there is a goal and that's to stop the cult and the tower. Unfortunately the cultists are beyond redemption and their Pokemon blindly follow their will. They have to be killed or there is too much risk. Anyone you leave alive will likely come back to haunt you later. But, you never know.

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in such a thing.
I'm guessing Rare has either forgotten about this or is no longer interested
Is it racist that I automatically picture Panther as a black man? Lol.
"Man we talked about that the whole ride here sir." Panther spoke for the group as they seemed to have already worked out their feelings with one another I the Gazere. "We're helping them because they got what we need, oil. Without oil our work would come to an end and the faithless would run rampant. If it weren't for the oil, we'd be letting them die to the EDF. Everyone knows they don't need the amount of oil they have, so selling it off for our help is the same as ransom if you ask me. You can't put a price on what God created, it's not right. The Lord put it there for all mankind to have in a time when ll were faithful. For these Godless heathens to come along and tell us we have to do what they say to get it, just not right. But it's less trouble than an all out war with them and the Admirals say it's the best thing so we can't argue with that."

To the second question the three looked over their shoulders at the woman before Panther went on. "We fought with her a few times. The quick version? Cold and scary. I mean, out here there's people who don't care if you live or die just as long as you do your job. But her? He'll I don't know what she cares about. She'll follow order but she don't give a damn about you or me, and sure as he'll don't care what you think of her."

Wold finished the answer. "Tell you one thing though, either that machine is way more advanced than they let on or she's one hell of a pilot. Wouldn't want to go against that thing one on one. I mean a skilled pilot could take it down I'm sure, but she definitely has some kind of advantage."
