Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

I had another idea for a RP (If you happen to have seen my other RP thread I mean... I have made a lot lately.) The plot isn't really set in stone, as the role the characters will play isn't either. There are two paths that the players can choose from the start, and it will of course change how the RP unfolds. So here's the story for the world this will take place in.

The human race has been at its own throat since the dawn of time. At least that's what we have been told, and it's not so hard to believe with how often wars are started. In the year 2027 the world was moving towards World War 3, and everyone was ready to fight. And they would have, if it hadn't been for the arrival of an unknown military. Massive ships appeared in the skies over every nation with the same markings on their hulls. Technology had been gradually advancing in recent years, but mankind was still far from having the required technology to have such massive flying battleships. The first thought was that aliens had finally made their appearance on Earth, but this was far from the truth.

The leader of this super power came forth. It was a person adorning bright white and silver armor, with a large horn on the helmet. The helmet masked the voice, so nobody would know anything about this person. This leader proclaimed themself as General Centaurius, and in a message to the entire world stated that the path of mankind would change forever. In the video feed form the announcement, there were clearly humans in the background standing guard, so the world marked this General Centaurius as a human. The General proclaimed that from that day forward, anyone who sought to make an act of war would be punished by the military might of this fleet that covered the world. The General said that war would no longer be acceptable on Earth, and that it was a crime punishable by annihilation.

The General demanded that the world leaders swear their allegiance, that Centaurius would be the new leader of the entire world. Many, too afraid of the consequences of the looming fleets above their cities, accepted the offer and bowed before their new leader. Others became skeptical, and made many demands. They demanded to know who this General really was, where they had gotten such advanced technology, let alone the massive quantity of ships and the manpower to control them. Others questioned whether this was all real or not, claiming the ships could be some form of illusion, a trick so that one person may try and take over the world like in the movies.

Some would seek to threaten this new rulers rein of peace, questioning their true intentions. Why would someone come along and simply seek to abolish war, and claim themselves to be the new single world leader? It doesn't make sense to many... and many, will fight what they don't understand.

The General came forward again recently to answer many of the questions put forth. In the video feed from the flagship orbiting the planet, there was a simple statement that answered much, and set in motion events that cannot be avoided.

The General removed her helmet and reveled herself to the world as a human girl, and simply said, "I am General Centaurius, future Queen of the world. You will bow to me and submit yourselves to peace, or you will be annihilated for aggression against the innocent."

This is where the decision comes in. Who do you want to be? What side of the story do you want to tell? Do you want to join the rebellion and fight against this woman calling herself the future Queen of the world? Or would you stand by her side, embracing a future free of war and free of corrupt governments, and put your own life on the line to see that future come true?

Basically, this RP can be one of two things. Either it can be a PvP RP in which different players take on roles from both sides and fight each other, or all players will stick to one single side of the conflict and that'st he perspective the RP will follow. Either way, there are many secrets to be uncovered, from where this massive fleet of advanced ships came from along with all the men and women aboard them, to why they follow this woman and seek to put her on a throne atop the world. Is there corruption abound or does she honestly seek to rid the world of war and bring about an era of peace? Nothing is certain... that's why you must choose what you believe.

Roles for this RP are a simple choice, and what exactly is available will be discussed if there is enough interest. These are some examples though:

Original Honor Guard: These are the people who were part of the Queen's fleet before she proclaimed herself as the future ruler to the world. They are the original army, and are extremely loyal. They already consider the General their Queen, and address her as such. Nothing could change their faith in her, even if she completely turned her back on the promises she made. They would follow her to the ends of the Earth no matter what that involved.

New World Loyalist: These are the people who desire the future the General promises, and have taken up arms in her name to help assure it becomes a reality. They are loyal to the promised future more than they are to the future Queen, and they only serve her because of that very future they have been promised. Their faith is easily broken if they do not have anything to believe in. They are looked down on the Honor Guard due to their lack of loyalty to the future Queen, but still treated with respected by them for doing their part to assure the coming future.

Rebellion Extremist: These are the people who believe with all their heart that the future Queen is evil, and intends to oppress the people. They believe that if she bcomes ruler of the world, that the world will come to an end, or at the very least mankind will be enslaved under her rule. They will do anything to stop her army, though there isn't really much they CAN do. Have you ever tried to stop a fleet of spaceships that cover the world with modern weaponry? (I'm looking at you people who have played Earth Defense Force!)

Rebels: These are the people who are common rebels. That's not to say there's nothing special about them, just that they believe they should fight against the future Queen's rule. They aren't nearly as extreme as others, but they still do their part to fight the loyalists. It doesn't take much for them to change their ways though, and more and more rebels are pledging themselves to serve the future Queen every day.

Slowly, the future Queen is winning over the entire world. Every day more rebels join the cause for a brighter future, and the rebellion grows smaller. They need either a miracle to win, or they will be crushed. Whether they are truly fighting the good fight however, is yet to be seen. After all, they could very well be truly fighting against a peaceful future without war.

Anyone interested?
Didn't mean to post this here. Can this be deleted? Lol.
I had the idea for a rune system where runes give magical attributes to anything they are put on such as runes of fire, ice or protection. The runes are drawn up in midair to create spells such as a fireball rune or anlghtning bolt rune. The more intricate the design of the rune, the more powerful such as Lightning bolt being simple, but Lightning Bolt Chain Jump is more complicated. As such it not only takes longer to produce, but drains more of the caster's life force. Life force is returned through rest, but they can easily ware themselves out.

That would limit magic use while also giving swords and bows magic capabilities.
So I'm full to burst on RP ideas! I am trying to limit myself on how many RPs I try and open up so I don't end up overflowing with RP trying to keep up like has happened in the past. So, I am just trying to get what I think are my best ideas out. This one is going to be my last one for a while. I think. The idea behind this is really just an open fantasy world that I and 3 other people will create as we go along. There are no set boundaries right now, as those will be set later when we actually get together for the RP. But here are the ground rules that the RP will use for its basis.

The world will be high end fantasy. Magic is a very common thing, and many creatures from centaurs to dragons roam the land and are also quite common.

The world's highest technologies come from both steam engineering, and magical contraptions.

The known world is very large, and our characters have only ever known the one secluded continent they live on. There are other lands with many names however, ones that one day their adventure could well lead to.

The world is ours to explore and create as we see fit. We will have a simple start but a quick start. I feel that sitting around for too long in the area you start out in a RP just talking often kills a RP before it can really get started. So our characters will get together for whatever reason, and head out on their journey right away!

I'm thinking this could be the starting plot:

Our characters all about the same time, at least within a few days, join up with a guild. Guilds are collections of adventurers, and these guilds receive quests directly that any members of the guild can take and complete for the specified rewards. Think Fairy Tail if you have ever seen it. The RP can revolve around our characters and their interactions with this guild, and it will start off with them having joined around the same time and so they decided to go on their first quest at the same time! Or rather they take the same quest together.

From there the world is ours from the city we start in to the world around it. Anyone can make up things as we go along from the mention of mountains to rivers and valleys. Just try not to step on anyone's toes too bad. If someone seems to be playing out an idea, try and ask first if it's okay to do something.

Anywho this is all in the planning stage still, so, is anybody up for a high end fantasy adventure with limitless possibilities?
Waiting on the rotation, even just the majority seems to be getting much, much slower as time goes on lol. I think interest is starting to be drained a bit.
I have been watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series a lot recently, and it has really gotten me in the mood for a Star Wars RP! But, I didn't just want some random RP set in the Star Wars universe... instead I wanted to be able to mash it all into one big RP! So, because of that I have come to the decision that I want to do a Clone Wars based Nation RP! Well, at the heart it's a Nation RP but it's different in that there are only 2 factions and each person will play a General of the faction... maybe I should just explain the idea.

So the idea is that we take the Clone Wars, we break lore a bit so that there are multiple Sith during the time, as well as the battles don't quite go as they do through the original timeline.

Each player will have a main character who is either a Sith or a Jedi. This character will be a General of the Republic or the Confederacy, and will command their own fleet of ships. At first, the fleets will be small and not much of a threat to the defenses of most worlds. But, as the players move their fleets around and take part in different tasks from missions to battles, they will earn credits they can spend to upgrade their fleet.

Battles should be carefully considered however, as when a ship is destroyed it is lost forever. The only way to replace it is to either buy a new one with credits, which would be a waste as you would likely be pending at least as much as you earned in the battle that you lost the ship in (Assuming you won), or you can earn a new ship by taking part in much larger battles. More on that below.

The key objective for each player in this RP is to take over the entire galaxy for their faction. All systems must be controlled to achieve victory. But, it's not easy to take on a system's defenses and it won't likely be doable with the starting fleets. The starting fleets will pretty much be 3 frigates. It's enough to safely move around friendly and neutral space without too much threat early on. Later as the RP progresses however, other player's fleets will grow and you will be in more danger of being attacked.

Back on the topic of taking over systems. If you manage to take over a system, the reward will be substantial. You will be rewarded with many things from new ships free of charge to permanent upgrades to your fleet. Rewards will be split between all players who take part in the taking of a system, and will be split based on how much work each player did. For example:

Let's say player A does many missions to gain a strong advantage over a planet, such as taking out listening posts on the moons, assassinating officers on the planets surface, and even bringing about riots from the civilians. Then they bring in player B to help with the final assault. Player A will get much more of the reward than player B. Of course, the reward will still be pretty good for player B.

Battles will take place in many locations from space to the ground, and will have many different settings from fleets attack one another to smaller scale ops such as your Jedi infiltrating a base on the surface.

So, what makes this different from most nation RPs I have seen is that there will be a strong focus on single character progression and interaction. This means that aside from moving fleets about and engaging in fleet battles and trying to take over the galaxy, characters will be RPd on their own and will interact with one another. It won't just be nonstop posts in the IC about fleet mobilization.

There will be much more detail later on if there's enough interest. Both Sith and Jedi are playable and the players will fight against one another from time to time, though it will likely be mostly NPC fights until players get stronger fleets and start more actively engaging one another. After all... nobody should be charging across the galaxy with 3 frigates straight into hostile territory screaming "FOR NARNIA!!!!11111112" and attacking Count Deku Tree's fleet head on. If you do you are going to die with no chance of escape and will be removed from the RP lol.

So, is anybody interested?

Well feel free to post as much as you'd like without others posting, I'll respond whenever there's a post to respond to lol.
Bump. Decided to change it up a bit. Characters will change from one game to another. We'll have the same characters, but how they fight, how they are dressed, and all that will change depending on the world they go to. Also decided that modern and Sci Fi worlds will still be around. So, this means that...

Depending on where the RP goes, your character may be a sword wielding knight one second, a magic flinging sorcerer the next, then suddenly a modern soldier with an assault rifle, and then could find themself piloting a giant machine in a Sci Fi world. It's still up to the player though. The player gets to decide what their combat style is and how they are dressed, just as long as it matches the game world.
It feels like someone viciously and brutally stabbed the RP in the back!
Sorry but if you want Casual RP you're best sticking to the Casual section.
