Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm having the most fun with FFXV that I've had with a game since Metal Gear 5.

The message was received by a droid. Clearly Bell didn't think much about communications leaving them in the hands of the very same model of droid that had jumped them twice as as far as they were meant to. This was an easy job at least, and the droid turned to speak.

"There's a fleet out there saying they are the defense for Taris, and that they're the Grand Republic of Mandalore. They are demanding we deactivate all our defenses and respond with out intentions. If we are just passing through they'll just watch us and if we want to talk to them we should contact the fleet. If we don't contact them they will assume we are hostile."

At least the droid was capable of giving a summary rather than the entire message. Bell yawned... She hadn't slept for quite a while. Since long before the recent fleet battle, they had been preparing and so she sar about her throne in case she was needed, even though her apprentices did most of the work getting orders and plans out. "How long until the rest of the fleet gets here?"

"They'll be here soon. They were able to jump to hyperspace soon after they got out. Our destination was transmitted before the jump, so they knew where we were headed. They just hadn't paid much attention to the details, only looking to them when the flagship wasn't there...

The ship sat silently in space, not having to wait long. The other battleships were upgraded and the Prividence ships weren't so... Old. They had all been able to jump again shortly after coming out of hyperspace while Bell's ship was stuck waiting to cool down. Not to mention they ran the hyperspace drive for twice as long.

Suddenly, another Lucrehulk came out of Hyperspace, and then another, and one by one Providence carriers flashed in. It wasn't long before the lone battleship was accompanied by a sizable fleet. Of course, they didn't do anything. "I'm tired... Have the droid talk to them." Genovath nodded, making a hand gesture to the nearby strategic droid who moved up to the holographic communications. He then stepped up to the throne and lifted Bell into his arms, carrying her off to bed like a true child.

The droid activated the hologram, signaling the fleet's flagship with a message. "This is the Black Hand Flagship. We seem to have had a computing error and overshot our destination by twice the intended distance. The rest of the fleet has moved in in case of hostile threats." The droid, as it often did, took things jnto its own hands for the better. "We were seeking a location where we might land a mining rig and obtain resources. We have two stations, one acting as a shipyard and another as a factory. We would like to attempt to negotiate the use of a location within your territory to safely obtain the supplies we need."

The second of the inquisitir twins stood back, watching the droid work. He had no problem with it taking over, as it was designed for strategic thinking and would do far better than he would. He gave the order and the fleet kept their shields up, but their weapons powered down. Which technically made the shields stronger, though he didn't see an engagement here.

Meanwhile, an old man hobbles through the ship trying to find a way out. The hangar? No all of the fighters are droids, he couldn't pilot them. Escape pods then. He had to find them though... Darth Tybis was chrious, why exactly Bell had given him a chance. Why was she so sure that he wouldn't make it?

His five minutes were up... Now what? Nothing seemed to change. That is, until he rounded a corner, and saw a hooded figure in a black robe. He couldn't see the face, only glowing red eyes. A Sith of some sort? He figured so when a red blade extended, revealing the use of a lightsaber. Had she sent one of her apprentices after him?

He turned to try and make it back the other way, only to bump into another of the cloaked Sith.

I highly doubt that every single elf in the world fights the same exact way.

Maria sipped down the last of her drink before setting it down. "Nah, just trying to figure out why he's asking for my opinion." She yawned and stretched before turning her head to look at Heloise. "I say let her join. She's cute."

Makarov opened one of his eyes again, peeking over at Maria. "If you say so. Ah well, I didn't have my doubts either. It's just you need to have the acceptance of your guild mates as well. It's important here. And as long as you are the right, and good kind of person, then you'll have no trouble earning their trust and acceptance." He smiled and nodded. "Welcome to Iron Tree, this time as a member."

Makarov sat back down, closing his eyes again. "It's not me that you need to convince. As I said..." He tilted his head to Maria quickly. Why he would have them get her approval instead of his own, being the guild master, was anyone's guess. "She's got a far keener eye for those who are right for the guild than I do. She's smart that one!"

Maria sitting behind him looked over her shoulder, as if wanting to blatantly point out that was a lie, and that he was just wanting the second opinion of the nearest guild member. He would have likely said the same thing for anyone else who had been sitting so close.

Makarov listened silently before a single eye popped open. He stared at her for a moment before his other eye opened and his head tilted back. "There is certainly a difference between proving ones self worthy of being family, and proving that one truly wants it." She nodded to Alaric as he went to leave. "That man. Do you believe he wishes to be part of the family? Or do you think he came here to make money?"

Maria gave her own opinion, as she was sitting at the same table though she gave it in a different way, speaking to Alaric as he left instead. "I wasn't aware people saw fliers and ignored what they said. This is a guild not a job office kid."

Makarov looked to Maria before looking back at Heloise, standing and crossing his arms behind his back. "If somebody truly wished to be a part of the guild, truly wanting it in their heart, not just for coin or glory, then they would find a place in the guild. It's easy for one to say they wish to join the guild, but it's not so easy to tell if that person really wishes it with the most honorable of intentions. Proving ones self worthy of joining the guild is not a test of skill. It is simply a test of whether or not they have what it takes to BE a part of the family." He leaned forward and nodded to Maria. "If she has your approval then I see no reason to keep you out."

If you want specifically Makarov to doubt her though, then he could yes.

I figure Len and Maria would know each other since Maria has actually been with the guild for a while. She just never really did enough questing to raise her rank lol, just doing what little she had to.

Makarov may not voice his doubts, but Maria might and Mkarov respects her opinion as he does with all members.

Could try asking Makarov if she can join the guild. That's the normal way of initiating the test lol.

Get to, or probably should if you want to be accepted xD Most people don't have any reason they wouldn't be accepted. Alaric... well, I mean he is literally what the ad for the guild says the guild is not meant for. He is a hateful person, he acts well out of his bounds, he threatens people he doesn't know and all that, and that really leaves it up to him being here for either gold or glory. Some are allowed to come for glory, in the sense that being a member of a prestigious guild would bring their family glory (Dwarf man) but just for self glory.... really it's the idea that selfish motives and bad people aren't for Iron Tree. And that's what makes up Alaric xD

Also I think people misunderstood. Makarov accepted Rose and Swift into the guild because they were who he was watching. Nobody else has yet shown a reason why they should be accepted. Rose and Swift learned something, and in seeing regret and guilt in Rose from the mention of having hurt one of her future guild mates, that showed Makarov that she was a good person and that's why he welcomed her to the guild.

To everyone else he said 'welcome to Iron Tree' the same way someone would say "Welcome to Walmart"
