Who are your writing influences?

A lot of my writing influences come from science fiction and fantasy I read when I was in middle school. Off the top of my head, I can think of authors like Michael Crichton, HG Wells, CS Lewis, and JRR Tolkien being my biggest inspirations for getting into writing. Though other media influenced me, including Star Wars, Bionicle, and Halo were also big inspirations.

Why is everyone so horny on this site?

The energy that surged through Riku's new form was incredible. He felt like he could take on the world. Or, at the very least, a weird-looking dragon monster. He cracked a lopsided grin.

"Fair suck of the sav! The hell is this? I thought I was s'posed to be in control of this body?" Bruce's voice was in his head, and he sounded both surprised and angry. He let out a frustrated huff. "The hell with it. We're in this blue whether we like it or not. How 'bout we teach this bounce a lesson, eh?"

Wait, so you only offered to help me because you wanted my body? Riku thought. He sounded offended, bordering on disgusted.

"Cripes, no! You might know how I can get back home. If you up and drop dead, there go any chances for me to get back to the Digital World."

What are some of the most confusing/cringiest OC's you have ever encountered?

Hands down, my characters from when I first started RPing. I constantly pulled stuff out of my butt for them because I thought it would be cool. And I got away with it a lot because this was literally on a forum devoted to Legos, including said RP I was in.

Name: Rekka Miyamoto
Alias: Inferno Dragon
Age: 18-20
Appearance: Rekka is of average height for his age, standing at just shy of 168 centimeters. His build is lean and muscular, and thanks to his career as a Guardian, he has multiple scars from encounters with Majuu and other Guardians.
Equipment: Helmet (can be equipped and dispelled with a thought), Fire Dragon Naginata
Skills: Naginatajutsu, limited hand-to-hand combat, knowledge of Majuu anatomy and behavior, pyrokinesis (as long as he is holding the Fire Dragon Naginata)

About: Born in the United States, Rekka moved back to Japan as a boy after his father abandoned his family. His mother worked hard to support the two of them, something that Rekka was grateful for. He rarely had many friends, but those that he had he was fiercely protective of. Growing up he had something of a temper, and was more than willing to get into a fight if it meant protecting his friends, or someone who couldn't defend themselves. This behavior often got him into trouble. However, this behavior caught the attention of multiple spirits. After a fight that left Rekka in bad condition, one of these spirits approached him with a question: "Do you want the strength to protect your loved ones?" All it required was one wish, and the contract would be made. Rekka wished for his mother to be happy for as long as she lived, no matter how it affected him. He was taken on as an apprentice by another Guardian, who taught him how to control his abilities, as well as fight Majuu and other threats.
Other Notes:

• Character theme: Before I Go by coldrain
• It's rare for Guardians to continue fighting as long as Rekka has. Most either break their contract with their familiar, lose their powers, or die in combat. For this fact, he's something of a legend among other Guardians in Japan.
• His elemental powers are tied to his emotions. They were much more powerful when he was younger, but as time tempered his emotions, he became stronger and more skilled with his weaponry. That being said, if Rekka loses control now, it's likely to cause a lot more damage than when he was younger.
• Rekka's biggest fear is being abandoned and forgotten by those he loves. So he fights hard, sometimes to the point of overexerting himself. This has left him in bad states both in and out of battle.
• Usually works solo, but will team up with other Guardians if it's necessary.
• Despite his best efforts, Rekka has made enemies as Inferno Dragon, including some rather powerful Guardians and Majuu...

Appearance: A small girl for her age, Hanako is often mistaken for someone younger, much to her annoyance.
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Brief Bio: At a young age, Hanako's parents encouraged her to take up kendo. While she showed promise, she quit due to being bullied by her peers for being small. Eventually she found hobbies in the form of card games and first person shooters, and she excelled in both. Her parents didn't exactly understand the appeal of either, but they accepted it. She gained confidence in her abilities, and is known in some online circles for her prowess with both cards and virtual guns.

Appearance: Relatively normal for the species, though Sierra has "042" emblazoned on the armor of his left upper arm.

Personality: To most, Sierra is extremely difficult to read, mostly due to his calm demeanor and the fact that his face is... well, his face. However, he enjoys a good fight, and it's not uncommon to get into physical brawls with those he's close with.
Equipment: Combat knife
Attacks: Death Behind, Scouter Monoeye
Miscellaneous: Fiercely protective of Hanako. If you want to die an extremely quick death, try attacking her while he's around.

Personality: A quiet but friendly Digimon, Yaksamon takes great pride in his skills with a sword. Despite their different temperaments and ideals, he thinks of Sierra like a brother.

Attacks: Ittouryoudan, Kugutsu no Jutsu
Miscellaneous:

• Carries an old shinai which he used to use as a Kotemon
• Often uses his bokken to whack those who annoy him (usually Sierra)
• Was guided down his path by a "wandering super-swordsman" when he was younger
