I like to think that I have a healthy amount of self-esteem, but I absolutely cannot generate original writing ideas without thinking they're trash and uninteresting

Bio

Hiya, I'm Blitz. I'm oddly eclectic. I love football and drinking shenanigans, but I am equally a huge nerd and love writing and RPing too. Genres I prefer generally depend on my current mood, but I tend to prefer RPs about college/sports, gangs, mild and dark fantasy, realistic/modern/slice of life, post-apocalyptic, futuristic... I could be convinced to do anything if you're good enough at arguing honestly.

I think I'll also put a bunch of my characters' quotes here because what better describes a person than the things they say? (Or rather, things my characters have said... Tee-hee)

Wait... Are you sure you just joined? Your name rings a bell!
I love you. Okay bye.
Already started writing mine! :D
@Terminal Gotcha, thanks for the quick reply. :D
Has the submission period already started? Or will there be a specific date for that? (If this was already addressed then I apologize my eyes must've slipped over it.)

Also... I'm all good about picking a favorite character here, but, I mean, you all have no real way of knowing that it's been our favorite. In other words, I could create a character just for this contest, claim they're my "favorite", and kill them horribly. Does this character have to be one posted somewhere on the RPG already? Or do you guys just not care and function on the honor code?
sobbing how did I win even a staff picks lol
but I'm humbled <3

anywhoooooooo, let's look at this twelve labors, now...
I know I haven't reviewed it yet, but my vote goes for, as many others have done, "Never Forget."

The author put an enormous amount of effort into it, which alone deserves some major kudos. For a story written on a little-known internet roleplaying thread website, what you wrote was something I'd see on the bookshelves. I wish I could write with half of that kind of quality.
I was kind of vacationing for a while and got lazy. Not that reviews require a tremendous effort (especially my reviews), but I hope y'all can understand anyway. But I'm back and also red from head to toe. What better time to continue with reviews than when you can't move or go into the sunlight?

OH BUT LET ME GET MY VOTE IN! I'll keep writing my reviews even after the new contest is made, if you guys even care. Lol.
Just added a few more reviews. Hope y'all don't mind my slow pace.
Well now, let’s start some reviews shall we?

I’m a bit of a softie and will more than likely enjoy everything I read, but I will try to be as constructively critical as possible too, since we’re all here to improve. If you have any questions or wish to clarify something I may have misunderstood, just let me know.

Oh, and I suppose it’s worth mentioning that I’m sitting in a public place while doing this and I’m also very, very tired after a long day and, for some reason, I was struck with the inspiration to start these reviews. For the first set that I get done I apologize for any odd, incorrect, or otherwise nonsensical statements. I may come back and edit these first reviews when I’m in a more alert state of mind.

EDIT: I think it's also worth mentioning that my experience with literary critique is extremely lacking and for someone who likes writing (albeit for fun) as much as I do, I actually kind of hate real literature. Or, I guess I just don't know how to appreciate it. My reviews will probably be more subjective in that sense, because I'm clueless when it comes to being... literary.

*deep breath and sip of water*

I’m going to stop here momentarily. I feel like I am just mutilating these reviews. I’ll try to work on some more tomorrow and will inform you all if I edit any reviews already written.

Bleh. My reviews aren't graceful at all.
