Ella couldn’t believe her eyes as the robot, Creatrix, not only chuckled at her dance moves, but went on to actually do the robot himself. She grinned. It had barely been a few minutes since she had arrived, but already, she felt excited to be on the team. Perhaps it was because she felt more connected to her father, but it just felt right. “Oh! My name’s Ella! It’s a pleasure to meet you, Creatrix! I look forward to future dance battles!” While the robot mentioned he was an ex-Sentinel, Ella didn’t know much about him. Her father had chosen not to talk too much about the former group; he had wanted the little time they shared together to only be about them.

Scanning the room, Ella noticed some of the heroes already beginning to group together while others sat alone. If this group wanted to be a team, they all needed to work together, and that meant they had to get to know each other. She smiled wickedly. It was time for her marvelous jokes! Mwahaha! The closest person beside her was a rather attractive brunette, who was in for quite the time.

“Hello, mate! Since we’re all waiting around, shall I tell you a joke?” Without waiting for him to say no, Ella continued speaking. “This one gets people every time. Okay, why can’t bicycles stand up on their own?” She paused for a few moments. “They’re two tired!” Ella broke out in high pitched laughter, just as Archer O'Connor finally walked into the room. Quickly shutting her lips, Ella sat down beside the boy, who she hadn’t even asked for a name. There would be time for exchanging names and much more of her jokes, later. Archer had at last, arrived.

As he began introducing himself and explaining the team’s very first mission, Ella found herself a little surprised. She knew nothing of her teammate’s abilities and skills, and sending them out on a mission so quickly sounded risky. Of course, her trust in Archer was enough to put up with anything. She eyed Hollie questionably but spoke nothing about the matter. Perhaps this would be a good lesson for them all. Several heroes began questioning Archer, but she knew his decision would remain the same. She couldn’t help but wish the man was tagging along though, if only to make her feel safer. Ella gave the man a large grin and a salute while waiting for further instruction.

A soft breeze brushed against Luna’s face as she closed her eyes to enjoy the peaceful setting. There was absolutely no sound to disturb her, except that of her breath. She even had a silent, shining guardian standing watch above her. This was as close to Heaven as she could get. If Luna didn’t have to attend class, she’d easily spend her whole year locked up here. No one would even miss her. But alas, things never went her way. Sighing, she continued to focus on her art book, until a deafening blast of sound attacked her ear. Of course, of course. What was she thinking? There was the annual first assembly of the school year. Luna glanced at her suitcase, and grumbled in annoyance. She didn’t think anyone would take her belongings, plus risking being late would not be a good start to the year. Just to be safe though, Luna grabbed her backpack, full of art supplies and many of her art books, and began heading downstairs.

By the time she arrived, most of the bleachers were already full. Silence haunted her steps as she went past several students, most of whom leaned far away from her. The typical set of whispers grew in the air, but Luna continued all the way to the back row. There was a time events like this used to make her cry. Not anymore. It was strange how easily one got used to the harassment of her peers. She supposed crying all the time got too depressing.

As the headmaster made his typical speech about the school year, he welcomed students to make introductions. How anyone had the courage to do so, was beyond her. Just thinking about walking up to the platform made her shiver. She watched silently as several students rose to the occasion. While she hated to admit it, Luna was slightly jealous at how easy it was for them to walk across the stage in front of the entire student body and speak. Sighing, she kept her head down and waited for the ceremony to finish.
@BlueAjah is it okay if I make a villain? I don't want him to be a sentinel but rather an enemy for the sentinels.

Smarty only wanted a limited about of villains but I think that would be okay if you did one. @smarty0114 should be able to give you more information about the terrorists if you want to send him a PM. :)
Pardon me, Ajah, any word on whether or not I can join?

Oh my bad! Of course you can join!! It's nice to see a familiar face :)
@Leslie Hall

So I read through your CS, and for the most part, he looks good. I just have a few concerns about his backstory and abilities. One, he's too young. I understand that he was experimented on when he was a child, but the Sentinels Program wouldn't have accepted someone of his age and with unstable powers at that. This would prove to be a liability for the rest of the team if someone couldn't control their abilities. I feel as though he should be at least 23. Another thing that troubles me is his abilities. With his passive, Kinetic Surge, you need to limit his powers more because he can easily become too OP if he absorbs a lot of attacks. Maybe he can only absorb a small portion of the attack? And for Psi Blades, Kinetic energy isn't a tangible object so it would be near impossible to form it into a blade. Even scientifically in a lab, it would be impossible. Once you change these things, I think he would look great :) However, smarty is the official judge. :)
I apologize for being inactive lately. I have returned from my camping trip and there will hopefully be no more complications in my life :) This rp has my full attention. I had fun writing up that post but I am exhausted from spending the whole day outside and goodness do I need sleep now.

Plopping a scrumptious ball of caramel and chocolate pretzel delight into her mouth, Ella moaned with happiness. Oh, how she loved food. While pancakes and protein shakes had a special place in her heart, there was barely anything she wouldn’t eat. Anything except cheese. She shivered at the thought; cheese was her one weakness. There was something about its moldy smell and weird texture that had her shaking in disgust. Some people had nightmares about monsters hiding under the bed or skeletons in their closet, but Ella dreamed of.. Cheese. She shook her head, ridding all thoughts of the nasty substance.

“DOO WIEE OOOHH!” The telly rang out in front of her. Ella grinned in delight as one of her favorite shows was coming on. Sprawled across the bed, Ella sat waiting in her hotel room for the new Sentinels meeting to begin. She was currently passing time by watching the BBC and eating, of course. There was nothing like eating and watching some good old Doctor Who; it was a rerun of an episode she’d long already seen but she loved the show enough to watch any episode 100 times over.

Arriving in Paris over a week ago, Ella had been the first new Sentinel recruit to come into town. She had been encouraged by Archer O'Connor to spend some time in the city of love before official work began. Ever since her father had disappeared, there was no one she looked up to more than Archer. He had helped her when she most need it, and for that, she was eternally grateful. So she went sightseeing, made several new friends, and had already gotten a feel for the city. She’d even had a good conversation with a French mime, or she had tried, anyway. Paris was quite the city, and Ella found herself having a wonderful time.

As Ella’s eyes were glued to the screen, she didn’t realize the soft beeping noise coming from her phone. It wasn’t until the Doctor Who episode was over did she realize the time.

“Bloody hell! I’m going to be late!” She screamed to the empty room, shoving her box of treats under the bed, and scrambling for her purse and shoes. Only should could possibly mess up such an important day as this. Although, she couldn’t help but chuckle at her terrible sense of time. What would Archer think if he saw her coming late? Pushing down the thought, Ella quickened her pace and raced toward the headquarters.

Twenty minutes later, and Ella had finally arrived. Perhaps things had yet to start? She could only hope as she rushed into the HQ, only coming to fall flat on her face in front of Hollie Hills.

“Ella! Are you alright?” She called out, rushing to her side. Ella gave her a thumbs up and let out a loud laugh; it seemed her day wasn’t complete without falling at least once. After the bubbly girl helped to her feet, Ella smiled gratefully and rubbed off the imaginary dirt on her shoulders. “I’m so happy you’re here, although you’re a little late. Be lucky my dad hasn’t come out yet.” They both giggled like they had been friends for years. Ella had only known the girl for a little over a month, but she found herself growing rather fond of her. It was nice to be friends with someone, a fellow blonde as well. Although she was fairly certain Hollie was growing annoyed with her rather abundant jokes. But, she never said anything and always laughed, and for that, Ella was grateful.

“I know! I know! I lost track of time after Doctor Who came on the telly. I guess I’ll go on in there, now. Come in soon!”

Cracking the joints in her fingers, Ella made her way in. The room was full of all sorts of people, some of whom weren’t even human. Ella’s eyes filled with amazement as she saw a robot in their midst.

“Oh wow! An actual robot!” She squealed in excitement “Can you dance? I’ve spent many years perfecting the ancient dance move known as the robot.” Ella then preceded to do the robot in front of the entire future team, grinning as she moved. They sure were in for a treat, Ella couldn’t wait to tell them all her jokes too.

Fixing her blonde hair into a tight braid, Luna stared into her vanity mirror. She hated who looked back at her - a girl who looked afraid of the future, who cowered in the presence of others, who stayed hidden in the shadows. This was the girl she had become during her years spent away from home. It was the girl she would become today. After spending a relaxing summer with her beloved family, it was time to return to the academy. Perhaps this would be the year? There had to be at least one person out there willing to be her friend, right? When other children asked Santa for bicycles and laptops, Luna wished for a person to call her friend. But, Luna was cursed.

Taking a deep breath, she grabbed her backpack and took her time as she walked to the driveway. Two smiling parents stood waiting for her. Despite her troubles at school, Luna was grateful for the love she found at home. There was no one more caring than her mother and father. They hugged her, kissed her, loved her. At home, Luna was a well behaved, loving daughter. But, she was also a liar. Neither of her parents were aware of Luna’s school life, for she constantly filled them in with lies of a cheerful and exciting school. A fake life. Luna only wished to please her parents, and they would always be worried about her if they knew. Better to leave them in the dark.

The road to the academy was full of exciting banter from her mother, asking questions about her friends, any boys who caught her eye, teachers she liked. Every new school year started the same. The lies rolled of her tongue easily now. She created a world within her mind where she was popular and loved by everyone. Most of her time was spent absorbed in this dream world and she had gotten so used to it, Luna sometimes even forget about her real life.

“We’re here, sweetheart.”

Parked a block away from the actual entrance, per Luna’s request, they stepped out the car. Tears threatened to come crashing down, but Luna bit her lip; she was supposed to be excited for the new school year. Savoring her parent’s memory, Luna exchanged tight hugs and kisses before making the haunting walk to school. The day had actually come. A honk rang out in the distance as her parents drove by, waving their hands out the window. Smiling, Luna yelled out another goodbye. A few moments later and the Luna her parents knew and loved, was gone.

Ten minutes of walking and Luna had made it to the academy. Students stepped out of the way as she walked, scared of touching her. New faces were confused but the whispers already beginning would soon fill them in. Sometimes she liked to imagine she was their Princess, walking to her throne room. Another dream. Ever since Luna was little, she had picked up a nasty rumor for being cursed. Things seemed to go wrong whenever she was around, although Luna used to believe it was just coincidence. It didn’t matter now, though. People still treated her differently. Keeping her head down, Luna made her way to the check in.

Most students were going straight to their rooms to begin meeting their roommates and unpacking, but Luna didn’t feel like going to an empty room at the moment. Instead, she went to her secret hiding place. She knew it was probably against the rules, but she had yet to be caught for it. It was difficult dragging all of her luggage up the endless flights of stairs, but Luna didn’t mind it much. It would be worth it.

A smile spread across her face as she opened the doors to the roof of the academy’s building. The blinding sun, her only friend in this lonely school, welcomed her with welcoming arms. Luna couldn’t explain it, but being up on high places made her feel more comfortable. She enjoyed being away from the other fearful students and the pitiful room of her dorm. Up here, she could be whoever she wanted to be. No lies, just her.

Adjusting into a comfortable position, Luna pulled out her art book from her backpack and began to scribble a few sketches. As long as she had a roof and her sketchbook, life didn’t seem so bad.
