Post up. The match is supposed to have taken place -before- the Max Power title match, but the conversation is happening in the locker room after the show.

It worked perfectly, great introductory RP.
I'm pretty excited for this.
So, when do we start? Directly after the match, or after Jack announced his plan?

How you introduce your character in the RP is entirely up to you, and it depends what story you want to tell. If you want something signifacnt to happen right after the match, start there. If you want to start with them hearing about the stipulation at the Battle in Seattle, that's fine too. Some other player may want to start with RPing about their own match, and that's also fine. We're all building towards that big Battle Royal at the end of the month, but how we get there depends on how we RP and the stories we end up telling both on-camera and behind-the-scenes.

As soon as he walked through the curtain, Max Power broke character.

"This is fucking bullshit."

Agents and producers quickly darted out of his path, as it was clear that Max had a chip on his shoulder. The personnel backstage kept their eyes firmly fixed on the ground, not even daring to look up at the reigning World Champion as he passed. After all of his success and all he had accomplished for Global Pro Wrestling, Max Power carried a certain level of respect. And more importantly a certain level of pull.

Max stepped into the office of Jack Flanagan, the owner of GPW and a long-time personal friend. Flanagan sat with his back to the doorway, gazing out a window.

"This is fucking bullshit."

Max waited for Jack's reply but when it did not come he continued, irritated that Flanagan would not even turn around to face him.

"These people have no fucking respect. After everything I've done in this business they want to treat me like this? It's fucking bullshit. I'm in there with a 7 foot tall Russian, and half the crowd still fucking boos me."

Another long pause.

"LOOK AT ME, JACK!"

Flanagan got up from his chair and turned around, a magazine clutched in his hands. He threw it down on the desk, before turning away again to look out the window. On the magazine cover there were two pictures of Max, waving the American flag and holding up the GPW World Title. The first was from 1986, the second was from 1996. The headline read, "OLD GLORY."

Max refused to even touch the magazine an looked down at it with utter contempt. He loathed the dirt sheets, and treated them as though they were as filthy as their moniker.

"You're right Max," came Jack's reply, "this is fucking bullshit."

This time Max was at a loss for words.

"The sheets are trying to say that you and I are out of touch, that this company is irrelevant, that the business has passed us by. It's fucking bullshit. We're going to prove them wrong, Max."

"What do you mean?"

"We're going back to the Garden," said Jack, turning to face Max once again.

"New York?"

"You're goddamn right," answered Jack, "Global Pro Wrestling presents Clash of the Titans, live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Headlined By the GPW World Heavyweight Champion, the greatest World Champion in the history of this business, Max Power. I saw you out there tonight Max, and I know you still have the passion, you still have the heart. I know you have more to offer this business. You just need the right opponent. With the right opponent, with the proper heel, we can recapture the glory days."

"Who did you have in mind?" said Max.

"We have a roster full of young guys who want to step up and take that spot across from you. It's time for somebody to step up and grab the brass ring. At the end of the month, we've got the Battle in Seattle, and the winner of the Battle Royal will get a World Title shot against you at the Garden. That's the angle we're running. So we have until then to decide on who your opponent will ultimately be."

Again Max was at a loss for words. After all that had happened over the last year, with attendance down, with the fans turning on him, with the dirt sheets tearing him apart, Jack Flanagan still believed in him as Champion. He believed he could sell out Madison Square Garden, one last time.

"We're gonna show them Max. We're gonna show the world. We're gonna show everybody that this company is still worth a damn."
Wrestling sure wasn't what it used to be.

Max Power found himself trapped in the middle of the ring, his bear-like opponent wrenching down with a headlock. It was textbook storytelling really. The heel wears out the babyface with a hold, the babyface mounts a dramatic comeback. Max had done it literally thousands of times. Maybe that was the problem.

Max reached out with his right hand, attempting to feed off the energy from the crowd. The fans began to chant, quietly at first, but as he flexed his arm and rose slowly to his feet, the chants grew louder and louder.

"I-VAN! I-VAN! I-VAN!"

"I-VAN" was actually Ivan Ivanovic Invanowsky, Max Power's opponent. The mountainous Ivanowsky had all the traits of a classic wrestling villain. He was gigantic, he was evil, and he was Russian. In 1986, the Giant Evil Russian vs. the All American Hero would've sold itself, but in 1996 the fans weren't buying it. Not for one second.

Max began to mount his comeback, rebounding off the ropes and hitting a stiff clothesline, stunning Ivanowsky momentarily. He came off the ropes again with another hard shot, staggering his opponent even more still. Finally, with a third titanic clothesline, Max Power took the big man off his feet. A chorus of boos erupted around the arena. Max called for his finishing move, the Powerbomb, internally wondering if he would even be able to pull it off against a man this size. Taking a heavy breath, Max lifted the 350-pound Ivanowsky up into the air, and slammed him down to the mat with all his might. Exhausted, he collapsed on top of Ivanowsky for the cover.

"Here is your winner and STILL the Global Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion of the World...MAAAAXXXXX POOOOWWWWEERRRRRR!!!"

Slowly walking back up the ramp, Max slung the GPW World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. It's placement was appropriate, as Max Power had been carrying the weight of Global Pro Wrestling on his shoulders for years. Despite all that he had accomplished, boos continued to rain down, seemingly from all directions. Reaching the top of the ramp, Max laid eyes upon an ecstatic young fan in the front row, no more than 7 years old, wearing a t-shirt that read "TAKE IT TO THE MAX!" He stopped for a moment, removed one of his armbands, and handed it over to the fan. His eyes lit up.

The child's eyes lit up as well.
@Stekkmen Ivan Ivanovich Ivanowsky might have the best name ever. Just double check the spelling in your CS then post in in the Chars section. Also if you don't mind I'd like to use Ivanowsky as fodder in the opening RP in a match against Max Power, he's the perfect opponent.
I picked a new song. Is there anything else I need to change?

No you're good to go now. You can post him in the Characters section.
Sexton Love

Name: Sexton Love
Hometown: Tightsqueeze, Virginia (actually from Toronto, Canada)
Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 255 lbs
Entrance Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yoMU4ij2lc

Alignment: Heel.

Gimmick: "The Sexcellence of Sexecution." A sleazy womanizer with a seemingly endless stream of catchphrases and one-liners. Hosts a Piper's Pit talk show segment called "The Sex Talk." Believes he should be the top guy in the business because "Sex Sells" and he is quite simply the "Sexiest There Is, Sexiest There Was, and Sexiest There Ever Will Be."

Personality: Ask anyone in the wrestling business about Sexton Love, and they'll tell you the same thing: he lives his gimmick. His fans may be known as the "Sex Addicts," but in real life he is the one with the addiction. Goes out every night, in every town, and has established a network of devoted ring rats from coast to coast. His most important possession is his fanny pack, containing a Skittles-like cocktail of pain killers, Viagara, and natural male enhancement.

Biography: As a wrestling fan growing up, Sexton always found himself being drawn towards the heels, the bad guys, rather than to the babyfaces as was typical. He saw these guys who did what they wanted, said what the wanted, and based on the women that accompanied them to the ring, could get any girl that they wanted...and he was absolutely enthralled. Having been born into an abusive household and frequently picked on in school, Sexton viewed professional wrestling as an escape in every sense of the term. To get the things he wanted out of life, he knew that he would have to become like those guys on he saw on TV. Money, fame, women. They had it all.

Sexton first broke into the wrestling business in his home country of Canada, having trained at a wrestling school just outside of Toronto where he grew up. He soon began working for various independent promotions in Ontario, Quebec and the northeastern United States. Eventually, he was given the opportunity to wrestle in Japan, Mexico and the United Kingdom before finally retuning stateside when he was offered an opportunity to work for GPW. Having travelled the world honing his craft, Sexton Love had gained a reputation as an old school wrestler capable of working a 60 minute match, going out all night, blacking out, and doing it all over again the next day.

Highly respected in the locker room, Sexton has become a prominent member of GPW. However, because of his self-destructive lifestyle the company is hesistant to fully invest in him as a main event level, World Heavyweight Championship caliber talent. As a result, he has carved out a niche in the upper midcard ranks as the GPW International Champion.

Wrestling Style: Old school heel.

Finishing Moves:
Lovemaker (Rainmaker lariat)
Sexecutor (Muta Lock)

Common Moves:
Piledriver
Sexplex (Fisherman suplex w/bridge)
Love From Above (Flying elbow, ripped off from the Macho Man)
Rude Awakening (neckbreaker, ripped off from Ravishing Rick Rude)
Massive Package (small package)
@Sarge I agree as well. It's 1996. If your entrane music was released after 1996 then it doesn't make sense to use it. For all intnts and purposes, it does not exist.

@alexfangtalon Looks fine, but I would probably change the picture in all honesty. Try to use a picture of an actual wrestler or at least an adult that looks like he could be a wrestler.

@Universorum You're not too late, we want to have as big a roster as possible.

I'm going to add a new character to the roster as well, the current reigning GPW International Champion. As we continue more NPCs will be added, and if you guys have ideas for NPCs to just pad out the roster feel free to send them to me and I might use them. Some NPCs will obviously just be one-off characters that we mention in posts but some could become recurring and be given a profile of their own.

We'll start the actual RP soon, probably not today just because I've got to do some stuff with the bae and whatnot. But hopefully in the next couple of days.

@geminironin Mike Blaze is approved, the only change I would make is to your finisher. The Blaze of Glroy can just be a shooting star press, it doesn;t have to always be through a table. Makes it more versatile.

@TheTrueGod Matt Emeralds is approved, go ahead and move him into the Characters section as well.
@Sarge Looks great, go ahead and post it in the Characters section when you get the chance.

Really liked the bold and yellow and I hope others follow your lead and format their sheets in the same way.
