Drake, the one they called "D", or at least that's what she remembered, spoke up next. His mention of being from Texas as well gave Sally Insta-grin. How interesting. She never would have pegged him for a country kid. Or maybe he had he grown up in the city? That was a big misconception that drive Sally crazy sometimes. People would think, just because someone was from Texas, they were automatically a cowboy who wore boots and rode horses. Well... Sally did, but that's because that's what she liked. And hey, maybe Drake played the part, but looked different. There was one thing about him though, that always drew her attention to him. His eyes. They were both completely different colors, and although she had seen the genetic mutation in dogs (In fact she had one), never had she seen it in humans before.
As he continued on about himself, Sally raised an intrigued eyebrow. But when he finally got to what his ability was, her expression changed, from intrigue, to awe. He seemed to think less of his ability, joking that he could save money on sunscreen.
"No," she piped up, holding her hands up as if to say 'what the Hell is wrong with you?'
"Have you ever thought of being a fire fighter?" Sally raised her eyebrows in a playful 'duh' sort of fashion.
"Do you have any idea how many lives you could save with that sort of ability?" Before he could really reply though, Nik finally spoke up. Sally shifted her eyes in his direction and gave him her attention. And she had been right in her assumption as far as his ability went.
"Hey, would that sort of thing work like... like in a bomb squad? Defusing bombs and stuff? Hypothetically, if one went off, you could survive It? Or you just make things explode?" Her last comment made her chuckle and she quickly cleared her throat, reapplying her innocent face. Nik then mentioned Api and Khloe, drawing everyone's attention to them. Sally looked up in the tree at the blonde boy narrowing her eyes in thought about him and his ability.
Unà though, was the next one to speak, and she had Sallys attention. She sunk into her hip and tilted her head, crossing her arms over her chest again as she listened to the other red heads ability. The girl could manifest illusions? Sallys's eyebrows raised in shock and she chuckled dryly.
"So... your dreams basically come to life?" Sally held her finger up in the girls direction, silent for a moment.
"I am not ever watching scary movies with you, and sleeping in the same room." Though she was partially serious, there was a playfulness to her tone. I mean, who would want to fall asleep in the same room after watching the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Krueger would literally kill you in your sleep! And quite frankly, that didn't sound too good to her.
"Make you watch something with Hugh Jackman or Ryan Reynolds in it... then maybe I'll sleep over," she added with a wink towards Unà. The girl then mentioned something, drawing everyone else's attention, to a boy walking up to them half naked. Sally's eyebrow raised and she shook her head.
"That, is Joseph, or Joey." Sally rolled her eyes and looked back at everyone else.
At that moment, Api finally spoke up. Sally' s head jerked in his direction with a wide smile.
"He speaks!" Sally giggled, indicating she was being playful with the boy.
Finally, her roommate spoke up, though Sally already knew of her ability. It was still always cool to watch though. The Korean girl took her hat from her head and froze it. Though, she must have realized she had frozen her hat, or perhaps it was her favorite, because she almost instantly regretted doing it. Once the hat was placed back on her head and she chuckled, Sally laughed and shook her head good naturedly.
"Hey, you can always keep the food cold if the power ever goes out," she joked with a wink.
When Api finally came down, Sally's first thought, was that he could levitate, but she waited for him to explain before jumping to conclusions. He stated his name, and that he was pretty much 'friend zoned' in his country. Sally made a pouty face. That was ridiculous! He was so cute! And then, he spoke of his ability. She had been wrong. They're abilities were somewhat similar in that they could lift things. Only difference, was he could make them weigh less or more. That was a pretty nifty thing too if you really thought about it.
"well, Gunnar, II'm quite certain you'll be able to find someone here. I mean, look at all these beauties," she said, motioning to the other girls. Sally never thought of herself as very pretty.
"And there are more lurking around somewhere." Sally smiled warmly at him.
Despite her playful remarks and teasing ways, Sally, at this point, figured that this place wasn't going to be as bad as she had normally thought. People more like her. People she could be herself around. That was her kind of place
A thought suddenly hit her. Sally looked around in search of the other red head she remembered. Temperance. She hadn't seen her yet.
