Brief History & Description: Western culture was once seen as the end of Japanese 'harmony.' However, a bold Japanese Princess spoke against these fears by stating, "I think we should have an imperial family that is more in line with current times. I don't think we need to be tied to old ways," and thus a new beginning was born. Japan began reshaping what it has known as 'harmony.' This redefining inspired a young girl to put the future of Japan into a floating lantern during Tōrō Nagashi and inevitably change the nation's course. This girl eventually grew-up and decided to shoot for the moon and follow her ancestor, Yoshio Nishina's legacy and became a physicist who worked at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

As technology evolved and the rapid nationalistic propaganda created Eastern cowboys with eyes set on following the sunrise, companies began making deals with each other to more efficiently begin exploring the final frontier. Companies such as Pioneer, Fujifilm, Nintendo, Bandai, Toe Animation, Sunrise, and Studio Ghibli made a conglomerate merger with JAXA and created Floating Lantern, Incorporated (FLI) as the guiding prayer, which lights the path of Japan's fortune. For this reason, FLI Zeppelins can be seen hovering over the small island, offering hope, prosperity, and good jazz to all citizens living on the Land of the Rising Sun. Needless to say, tourists are generously welcome, and immigration is highly discouraged.
