@hatakekuro I always assumed that the guild has at least a dozen generic wizards hanging around at all times like Fairy Tail did.

At the very least, there are around two dozen abandoned characters that are members of Phoenix Wing.
Yo. just wanted to give some warning that I'm going to be without internet for a few days (Starting tomorrow) so if I make any responses to anything it'll be in OOC and from my phone (Which I refuse to post IC from). Idk exactly howl long it'll be though. Just a heads up.

Which means our collab, @Noodles, will be/is on temporary hiatus.

Minutes passed with Michael standing there on the edge of the train, arms spread in the wind and his eyes closed. In his mind he was a great beast with wings the size of continents that flew between worlds. His dream faded however, as his body all too quickly figured out that there was a difference between 'flying' and 'being flown.' With this unpleasant realization, his euphoria finally fell out of his grasp, and Michael opened his eyes again. Sighting, he sat down with his legs hanging over the edge of the train. He was still smiling at the corners of his lips, he was still in love the feel of air, but he was no longer high on it. He looked at the stars that had offered him such a distinct eupnea, and slowly opened his mouth to ask a question that had been pestering him, even when he was an interplanar skybeast. "So, uh, what are you?" He asked all of them at once.

They spun around each other in small circles as they climbed above Michael, dancing a feet above his head.

"We shine and we sing."
"We watch from the skies."
"We see all things from below."
"We see all the sadness."
"We see all the joy."
"We shine! we shine! we shine!"

They sang out in harmonious chimes, spinning and chanting. Suddenly they darted in front of Michael's eyes, and he felt their soothing warmth at his shoulders.

"Fly with us!"

They sang. Michael's eyes went wide as he realized what they were offering. Or, at least, he was pretty sure they were offering. He took a deep breath. "Wh-what do you mean, fly with you?" He asked, feeling like he might be acting a little stupid for doing so, but this wasn't exactly an everyday kind of offer. "Also, how?"

"It's easy if you try."

They shone and span, and Michael began to feel lighter and lighter, realizing his shoulders were now covered in a glowing golden dust.

"Up up up!"
"Just think up!"
"Feel the sky!

Michael didn't quite understand, but he gave it a try. Up, he thought tenatively, and his feet detached from the roof the car. "Holy shit..." He looked down at his feet for a second, then back up at the starthings. "Thank you," was all he could think to say. He tried thinking in other directions, and moved in those ones too. In no time Michael was flying around above the train, getting comfortable with the new kinds of motion he was experiencing. He was a quick learner, and in no time he was practicing swoops in the air. He stopped when he passed by a window and saw someone in one of the metal boxes.

He flew himself up behind Sinead as she peaked inside Druuk's car and cleared his throat politely, trying to get her attention without scaring her. Forgetting the fact he was flying.

Mayt nodded to Jasmine as she woke up, having forgot about her originally- Something that he would try to apologize later for if he remembered. For now he kept his attention focused on Penny as she admitted to killing a phoenix. When she said 'my father,' however, Mayt had to wonder if she meant that metaphorically or literally. Could phoenixes assume a human form? If they couldn't, that would make the literal interpretation of that statement very... Weird. He elected not to ask, and nodded slowly.

"So... What then?" Mayt asked insensitively, not wanting to just walk away from the conversation while simultaneously knowing that there wasn't much more he could contribute to it. At least Jamie seemed distracted. That meant that Mayt could head off alone again without any problem. The green-eyes mage wondered, for a moment, why it was that he seemed to be trying to get away from the guild at every chance he got. The conclusion he dismissed the question with was that it meant that he wouldn't have to stick around and do S-Class things around the guild. No one can look up to you if your never around, he supposed. Besides, he had managed to do the past dozen jobs or so with nothing more than a cheek-scar to show for it. He still didn't want to take his chances with Jamie, though, even if he did have the power of precedent on his side.

Mayt only looked to Fleo long enough to make a quick gesture towards Penny, indicating that the phoenix slayer should be the one to explain. It was, more subtly, also a clue to indicate he wasn't just ignoring her.

Location: On Top of a Flying Train || Action: Gawking at the surroundings --> Talking to Faeries(?) || Mood: Exhilarated --> Worried --> Enjoyment
Interacting with: Faeries @Mae

Michael was flying. Standing on top of a giant metal box and flying. It was... This one moment alone trumped his whole life to this point. He had been married to a woman that he loved and that was nothing compared to the wind flowing through his hair, over his skin, filling his ears and setting his senses on fire. Michael laughed into the sky and held his arms out wide into the wind, feeling it push on him just a little bit. The feeling just made the whole moment feel even more amazing. The world fell away below him, revealing to him all its color and majesty. Blue and white-tipped mountains rose on the horizon, floating islands with waterfalls that somehow never ran dry, patches of rainbow forests, lakes, all of which extended just as far away as the wall did up. It was beautiful. Michael felt like he was king of the sky, like he was born to live above the clouds. He embraced the cool moisture as the faeries took them up through a small cloud, and smiled when he opened his damp eyes to the sky within the sky. Michael felt like lightning, ready to streak through the sky.

Michael felt like Death, ready to sweep down on his prey.

That last feeling made Michael stop short in his enjoyment of flying. That was... He swallowed, and forced his attention to the yellow orbs flying around his head. "Hey," he shouted over the wind. "Mind if I ask what, uhm, what you mean by blessing me?"

The little orbs giggled, as they'd been doing alot as they had been watching Michael, and darted across his face like tiny delicate fireworks.

"Nothing to worry about, little one."
"We will come to your aid."
"We will protect you."
"Yes we will."
"Safe up here, though."
"Stay up here with us!"

Michael looked at the little sparkles and came to realise that they weren't just glowing orbs as he origionally thought, but tiny little stars. He thought about their offer for a long moment, and turned back at the landscape again. It ripped his breath away like a tiger rips away its prey's throat.

"I... I might have to take you up on that. Flying... Seeing the world like this... It's amazing," he breathed, watching the world fade away into the great blue yonder. He walked up to the edge of the train, closed his eyes, and held his arms out in the wind. It was still amazing, even if he was guarding against some of the feelings he felt at first. He wasn't going to let his instincts make him pretend he was something he was not.

I'm awake in the morning this week, and I usually wake up around 5AM-7AM, so feel free to hit me up with a PM if u see me lurking around :X ~ Or we could just post conventionally from the sheer timezones difference ^^" ~

Yeah, conventional is going to be the easiest. I'll pm to start the collab soon-ish.
@Noodles Actually, Crimson corrected me, I'm in -4 so 4 to 11 Pm for you is 4 to 11 Am for me.

A mute point really, because I'm usually asleep all those times >.>

I'll try to get my sleep schedule into something more reasonable.
@Crimson Raven It changes due to daylight savings, I can never remember if it's -4 or -5 at any given time.
@Noodles I am... Literally on the opposite side of the planet from you, in GMT-5.

Though I'm pretty much free to collab whenever sooo...

When is your 'late afternoon?' bc you're 12 hours ahead of me.
Phoenix Wing Guild Hall
Mayt skewed his face as Penny talked, and nodded slowly. She talked about being a Phoenix as if it was bad, but he didn't see any downsides from where he was standing. You got practically immortality, powerful magic, probably a great deal of respect, and if you didn't, for some reason, want all that then you could choose not to take it when you died. Seemed to him like it was something without consequence. Though, he thought, he probably didn't really know enough about Penny's magic to really make a judgement on that. She definitely was talking about it like it was something supremely bad. As she made the comment about slayer magic, Mayt spoke up.

"Maybe it's a kind of worldy failsafe? For the things that have Slayers, they're pretty much the only thing that can kill them, but in order to keep those kinds of things from going extinct, the slayers become what they slay," Mayt knew that probably sounded extremely stupid, but he decided he would live with it. "But, from the legends I've heard, though I have not heard all of them by far, but what I have heard indicates that all the ones that did become what they slew actually killed one first. So maybe you won't become a phoenix unless you hunt down a phoenix? I, uh, don't really know. I'm mostly just spitballing here, but it's a thought, right?" Mayt shrugged, and noticed Mithera out of the corner of his eye. He saw Jarvis give her the lacrimas, but didn't think anything of it and looked back at Penny.

Mithera, however, was surprised that Jarvis was giving her a special teleportation lacrima. "Whoa, I didn't know teleportation lacrima like that were possible. I always thought they were supposed to always be a one or two-shot thing, thank you very much Jarvis!" Mithera leaned over the counter and gave Jarvis a hug before taking the other lacrima he was handing her. "Thank you again, and I'll see you soon!" She gave him a big smile, storing away the communication lacrima, and holding the teleportation lacrima with both hands.

In a double-wink of her eyes, Mithera was in front of Crocus city. She put the lacrima away, and looked at the royal castle rising in the distance, the still-young sunlight glinting off its exterior. Around it were the stone buildings of the city, some of them large to house important people and meetings, and some of them smaller, to accommodate those who could only just barely afford to live here. Mithera was standing a fair ways from the city limits, far enough out that there was more tree than there was building in view. Nodding solemnly to herself, she turned around to face the Magnolia direction of the road, as if to cast away her bad memories of the city. After all, the last time she had been here, Iron Enigma had stuffed her in a bag and then made her play cards against cheating lunatics.

It was a few minutes before Mithera realized that she should not be standing in the middle of the road, hands on her hips, waiting for Royse to arrive. For one, it might catch the attention or annoy people she didn't want to do either to, but also Royse probably wasn't expecting Mithera to be there when she arrived (And that she wouldn't be there for a while yet). Taking in a quick breath to gather herself, she went to the side of the path and sat against a tree, her eyes still down-road. Her plan was, when she saw Royse, she would hide and then follow as the other mage went about her mission. Yawning, Mithera ran it over in her head a couple times, including what she would say if she was caught--Anything but the truth.

The shapeshifter was so caught up in herself that she didn't even notice herself dozing off in the cold light and leaving herself visible to anyone who bothered to walk by.
