Full Name: Marzia Salvatori
Nicknames/Aliases: Marci, Mars
Age:15
Gender:Female; uses she/her pronouns
Division: Stealth
Powers:Invisibility:Marzia has a pretty standard stealth package with a few additions. She can shift herself and any objects she’s touching into an invisible, intangible state at will for up to 48 hours at a time. She can make herself partially tangible in this state so that she doesn’t fall through the Earth. In this state, she is undetectable by sight and by touch, although she can still be detected by hearing, smell, any thermal detectors, or really any system other than a video camera. She’s been known to walk through walls and fall through floors while invisible, which can give off the impression that she’s teleporting. It’s possible to startle her out of this state, but she’s trained well enough as to where it’s difficult. She’s well-trained in her ability and uses it skillfully.
Description:Marzia is a shorter girl at about 5’2” in height and at about 125 pounds. She’s lithe, made of lean muscle and not much else. Her hair is a dark, cascading brown, and her eyes are a similar shade of brown. Her skin is a light olive hue. She has several scars from varying incidents, including quite a few on her hairline and many on the heels of her hands, her elbows, and her knees. Other than that, her skin is flawless- it’s clear she goes through some sort of skincare regime to maintain it. Marzia’s ethnicity is Caucasian, specifically Southern Italian.
While it may be ironic considering her powerset, Marzia has an affinity for fashion. She can often be seen walking about campus in stylish clothing and artfully applied makeup without a care in the world.
Personality:Despite her status as a supervillain-in-training, Marzia is quite shy and quiet. She’s not outgoing at all- in fact, meeting new people is one of her least favorite activities. If she knows and likes someone, she’ll attach herself to them very quickly. She prefers to mold this quiet air into somewhat of an intimidating silence. She makes frequent attempts to intimidate and scare others, to act like they’re beneath her. She tries her hardest to project an aura of coldness. To do otherwise would invite people to walk all over her, she reasons. To perceive her as weak. And Marzia is anything but weak. She hates attention and would do anything to avoid it.
But, in reality, Marzia is sweet and kind. As much as she hates that aspect of her personality and tries to snuff it out, she is. She’d rather bring someone a gift than slit their throats, even though she’s supposed to do the latter. She feels strange urges to be kind, to be merciful, although she knows she should be anything but as a future assassin. Also unlike a future assassin, Marzia has a soft spot for animals. She’s been known to foster injured animals in secret throughout her years at Lanius, although it’s certainly not something she’d ever broadcast.
Crush:No. Maybe that’ll change?

Weaknesses:Electricity: In her invisible state, Marzia is particularly weak to electricity. When she makes an attempt to pass through it, it shocks her worse than it would if she was in her normal state. If she got a good enough shock, it could kill her by either the shock or her fusing back in the middle of an object. She keeps this weakness as close to her chest as possible, but it’s not difficult to notice.
Pity and Mercy: One thing that always gets Marzia in the middle of a kill is kindness striking at her heart. She doesn’t want to do it. She
can’t do it. If a person begs for their life, it’s more likely than not she’ll say yes. One thing to make her believe that her target isn’t truly a monster is enough to make her abandon her mission. She hesitates at the worst moments, too, thinking about things such as morality.
Brief History: Marzia Salvatori is in the mob. She was born in Sicily, Italy. Her father was the second cousin of the godfather of the Salvatori crime family. Powers run in their blood, making some Salvatoris innately wired for crime. It’s why they and the other crime families in Sicily hold such a strong hold over the city, despite heroes being about. It’s all a matter of good breeding.
Both of Marzia’s parents were powerless, an annoyance in the Salvatori family. Her mother had been specifically selected to marry her father because of her family’s history of stealth abilities in hope that they’d produce a powered child. And they did. After two powerless children, a boy and a girl (Giovanni and Luciana), Marzia was born. Her powers started to manifest when was around 6, and the family realized what a boon she could be, this daughter of a second cousin. Too bad she was born a girl- she could’ve been something truly great if she had been a boy, they said. They wanted Marzia as an assassin, and her parents had no option other than to say yes. They were low-ranked, but having a powerful daughter could push them up, get them more money.
So Marzia spent most of her childhood with her cousins and aunts and uncles on various family properties, learning to use her powers and wield weapons to kill. It was difficult. Sometimes, it seemed as though she was never quite good enough, no matter what she did. She was too kind, too meek, not strong enough, not ruthless enough. Her family was brutal in nature, so moments of loves were interspersed with moments of hard punishment. All she really wanted was to impress her family, become the villain they wanted her to be. So she pushed, and pushed, and maybe broke a few little things inside, until she was getting closer. In her free time, she loved animals and clothes and makeup. She even loved to bake a cake, once in a while, although she’d always get made fun of for it.
At 14, Marzia was sent away to Lanius. She didn’t quite understand at first- why did they send her away? Did she do something wrong?- but she quickly learned this was no punishment. It was a reward. The exorbitant sums they spent on her education proved that she could be enough for them. Many of her relatives had gone to Lanius before her, and they had proven successful. She could, too. And, in a strange way, she was glad to be away from home. Her other family members were a terror. She now finds herself dreading the times where she goes home, back to Italy. The past year at Lanius was of little note. Marzia made few friends and few enemies, and she stayed solidly in the middle of the crowd to protect herself. The kids at Lanius are tough and scary, but she tries to remind herself that she is, too. She tried hard to do little of note, although she has attracted attention a few times. Now, as the new year starts, she’s starting to wonder what she’ll accomplish and what will happen.
