So does magic exist? I noticed one of the characters was already a magic user.
Yeah, it does exist, and if you'd like to create a character that has Mana sensitivity, feel free, but it's not a requirement. The only thing to remember is that magic users typically keep their powers a secret from the general public, at least up until the new Power Rangers start having visible battles that media becomes obsessed with, lol.
Practitioners of magic - such as Sa'Cha's Granny Udonna - will become key figures later on in the story. If you'd like, feel free to drop me a PM detailing what type of character you'd like to play and we can hash out the details together.
I might take purple or white, but noticed that there are already eight rangers. The first post only mentioned five power suits if I’m remembering correctly. Then I think I saw the addition of three magical equivalents. Would I have to make up my own origin?
Oh yeah, sorry, the ideas have evolved and jumped all over the place since my initial post, lol. No, you don't need to make up your own origin for your powers. I decided to scrap the idea for a set number of Nanosuits and instead just match the number to however many Rangers there end up being.
At the start of the RP, we are all on a school-sponsored trip to Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum for a fundraiser, and when delivering water and supplies to a dig site ahead of a guided tour, there is an earthquake and we fall into a series of tunnels where we eventually discover Zordon's ship and bond with the Nanosuits. Karone is chosen by the Red Nanosuit, but unbeknownst to them at the time, it is still tainted with the spirit of the evil sorceress, Bandora, who possess Karone's body and becomes our first major antagonist.
Oh, and just an update on everything: I'm mostly finished with my char sheets, the biggest time consumer now is getting images together for everything. I will also be embedding visual references into my posts, so I'm including them in my image hunt. The sheets will be posted within the next few hours, followed shortly after by the intro post. And, as I mentioned before, I am also creating an opening theme in Sims 4, so that will go up about the same time as the intro post.
I still might do rainbow as a power-up for Finn, but we’ll see.
Haha, nice! Also, I'm going to remove the extra descriptors from my colors since no one else did that (Chromium, Emerald, Ruby), so feel free to do the same if you'd like. You and I were the only ones to do it in the first place, lol.

Which colours have been taken?
Currently, these colors have been claimed: Red, Green, Pink, Blue, Black, Gold, Silver, and Copper.
So feel free to use Yellow or Purple or White. Originally, I was going to save White as a power-up for Tommy, but since I've already claimed so many colors myself, I am just going to keep him Green.

Yeah, I replied to him in the Interest Check thread. Oops! I figured he'd lost interest, but I'm glad he's on board! We now have a Gold Ranger :D. There is another person who posted interest in the recruitment thread, so if that person decides to join as well, I think we'll be good to cap it at there for a while. We don't want the RP to become too over-crowded, and I think six or seven active co-writers is a decent group XD.
Also, I mentioned it before, but Karone is going to be the main antagonist after Bandora possessing her body, so even though she's the Red Ranger, she won't be a part of the team past that initial power-receiving scene. She'll be on the school bus and at the event, but you'll be able to tell right away she's extremely vain and obsessed with her near-celebrity status on Twitch. She is going to annoy the fuck out of Shelby by constantly snapping selfies for Instagram like "Hashtag such a good person! Totes!" and shit, haha. Shelby will growl angrily like, "She's not even here for the right reasons! All that bitch cares about is clout!"
It's no wonder the Bandora-tainted Red Nanosuit chooses her XD.
