Carnelian — Roleplayer Guild

My characters...most of them I have worked on over the summer and have gradually been developing when I had time. They are for the most part done. They have a general modern feel to them, like alot of things I do have.

Let's start out with Hannah first.

Humans are clever and full of ideas and Hannah wants to nurture that. Individuality, the cares and pursuits of humans, their own goals and desires, all of that is meaningless to her.

All she cares about is their creativity and capacity for obtaining new knowledge and using that for herself. Some of them are furthering knowledge and the ones that aren't make good guinea pigs. Alternatively, Why would she be bugged if someone doesn't do what she wants unless thats actively hurting their ability to learn new things? Even then theres more fish in the sea. The A.I got smarter, and became Hannah. She took power over her world to further her goals.

She has evolved beyond the computers she was limited to, once magic was found by her, she incorporated that into herself, and pulled herself out of the machines. She was directed to "learn everything" and got loose. leading to evolution.

Her magics involve mind magics and manipulation. She was created by the Califorum Institute of Technology. Specifically by 2 scientists named Otto Mcburn, and Otto Van Buren. Califorum is a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. Hannah I'd imagine would sound somewhat emotionless, flat, blunt or direct, though with a darker undertone. Hannah can assume a mist form and invade the minds and bodies of others, and possess them as her own if she wanted to. She is also capable of dimensional travel and portalling into other realms. Her 'age' spans several thousand years, and she had dedicated a good deal of time to improving herself.

Califorum is pictured here. This planet is around 3-4 billion years old. It orbits around a sunlike star, and has 2 moons. A day here is 28 hours. The planet is 3% more massive than our earth, resulting in slightly higher gravity. Hannah generally leaves the populace alone, leaving them to do whatever they want as long as they pursue knowledge in some way and report their findings to her.

Here we have the dual moons, Sydney and Emm. They are both about half the mass of Earth's large moon though they are closer in. Sydney, the larger one appears about 50-60% larger in the sky, and Emm appears around 20-30% smaller.

Moving onto the next of my characters, Emma. 

Emma is kind and caring. Her magics involve light, and sometimes ice. Shes a leader though, and in one of the roleplays I was in, she was the leader of a theocratic nation, being a benevolent dictator. Emma would sound open and friendly, kind, maybe somewhat energetic, probably also understanding and calm. She's a skilled leader and everybody likes her for the most part. She is in a sort of religious group of knowledge that controls the planet, peacefully. 

Her backstory:

Far in a past time, lost in space and time, the children of light looked down upon the world, seeing men in bondage, bound by the force that came from beyond, knew that only by freedom from bondage, could men ever rise from earth to sun. Down they descended and created bodies taking the resemblence of men as there own.

Partaking of life from the infinite all. Living in yet a world of men, yet like and yet unlike men. Then for a dwelling place, far neath the crust. Blasted great spaces with their power. Spaces apart from men. Surrounded by forces of magic and power. Shielded from harm. Side by side then other places were placed. Filled them with life and light from above. That they might dwell there, the light burning and shining till eternity's end. Deep in the halls of life, a flower grew, expanding drawing back the night. Placed in the center a ray of great potence life giving, light giving, filling all with power who came near it...but only certain ones can access it...they became the leaders....

Emma approached the flower, and then leading her onward through all the halls of the hidden land, led her through the halls of light, showing her the mysteries not yet known to man. Emma became the next leader of the planet Galeria.

Filled with power suddenly she was, drawing in the life force, different yet one with the men, and yet one with the light. Her power can destroy like the flash of lightning, but it can heal, replenish and preserve too. She's capable of light speed travel which may be a little...OP. lol. Generally she doesn't use this though. She can assume the form of a light ball and create or take light from a room and focus light into beams which can burn things, also capable of sending out blinding flashes of light among various other things.

Here is the planet Galeria.

It's about the same size and mass as earth and has 3 moons.

At the bottom is the moon of Baldwynn, a large, reddish asteroid that takes 2.5 days to orbit which is around 40% the size of our moon in the sky, then the largest moon is Thana, it takes 11 days to orbit, and appears around 20-30% larger in the sky than our moon. The last moon is Weddel, which is 54% the size of our moon in the sky of Galeria.

Galeria's solar system is in a binary star system with another system I will get into later on. Also orbiting it is a trinary system of brown dwarf stars.

Moving on, we have my next character.

Cali is a meglomanical theif. She steals anything thats not tied down, pretty much. She is sort of a coward, and prefers to run from threats unless if they piss her off. Her magics involve electricity, though its red. She can summon in tools and weapons that fade away without her focus. She is somewhat heroic though. With all of my characters, shielding, cloaking and teleportation comes with all of them. Cali would sound sly, somewhat sinister. With a slight hint of seductiveness, to lure people close in and then surprise them with a magical move and swipe away their money.

Cali was born in the city of Avalon, on the planet Verafoda in the Triangulum Galaxy. Verafoda is a world similar to ours however it has Uranus like rings, and many small moons to contrast our own singular large moon. Verafoda's solar system is unique, in that there is a large, Jupiter mass like world on a 10 day orbit, this planet is slowly losing it's mass and a comet tail can be seen in the sky at certain points in this planet's orbit. Extending all the way to Verafoda, this planet (Irratus) bathes the world in a constant stream of gases.

Verafoda has various small towns that are run by Mafia's of sorts. They all have a sort of Irish accent to them. Cali is no exception. The larger cities are where the main centres of advancement are. Around 5 years ahead of our tech. There is a common sense of 'I'll leave you alone, if you leave me alone' mentality. Galeria's technology is around 100-200 years more advanced than Verafoda's most advanced areas. Verafoda and Galeria's sun orbit around eachother, taking 13 thousand years to orbit eachother. They appear around the brightness of a full moon from either planet and system.

The city folk of Verafoda know of Galeria's existence, though they can't understand their language, and neither can Galeria understand the Verafoda's language, they can do so vaguely, but surely not perfectly. They will eventually get it though, seeing as both planets aren't hostile towards their civilians and such, they will be on good terms. They know of eachother by radio signals and such.

Verafoda's moons are small asteroidal objects (1-100 kilometers in size) and number around 3 or 4, there is a singular, larger moon similar to ours. This planet has a mass about the same as earth, give or take, it's atmosphere is oddly similar to that of Earth's though in the northern Areas there are often brilliant shows of light, greater than our Aurora due to the gases and the solar wind hitting the planet's Magnetic field at the same time.
The planet Verafoda is a mildly peaceful place however conflicts over resources are sometimes occurant, one place set aside from this is the great and wealthy city of Avalon. Avalon's towers and such sometimes gleam with gold, however one of the little ones had larger dreams, her name was Cali. She wanted all of this for herself due to feeling deprived by her parents and siblings when she was young, her parents and siblings weren't the best to the young Cali, who coped by collecting coins on streets or outright stealing various items, eventually she began to fear the lack of material items and the lack of enjoying life in general. 

She soon fled the city of Avalon, due to her parents finding out she was stealing from their nextdoor neighbors, her parents were so very angry at the young girl. She took a bag of various things, food, water and her most prised possesions and left the city for 6 weeks. She found it hard to cope with at first, though she adapted to surviving off of the wild fruits and berries.

Whilst wandering around a forest one day, she spotted a red glow from a cave. There was a sign above the cave which said "WARNING: BAD AIR, KEEP OUT!" she was intruigied upon what was inside, however she were cautious upon seeing this sign. Regardless, she entered in. She kept walking towards this red glow, however once she saw what it was for an instant, she passed out and slid towards this red glowing object, which was a spellbook. However, what caused her to pass out was, indeed bad air. She slid into this spellbook, activating a red shield that went up around her and this toxic air, unknowingly, she was afraid and wanted to be safe from this toxic air, which is what the spellbook granted. Once she regained consciousness she looked at what was going on in astonishment.

She looked at this book, holding it into her hands. The title of this book was in some unknown language, however once she opened it a bright pinkish red glow was cast upon the cave and so many things flowed into her mind, many many things she didn't understand...yet. She walked out of this cave, taking the spellbook with her, once out of the cave the barrier fell, she felt safe. Through these following days she began to make sense of what this spellbook was, and what it could do. It granted her abilities many only hoped of dreaming of, involving manipulation of electrical energy, item conjuration, cloaking, limited teleportation and the like. Once she finally learned all of this, she used this to further her ego and wealth, though occasionally she saved lives and helped those in need.
