@Leslie Hall I get that civilians can't see the shadows or anything until they're pulled into the distortion field, but could you elaborate on that a little more for me? Like, I was kind of planning on having all the screaming civilians outside the building Jinx is in be screaming as a result of the Shadows. Like they had already been pulled in, I guess. But how does one pull a civilian in? By touching them? By getting just close enough to them? They're getting pulled into something like an alternate mirror dimension, right? But all the damage Jinx is currently doing to the building will be permanent once it's all over? Or no?

Shadows pull their victims inside of their distortion fields when they get close enough to their target. Key word target; most Shadows are simple minded animals with a one track thought process. They see a human and think 'food' and then go in to chase them. When they reach their targeted human they pull them in. If they pass other humans along the way, they won't be pulled in unless the Shadow's attention is brought to them for whatever reason.

Stronger Shadows can pull in multiple humans over larger distances. Familiars don't need to feed off of humans since they technically live off of their Witch's magical power, but they are still able to pull humans into the Otherworld (I'm going with this name btw).

@wxps350

Heya, the shadows don't look like dolls. The dolls were in Jinxtopia. I already described what the seven big shadows look like. Unless... can anyone change the form of a shadow to anything they want at any given time? 'Cuz I won't put as much effort into describing them in the future if that's the case... ^_^;; I suppose we'll have to wait for @Leslie Hall to explain that, but I personally would prefer if shadows, for the most part, kept their form. So that the monsters I fabricate aren't made weaker by sudden transformations.

Other than their silhouette form which they use for convenient travel and overall spookiness, a Shadows form really doesn't change. That being said, humans who wonder into the Otherworld will only be able to see a Shadow's silhouette form until they get close to them.

Seeing as we're going with Otherworld, I think it's fitting to compare Shadows to the creatures in Silent Hill 2. Each Shadow is a manifestation of a certain persons negative feelings. For this reason, a Shadow's form doesn't really make sense to anyone aside from the person who unknowingly created it. Even then it can be quite a shocking experience to witness a Shadow that they won't really realise what it is supposed to be. So yeah, Shadows don't appear differently to everyone but they do mean different things depending on how you look at them.

I have returned from abusing my liver in ways that it has not been abused before. Ayyy.

If anyone wants to throw down some plots with the Zeva siblings, feel free to hit me up here or in PM! Though I'm not super sure how clubs will go since I don't want to stack on multiple clubs onto the twins and then find out that the school takes a more traditional Japanese stance on school clubs. H-Haha.

In the meantime, I'm gonna try and figure out where I wanna put Iksander to start. To the coin flip!

EDIT:: I should probably clarify that Srebrenka is an NPC for the moment, but I mean. Still open for plots if anyone wants. xD

Not 100% sure about the whole traditional Club thingy, but I believe students can only join one sports club and one culture club at a time? I might be wrong. Here in Australia our school had a lot of extra-curricular clubs and they pretty much had a "join as many as you can handle" mentality. I should also state that Yagami High is, while not the most prestigious of schools, privately run and funded with quite a lot of facilities. If you'd like your character to be apart of a club that isn't usually seen in Japanese schools (Like Kim in Boxing Club) then go ahead as long as it's not something really out there like the Mini-Golf club (It's more realistic to think the school has a demountable boxing ring than it's own mini-golf field y'know?).

If you're thinking "But Leslie, my character comes from a family with low socioeconomic status. They couldn't realistically afford to send their kids to a private school. How do I justify this?" I suppose they could have received a Scholarship of some kind similar to Haruhi in Ouran Highschool Hostclub. The whole rich school being all "Let's open our doors to the poor so they can see how the other half live" kind of deal. Yes it's condescending but I'm too hungover to think of a better plot contrivance.
Tkay Maidza is in town tonight so I'm going to see her live with a friend. So no posts from me.
@Pudding nonono its good! It fits Salve tbh.
@Leslie Hall

Since Lucas is a Prince, would he still retain his memories of the events after leaving the shadow field?

I was thinking of using the memories (if they remain) as a bit of a hint to the other Princes (namely Kim, who--I think--would be the only one Lucas can recognize in and out of transformation) that Lucas is also a Prince and then you can stop dealing with the dumb citizen who keeps wandering into shadow fields all the time, haha.

Unless you had a totally different plan up your sleeve for de-potatoing Lucas. I'm cool with anything, haha.

He will retain his memories.

Also I don't mind Lucas coming to Kim during school. It would make sense since Jumani kept using his real name. I should probably add that while transformed, you're completely unrecognizable even if your appearance doesn't change that much. This means Prince's like Kim who don't wear a mask still have their identity kept a secret.

Unless someone says their name... like what happened here. I'd like to ask very nicely that none of the Sun Princes heard him saying Kim's name.

But yeah have Lucas be in the know and come to Kim; we'll organise a way for him to realise who Kim is. Perhaps he shows up to the Boxing club for some reason idk.

IT'S ALMOST FINISHED!

Got a little bit pre-occupied with finishing up a post for the rp I'm running as well as contacting the dog breeder to clarify some things, but I'm almost done! I just need to write up Zen and Bayard now. It's mostly Zen's intro post that's taking a while.

Speaking of, anyone free to rp with Zen?

The euphoria of the hunt was something that Kim knew all too well. He stood there in the empty street with heavy breaths, staring down at the pavement where the sticky, black substance the Shadows secreted when destroyed. While he watched it slowly thin out and disappear into the cracks in the concrete, he couldn't help but smile. The nature of hunting Shadows was incredibly dangerous, even to the Princes, yet here he was smiling as if it were all some joke. Perhaps this was his fate as a Sun Prince; forever craving the thrill of the hunt. His fist clenched around the hilt of his blade in frustration. He closed his eyes, cascading the already dimly lit streets in darkness. Kim breathed in through his nose, letting the scent of the city flow through him. For a brief moment, the world melted away around him and he was submerged in the fragrances of the world. Through the salty sea breeze, aromatic roasted coffee beans and excited sweat; Kim detected something rancid. There were some Shadows approaching a few blocks away. No doubt they could smell him just as well as he could them.

Kim slowly opened his eyes, only to find a young man planted directly in front of him. Instinctively he took a step back, his hand reaching for the hilt of his blade. Of coarse it didn't take him long to realise he was just dealing with an ordinary person. Except no ordinary person would be able to walk around in here. Kim glanced the boy over once, watching him keeled over and panting like a dog. He must have had sprinted here. He looked to be a few years younger than Kim. Squatting down slightly to meet the stranger at eye level, Kim began to speak.
"Hey, are you alright man?" Before he could get an answer, a familiar voice spoke up from behind him.
"Hoooooooi, Lein-kun! Please make with the slowing of your speed!" Standing up straight at the sudden voice, Kim turned around to greet the puffed out Salve with a smile and a gentle punch to the shoulder.
"Remember to avoid using my name, Naive Prince." Kim looked around to make sure no one was nearby. "If a Witch finds out who we really are then we're screwed." Salve continued to talk, seemingly distracted by Lucas, before deciding it would be safer for Lucas to be kept in one of his magic bubbles.

"Lein-kun! We have a single civilian and multiple shadow's coming. I'm unaware of the whereabouts to which our remaining mates are. But do not fret captain! I'm sure they will appear to us soon!" You did it again, thought Kim with a sigh of defeat. He froze for a moment, thinking about what Salve just said. Captain? Stepping forward, Kim flicked Salve on the forehead with a slight 'tsk'.
"I'm not your Captain. We don't really do that here. Even if we did; we're the same age so it'd be weird." Kim was surprised that he was letting himself entertain the thought of being the Captain. He wasn't going to lie; it sounded cool.

The scent of something else Kim found to be rather unsavory touched his nose. He rolled his eyes as two other magical presences appeared suddenly nearby. Of coarse they would show up on Sun territory; they couldn't resist making things more tense than they needed to be. Kim turned to face the Prince of Tricks, scowling at his comment about the civilian 'getting in the way'.
"We've got this handled, Moon Boy." He spat out the derogatory nickname as if it were poison, "I'm not in the mood to be dealing with your kind tonight. Take this opportunity to get the hell out of here before someone not as nice as me shows up and picks a fight with ya." Despite his warning, it seemed as though the Trickster Prince had other plans. The other Moon Prince Kim had sensed had yet to appear up until the moment he materialized behind Lucas' bubble. Kim wanted to groan. Of coarse it was the Smoke Prince; one of the few people who Kim always had trouble detecting before it was too late. Speaking of, it seemed Smokey had decided to take it upon himself to whisk away Lucas to safety. The Trickster Prince was quick to follow.

"Oi!" Kim called out, leaping up into the way whilst a thicket of vines sprouted from the ground below him. The thorny plants rose up and twisted together, creating a row of rosebuds that sprang open into large flower platforms for Kim to run along. He intended to chase the two Moon Princes when suddenly he felt the horrid presence of Shadows. The ones that were tailing him from a few blocks away had finally caught up. Kim almost growled, his teeth grit in frustration as he had no choice but to drop the chase and return to Salve to help him fight the Shadows. Leaping down from his vines, Kim flourished his blade and spun through the air. A phantom copy of Blooming Rose phased into existence in front of him, which he anticipated with a preemptive grabbing motion in front of him as it appeared. Clasping two swords, Kim stabbed them downwards as he fell onto a Shadow that had begun forming near Salve.

"Let's get this over with; I need to exert some energy so I don't feel the urge to wring the necks of those two Moon Babies when I find them." With that final word to Salve, Kim leapt forward into the fray with reckless abandon.
Currently working on the post.

Also I'm trying to decide on Kim's 'special' battle theme for when he's involved in a Witch fight or battling a Familiar.

I'm thinking of sticking with my whole Blazblue thing and using Queen of Rose. I'm also heavily considering Battle for the Umbra Throne but I feel like that would be more fitting for a Witch vs Witch fight (If that ever happens :3c)
@Leslie Hall Oh sure! I want site how much you wanted in the application and how much should be just down in the RP. I can definitely out more of s backstory for you. Shoukd i just edit the original and place it there?

Yes that will be fine! Let me know when you've finished the edits.

Also, @PapiTan, your characters are accepted but because I believe we discussed your Witch being currently dormant we're still down one Witch character.

I was planning on writing up a CS for Beatrice, the Witch mentioned in Kim's backstory, so she can fill in as an NPC. I'm not sure what Jinx's relationship to her would be, but I'm sure myself and @Baklava can figure that out.
@Trainerblue192 Very nice character. I am a very big fan of the Magical Composer! I do have to say though, I find his backstory to be a little vague. Could you elaborate a bit more in regards to when he discovered his powers (or if he's yet to) and how he came to be in Tanzaku City?
@Pudding I'm just at the shops atm doing my groceries for the week, when I get home I'll be posting.
