I'd love to try out my Game of Thrones crossover, but I understand it's not for everyone. I also in general prefer using existing settings over homebrew.
I prefer play by post as well. Not least because i live in a different timezone than most here.

We can use discord for planning and stuff, but actual playing should happen here at the forum.
What sort of support roles are there?
I have experience in DMing 5e (in fact I run a fairy tale RP irl).

I'm fine with discord.
I don't think we have started anything yet. This is the last thing YamiNoNeko posted, and after that nothing.

I wonder if we should start making something out of this check ourselves.
Mr Gimmick

S-Punk rubbed his chin and mumbled to himself for a moment. "Well, I don't see why not. I only had this planned for today." S-Punk then took a moment to look around and make sure there weren't any unexpected listeners. "Alright. We meet at twelve PM. The abandoned observatory in Creese. In uniform." S-Punk said in a rather assertive voice. The kid definitely had an attitude that was for sure.

"I will see you then, S-Punk" The drone said before flying away, taking some copper wire as it left. Had to keep up appearances after all. Jake then set the drone on a spot to look at S-Punk's movement from a good distance away. He let the kid finish his quest in the junkyard, while getting himself ready for the meeting.

Jake decided that a basic gear up would do for now. The default green armor with a red G painted on the chest, with some room for equipment here and there. Grappling hook was probably good for now, and perhaps some suckers to the gloves and soles. However, although he didn't consider the boy to be a threat at the moment, he couldn't be too careful. He added the Trap-Escape Gauntlet with a small saw for cutting rope and similar restraints, and an electric surge to deactivate mechanical locks. Granted, it was likely that whoever trapped him would remove it, but from time to time someone forgot to.

And as pièce de résistance, the Thunderpants. During his career Jake had noted that folks preferred to threathen with a gun from behind, so he created a defense mechanism for it. Thunderpants looked like any normal powered armor briefs, but at the bottom there was a surprise: a small valve that would release invisible knockout gas at whoever was behind Jake at the command word.

Jake took his helmet and spoke the command.

"I can't hold it anymore!"

A fart sound was heard from the Thunderpants. It was a useful sound for masking what really was released. Useful and comical, perfect for a supervillain like Mr. Gimmick.

"Check."

Jake, satisfied with the armor, then went to make some final checks to his car. At least the camouflage seemed to work. There was nonetheless much to prepare for before the meeting.
Thank you for the vote of confidence.

And I think it's a good time to reconnect.

@Coltshan and @rebornfan320 , I know it's been two weeks since we talked last time, but would either of you still be interested in this?
Count me interested.

Would certainly be fun to gain a seemingly weak power or similar, and then use creativity to make it strong.

Or to become a monster of some kind and develop from there (as long as we can be something else than goblins, they're overused if you ask me)
I could be a DM, if you folks want.

Although I should probably mention, currently my inspiration is towards existing fandoms, especially Game of Thrones (with some other fandoms to add flavor). But I can work with other ideas as well.
Name

Sergeant Major (retired) Jasper "Jas" Dennehy

Gender

Male

Age

Inner or Outer City?

Outer

Appearance

Jas is a gruff looking older man. His face is prematurely aged, scarred and grey. Jas shaves only when he feels like it, so he can appear clean shaven, with a stubble and sometimes even a full beard. Whenever Jas isn't wearing his Sky Farm uniform, his clothes tend to be old and hand-me-down, a sign of Jas' general miserliness. Nonetheless, he never goes out without a protective vest of some kind. Outer City can get quite dangerous.

Background

Jas doesn't remember much of his family, before he joined the army, Jas was an orphan. He learned to survive, relying both himself and the others. It is good to be independent, but alone you can only do so much, that is what Jas learned during his long life as an orphan and a soldier.

World War III may be over, but there is still chaos outside New York. Raiders and bandits, remnants of US Armed forces turned separatists, fundamentalist cults, radicals both left and right wing, and who knows what else. The Armed Forces loyal to the Government are as busy as ever, including the Rangers, whose main mission now is to safeguard the borders of the ever expanding City-State. Over the years in the Rangers Jas has seen much war and taken many emotions. Fighting is a traumatizing experience and many soldiers would probably have a hard time coping without emotions. Sometimes even they don't help. One day Jas forgot his apathy shot and became shell-shocked from the experience during a mission. It was then that he started questioning his feelings for the first time. Under apathy, the enemies were enemies, but suddenly he saw them as people as well. He became increasingly hesitant to take his shots, until he decided to retire.

Jas returned to Outer City, seeking a more productive life. He eventually joined the Sky Farm Project as a security guard. Post-War New York is a massive city, which requires a lot of produce. However, most farming buildings are located in Inner City, and supply chains are poorly managed, which is why Outer City suffers from famines. The purpose of the Sky Farms is to create new farms to the Outer City's rooftops to provide food and employment. However, they are susceptible to raids by criminals, which is why security guards, like Jas are needed. It's a dangerous job, but at least now Jas has something he feels worth protecting.

Personality

Jas is a man of experience, mostly bad. He prefers to keep his distance and doesn't make friends easily. However, you can count on him if you win his trust. It is also the most likely time for you to meet his philosophical, thoughtful side. Despite his military background, Jas isn't fond of fighting and prefers to talk before shooting. However, he won't hesitate if he needs to fight. He doesn't use liquid emotions, because he feels like you lose your identity to them. He may feel sad, angry, or unhappy, but at least that is what he truly feels like. That is another reason why he has difficulty making friends, because he often questions if he is friends with the person, or the liquid emotions in them.

Level of addiction

Clean

Pro or anti liquid emotion?

Anti, at least on principle

Other/Extra Info

Jas is trained in Gun Kata. His preferred style is the Blitzkrieg Rifle Tactics he learnt as a ranger, though he knows other styles as well, such as Wrestling Cobra.
