By follow Hiruki you meant peruse her romantically right? :0
Well here's my go at it!

This looks neat and i'd love to join, but what sort of things would our characters be doing though. A journey of self discovery? A quest for glory or to discover the root of true magic and try to acquire it for humans? How will our characters know one another?
Olive Valintina

Day 307 (Present days.)
11:29 a.m.
2nd floor above the back entrance, The Army Base, Pennsylvania

Olive cast her gaze over the harsh green of the pine forest. They had no need to flee from the decaying teeth of the enemy. In fact for them and other plants, the apocalypse was probably some sort of holiday retreat, complete with the end of pollution and deforestation. She hated them for continued as they were before, turning out oxygen, and keeping poor humans like herself trapped in skin that would not give way to the harsh natures of reality.

Birds were much better, she thought as they erupted from the trees, at least they helpful. They signaled the approach of the damned, and a fight that would put them to rest.

Almost happy for something to do Olive raced back down to her small room to fetch her binoculars, or rather celesta's, but Olive used them more. The room was cramped with several bunks, each telling of someones life. Olives was the one with the heavy faded quilt and stacks of notebooks piled underneath. The one next to an always well made, tidy bed with nothing underneath. Without another thought of Celesta Olive hurried back to the second floor window where she could watch the whole ordeal in relative safety and resumed watching the approach. One day it would be her Mom and Dad to have frightened the birds. They'd come out of that same woods and into the field. Maybe not Margret, Olive figured but her dad for sure. Tom would make it. He'd be alive, tired and hungry, but alive. He would hurry see the base and tears would spring to his eyes. He'd run to the door and come in and ask for her, and only her. He beg the first human he came across, "were's Olly, were's my baby she must be here i'v checked every where". Then they'd be a family again. He'd ruffle her hair and ask her how college is, and she'd tell him she just needed a little more time to finish her studies. Even with death outside the door he'd still ask about school. When he got there, everything would be alright again.

But for now the small group of armored and armed had set off on foot, for painfully obvious reasons. There was a small girl running towards them as fast as her small legs could carry her, fleeing from the monsters no doubt Olive added to herself. She was waving her hands as she went, yelling probably. One of the larger guy had enough brains even to alert the fellow troops of the on coming danger, not the girl the monsters that would be coming from behind. Another of the troops, a twig who didn't want to be out there in the first place, seemed to be trying to escort her back while the others set out into the woods to finish off the trailing creatures. They disappeared into the woods.

Olive strained her eyes trying to see through the traitorous branches and foliage. To see the patrol, that she just as easily could have been in. Surely they were fighting, bludgeoning the skulls of the demons outside the safe house. Beating them into submission for the gods or God or for their own personal safety. Olive paid no mind to the little girl, she was old news, just another accessory to the camps interior. Outside was were the real world rest, not in the palm of people any more, but in the deepest pits of hell.

I guess i'll go if that's alright :0

"that's neat." Brynn chimed vaguely.
"Um, what are marks?? Are they a normal school thing? I never went to any real school, I think my mum was didn't really think i'd fit in at a desk job anyway so there was no point." She continued contently, remembering learning all kinds of things on her own.

"But yeah, I'm sure it'll be fine. It's more like an adventure really. There can't possibly be that many ways to mess it up." She said, trying to keep up with the conversation.

She'd been doing pretty well up until about a moment ago of keeping up but now she was finding it harder and harder to think of responses. Questions certainly worked, but changing the topic so often seemed rude. How long had it been since they left anyhow, surely not that long. Part of her still wondered if it was a magic train or a normal train, she'd been on neither before so supposedly it didn't matter, but she still had a nagging feeling that if it were a magic train than it would be somehow more overzealous than a normal train. It dawned on her that she'd really not experienced as much as the other students , magical or otherwise. She'd grown up in a small cottage outside a small town, she'd hardly seen cars there for the lack of necessity. Would the wizarding world be that much different, holding a conversation wasn't any easier.

Jay rose to his feet as well, sharp claws digging into the door as he went. He understood the starvation and the cruelty they had made her endure, having lived through it himself. "Yeah, I'll help you get out. I've been trying to get away for ages, if we manage to get out of here then you can explore. Just, not in this place though. Outside. In the open." He hushed, before returning his attention to the door.

With great effort he shoved the knob downward, attempting to break it off. It only bent slightly but it was something at least.

He guessed that if the handle could somehow come off then the lock would be exposed, and they'd be able to escape. He'd done it once to his own door ages ago, but after that he hadn't been back in a room with them to try again. Hopefully, he thought, with help from Alpha, or whatever her name was, they'd be able to get out of this prison and far, far away.
@Arista
"right, watever." he said, mostly to the door whose handle he was trying to break off most ineffectively. After several unhelpful minuets he turned his back to the door. He scanned the empty room before coming to the conclusion that the girl and he were the only ones in the room. He slid down to the floor, mirroring her action. He glared at her for a moment, leaving the room silent.

"Have you tried to get out, or..." He hissed, barely audible as though he felt someone might be listening, leaving the though hang mid air. He thought for once o how he aught to word his phrase.
"or were you going to help them?" he jeered, deciding to find out in the most direct way.

His stare didn't leave her for a second. It threatened, at times, to search the room again, to look for something else, but he knew there was nothing aside from her to pose any sort of threat and therefore no reason to shift his gaze.

Brynn's face lit up as the candy lifted off the table and continued beaming even after it fell down. That was a spell from one of the latter chapters in the book of spells grade one, they'd probably even learn it later that year.
"Isaak that's amazing!! That's way ahead of were we're starting, like chapter eight or something in the book of spells! How'd you get it to work! You must be very talented! Lavender did you see!! It was This far off the table!" She held her hands a little farther apart than how far off the table the candy had gotten.

"It must be nice growing up in the wizarding world. Not that the not wizard world isn't good, just, it's less magical." Brynn said whimsically, seemingly calm for the first time since she'd gotten on the train. Perhaps because for the first time since she'd gotten on the train she'd become afraid. She'd had friends for the first time in her life, and while she figured she was doing a fine job of keeping them now, she wondered if they'd be split up once they got to hogwarts, and that she'd have to start over again. It was a silly thing to worry about, just a thing that some how came to mind and made itself at home most unwelcomed. None the less she inhaled deeply and put back on a brave, happy, face.
